Yelp policy is to give at least one star before you leave a review but personally the way this company treats people deserve minus no stars . I have never been so disrespected and insulted by this company that used my property for a gain of my lost. Early June 2020 I received a knock on my door from my back yard neighbor who I've never met Mr. Gilbert informed me that he is finally having the tree that caused my wife and I thousands of dollars over the years in repairs Mr. Gilbert told me that the company he hired ( CutMyTreeDown) will need excess to my backyard cause 95% of his tree hangs over my properly line and that if they do any damage I will need to get in contact with their insurance company.there's no way I'm letting them in my backyard.Next some big guy came to my back door and asked if they could use my yard to get to the tree of my neighbors and that I reminded them my the request is denied, and before I could close the door this guy said well if you sign this blank piece of paper that their not responsible for any damage cause while they are here. Well of course I didn't sign the paper Another knock at my back door this time is was a guy named Mike the supervisor asking that they need access to my backyard so they can do the job safe and accurate which I told Mike my answer is NO ! as to which Mike said I am the supervisor and I'm here to let you know we are insured for any damages to your property guaranteed if you just sign this paper. Which I told him if you can guarantee you will not do any damage then I will allow you to have access to the trees from my backyard but I am not signing any paper. the guy that actually climb the trees to cut the branches.he was also upset because he kept repeating that his boss is going to kill him because he under bid this job. From what I can remember it was a $15,000 job but he asked to do the job for $9,000. Ok two weeks later the job is completed and I told Mike the supervisor did he noticed all the cracks in my driveway that you guys did ? He said yea he'll take care of it Well as you can tell Mike and his crew left and never returned. After many phone calls and voicemails left Mike never called back or even tried to contact me. Every time I would called The receptionist well just switch me to his voicemail at this time I'm getting frustrated many months later I demanded to talk to the owner which they switch me to another person and all I got was his voicemail I now wanted to talk to the owner which I got a lady named Heather and she said she will take care of the problem. many months has past without any call backs . One year later I finally got a hold of the insurance guy Chuck McDonald. We talked for a couple of weeks on how to take care of this problem if I just be patient a little while longer.he insured me that he can help me. evidently he got in contact with the owner of cut my tree down for which I later found out his employees was trying to hide my damage driveway from him. I've never met Wayne I never talk to Wayne but I did tell Chuck McDonald that I'm tired of being disrespected and that Heather who said mike no longer works there. So Chuck McDonald scheduled a cement contractor to come out and look over the damage that was left. now I told him my driveway did have damage which was noted in the pictures that I sent. As promise Chuck showed up with a contractor and someone else from cut my tree down they looked over my driveway and gave a price of $7600 which the contractor said he can't fix the damage unless he do the whole driveway cause they can't guarantee their work which I told him just fix the damage that cut my tree down did cause I'm not paying for what they are responsible for. About two weeks later I text Mr. McDonald wondering what's going on because I have not heard anything he said he will call Wayne to reminded him. about another two weeks I received a letter in the mail from Wayne stating that they will give me $1500 and I have 4 days to except their offer. Well I took this as a slap in the face so I called their Insurance company again stating that that is not acceptable trying to give me $1500 for a $7600 damage and at this time Mr. McDonald apologized and said he does not know what to say but there was nothing that he can do for me,they're Insurance policy will not pay Now my wife and I are in the process of going to small claims to see if we could recover our losses from this year long nightmare. read more

