I actually visited the salon a few months ago, but I wanted to leave a review anyway. I have struggled for a long time to find stylists that actually listen to me, but I feel really at home at Hair Today. Bella is the stylist I usually go to, as she is so talented and very easy to talk to. This spring, she perfectly recreated my inspiration pics for my balayage and I'm so excited to book my appointment this fall! read more

Jacob is the best. I would not trust my hair to anyone else. He is an expert in color, cut, and extensions. Always professional, always supportive, and always helpful. I moved to West Hartford, but I make the journey to Glastonbury every time I need my hair done by Jacob because I know it will be done right. read more

Absolutely wonderful place. Incredibly skilled stylists ...my hair has never looked better. Whomever "Jenna W" is ...she is wrong. The staff are amazing...each and every one of them. read more

I just had knee surgery and needed a simple way to take care of my hair. Jacob did a Dutch braid that will last through recovery. Hair Today is my go to for all blow outs and styles. I've the people and the vibe. Thanks for taking care of me today. read more

Color and cut. Great price. Great Vibe and I absolutely loved Jacob-he was exactly what I was hoping for and made great suggestions and did a fabulous job. Can't wait to go back. read more

Very rude. Extremely inflated prices (ridiculously) Staff is very fake and pretends to be sweet but speak very unkindly about customers. read more

I was actually at the UPS store next-door and I saw someone taking a picture of a girls hair outside of the salon, and it looked gorgeous so I went in. They had beautiful products that I use for my hair and everyone was so friendly. I wasn't sure if I can make the 10 o'clock appointment that they had for the next morning but I called back and did set that with Jacob. Jacob is a doll, so easy-going, so professional, so skilled. He is amazing with a blow dryer. I just needed a blowout, but my hair is crazy and unmanageable, but he tamed it in like less than an hour. I don't think you know what kind of feat that is. My hair is beautiful, my hair is shiny, and it smells good and it's exactly the way I wanted it. I would see Jacob every week if I lived in Hartford, he is that amazing. Go see him. (did I mention that everyone is so so nice?) read more

Today I had an appt and Jacob did my hair love the outcome he was so nice and welcoming def will go back and recommend him he did exactly what I ask for read more

I had booked an appointment 2 weeks ago to get a simple haircut and when I went to go attend my appointment, the doors were closed and the lights were off. They had closed and didn't even bother to mention that my appointment couldn't be accommodated. read more

Hair Today is the only Salon that I would go to. Super professional and experienced in all areas of hair care. I have been with them for almost 30 years. Always caring for me no matter what. I see Kristin, but if something happens and she is unable to are for me, someone in the salon will take care of me. When I was in a wheel chair a few years ago, they all took care of me, right in my chair. Mike and Jane are wonderful business owners. Make an appointment. Someone just might fit you into this very busy Salon. I love all the staff members. read more

The salon has an upbeat, yet relaxing atmosphere with effective safety protocols in place. Moving to the East Coast meant leaving behind my "Hair-Genius"/salon owner whom I'd gone to for many years. Never have I ever trusted anyone to "do what they think is best" as I previously did with my West Coast guy until I discovered Melanie. She listened to exactly what I wanted and nailed it - beyond my expectations! Melanie truly cares about her craft and clientele, and it shows in her demeanor and in her amazing work. I've had many compliments, and my friends here all agree that she is one of a kind. I recommend this salon and Melanie wholeheartedly! read more

Received a hair cut yesterday with Megan. She was great and made to sure to help me get what I wanted plus taking into account my hair type with recommendations to help out when I didn't know exactly what I wanted. I received the most compliments from my new hairstyle ever. Megan was great and definitely recommend! read more

I had a really nice experience here. My stylist was very sweet. After a few days, I began to feel like the color was slightly brassy. Understandable, as it was my first visit. I called, and was booked an appointment immediately. A quick toner, and viola! Perfection. I'll definitely be back read more

I went to see Kristin today on the recommendation of two good friends,Michelle and Cristina! I am absolutely thrilled with my color, foil and cut! My former hairdresser for 40+ years suddenly passed away, and I didn't know where to go! So grateful for the match with Kristen! She was so pleasant, friendly, and professional! I already made an appointment for October!! I am a satisfied client! read more

Absolutely perfect. The owner Michael personally came to the salon to greet me with the most thoughtful little gift bag the salon created for nurses and front liners. I am a traveling nurse from NJ and I disclosed this to Michael when explaining how hectic my schedule was. His staff was more than accommodating with scheduling my appt and I was in the chair the next day. Greeted with smiles by the staff and my amazing colorist magician Jacob at the door. Jacob Went over his plan for my hair in detail and even discussed pricing with me prior to the service. That has got to be the first time anyone has ever done that and I appreciate it at more than he knew. He asked what a comfortable price point was for the services and we agreed upon a number. There were no secrets or surprises at the end of the visit. My favorite part about the salon is that it was approachable. It wasn't fancy and glamorous and over the top where you felt uncomfortable. There were normal people working there and getting serviced there. If I lived in this area I would definitely make this my go to spot. You have to stop by and give these guys a try. They also had a full line of hair products to purchase which I plan to visit again and purchase some things. A+ all around and a TRUE LOCAL community business. We all have to get back to shopping local and fight big business. Support your community and check out Michael's shop and get in the chair with Jacob. You will NOT be disappointed!! read more