(if I could leave a zero-star review, I would, but it won't let me leave a review without at least one star) Do not hire this company. I hired them to trim an evergreen tree that was growing into some wires and over my garage roof. There were a few dead branches under the tree where there was no green anymore, but the rest of the tree was green and vibrant. The key word being "trim." I filled out an online form specifying what I needed done. They sent an estimator out. Gave me a quote. All fine. When they showed up for the job, the guy in charge came to the door to clarify what I wanted done. I explained about the wires and he said they can't trim around the wires. So they can't do what I hired them to do. I almost stopped the job right there. If I could go back in time I would. But he explained that the city would have to do the wire part. He could trim to get it off the garage and get the dead branches off though. I told the guy "I care about this tree..." He didn't even let me finish my sentence and said "I'm not going to butcher it." Those words will haunt me. Satisfied that they understood what I wanted, I decided to let them go ahead and do the trimming. I'd deal with the city later if it started to cause a real problem with the wires. I had to get to work so I left them to it. I will never understand what happened. They completely hacked my tree. Cut almost all the branches completely to the trunk. The only part they left was the part at the top that is entwined with the wires... the part he told me the city would "top" if they came to deal with the wires. I am so upset about this. Angry and sad, although neither of these words describe the feeling. Maybe you think me silly for being this upset. But I cared about this tree. It's not just about how ridiculous it looks. I fed the wildlife out of this tree. It provided a lot of shade, privacy for the backyard, and protection for predators for the birds and squirrels. I would sit in the yard with my dog and watch the birds fly in an out of the tree to and from the feeders. Now my backyard experience is completely ruined. I'm going to be upset every time I look at what's left of my tree. Branches cut like this don't grow back. It's not ever going to come back. And if the city decides it needs to be dealt with because of the wires, there will be nothing left but a trunk. Maybe they are competent in cutting down trees. Maybe I should have known by the name of the company that this wasn't the right company for my job. But their website assured me they were "tree experts" and "tree trimming" is one of their services. There really is nothing they can do to make this right. In fact, they offered two options - refund my money (duh!) or cut the tree down. Apparently they didn't understand me when I said I care about this tree? And there is no way they are ever setting foot inside my property again. But maybe by writing this review I can prevent someone else from having their tree completely hacked. Do not hire this company if you care about your tree. read more

My experience with (Cut my tree). I received an email telling me what day & time they would be out. ( Monday) ok that day come & no one shows up or call me. So after waiting for over a hour I called the office & she Angela tell me oh I have you down for Tuesday but I told her that her email said Monday. She said it must have got switch when she was moving things around. Ok so Tuesday come & they show up only to find out they need an Electrician so again they have to reschedule me till the next day. Ok next day come their out back doing their thing then my wife notice the cable was out & the internet. So she ask them did they unhook the cable & they said the cable snap & broke & they also knocked out my Neighbors power. They also damaged my roof. So after all of that the finish the job only to leave a big pile of stomps in my front yard. Mined you their suppose to take all Debris,lems,& stomps with them. It has been two days & I still have a pile of stomps in my front. Needless to say I would not refer them to my worst enemy. read more

We used this company a few years back to remove about 30 trees off our property. The crew was nothing but professional during this time. They cleaned up very well and didn't leave a mess. The job was very big and they were there for 4 days. We had huge maple trees and alot of pine trees removed and stumped. Recently we did a project at our home and during this project we discovered that when stumping one of the huge maples along side of the house the stump was still there. Nobody would have ever known unless you dug down 2 feet below the grade. We contacted Cut My Tree Down to explain what was going on. We spoke with Mike at the company and explained that the stump was further down in the ground. He understood and went back and confirmed with us that it should have been taken care of. Mike assured us that it would be taken care of at no charge since we had a really big job prior to this. That day Cut My Tree Down sent out an employee and finished the job, not delaying our project. Mike explained why the stump was still there and really nobody would have ever known unless you had to dig down 2 feet through ground cover and plants. I would suggest looking elsewhere if your looking for a professional company. They were hired to remove a large tree at my brother's house and the crew advised me it would be completed in one day, it took a week for them to complete. I was given multiple excuses by multiple people as to why it was not done, I would appreciate the truth not bs. When the crew started the job they appeared to know what they were doing however things quickly went downhill. When they realized they were running behind schedule they started taking shortcuts and making mistakes, first taking out a portion of our neighbors fence and then dropping a huge limb on same neighbors garage roof and damaging it. The crew climbed onto neighbors garage several times through out the day instead of using ropes to lower limbs to the ground. The crew showed up with up to date equipment so I thought to myself you do get what you pay for....NOT in this case, we paid $3200 for a crew of 2 unprofessional tree cutters plus 3 others to clean up. read more