Very happy with our experience here. The receptionist was very nice in person and over the phone. They were able to schedule an appointment quickly. The stylist, Sarah, took what my daughter wanted and gave great recommendations. Good cut and color for a reasonable price (although, I may have been overcharged for one of the services, so you might want to double-check prices when making your appointment). Will definitely go back again. read more

Heather Soucier is the only stylist I ever use now. She is the best I have ever had. She works really good with long curly hair. She can cut, curl and color my hair just the way I want, and I don't even understand really what she is doing! I could never express to other stylists what I want, but she is just a wizard with curly hair! I wish she could do my hair every morning before work for me lol! read more

Second time to attempt to go to hair today I called on Wednesday the 22nd spoke with a Betsy she said that she was able to squeeze me in for a Balayage I clearly explained that I my hair was dark at the top nothing was needed to be done just lightning at the ends and she said it was fine she scheduled me an appointment squeeze me in with a girl named Melanie I drove from Hartford on the day of my appointment on 124 2020 for my 1 p.m. appointment I arrive there Melanie takes me to the chair says okay well so you want to darken it right make everything to even I said no must have been a miscommunication she says well I don't have enough time for a cut nor blow dry but I can try and see if I can lighten it but not sure it'll come out how you want it I showed her a picture then she walks away speaks to the lady at the reservation desk it was a different woman and she comes back to me saying oh did you want to come back tomorrow and see Megan so pretty much I drove all the way from Hartford for nothing customer service is s*** communication is the worst the salon needs to get it together second time was the worst experience ever read more

Today was my first time at Hair Today and it was great! Heather cut my hair and I love how it turned out. Everyone at the salon was very kind and welcoming and the salon is very nice and clean. Heather was super friendly and asked a lot of questions about how I wanted my hair cut and styled, and it turned out perfect. I will definitely be back in the future and strongly recommend Hair Today. read more

Everyone was very friendly and sanitary! I got my eyebrows waxed and my hair cut, and it was a good experience overall!

I have been to Hair Today twice and have had the best experience with Mandy. Both times she's done a fantastic job with my hair! My cut and style has been consistent and a wonderful experience. I look forward to returning! read more

Going to the salon should be like going to see friends , and Hair Today clearly exemplifies that. The staff are positive people and were super friendly with me. At the low price given I paid, I felt like the high value and expertise I recieved was almost a mismatch. It is an open layout and nice light and staff who are clearly engaged and passionate about their craft read more

The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and complimented not only my new color but the stylist who clearly enjoys her work. The owner came over and thanked me for coming and was very friendly as well. It was a great experience. The price was slightly higher than I had thought it might be but being new CT that could be normal. I have already had multiple compliments and the end result makes me feel like I look better...so it was worth it! Thanks Gina and the staff at Hair Today! read more

I am a newer client to Hair Today but after getting to know Mike and Jane I was not nervous to sit in a new chair. When I met Holly she made me feel comfortable but I loved her honestly as I was ready for something new. I actually love walking into the salon as it's very inviting and everyone is so happy! I love going to Hair Today and it's true I feel "sexy" when I leave the salon and call my husband to take me on a date night! I have even taken my granddaughter there twice and she loves going to the salon and she always gets a pink hair extension and feels like a princess which makes me feel great too. Thanks for being so wonderful. read more

What a great hair salon!! As a single mother to 5 children, my family hair needs are all met. I enjoy the style that is simple to maintain. My college sophomore and my middle school boys like having their own say in how their hair is cut. My twin girls enjoy being pampered and say they will never go to another salon. My little guy just does what his big brothers do. Always easy to get an appointment, sometimes same day. Enough talented stylists that all six of us could get our hair cut and styled at the same time. All at a reasonable price for the family and in a place that makes us look good and feel good. read more

Cant say enough great things about Holly! desperate for a hairdresser that can bring my hair back to life and make me feel confident again. Made an appt Monday morning for that same afternoon. It can be really devastating to lose your hairstylist, but I was lucky that Hair Today came into my life when my previous stylist was moving away. You can feel the great energy when you walk into the place. Everyone is so polite and happy to see you like you're a member of their family, and who doesn't want to be greeted like that? I had my hair cut by Mandy. She did an awesome job and was very sweet and great to talk to! It's been about a month and my hair has grown out nicely and still looks amazing. Highly recommend! read more
