I was then told the service had actually been completed a month earlier and my card was charged. When I raised concerns, the company relied on GPS records showing a truck at my property but could not provide photos from my property, despite telling me that photos are normally taken. What disappointed me most was the way the issue was handled. At no point did anyone offer to come to the property, walk the lawn with me, inspect the results, or independently verify my concerns. Instead, I was left with a charged credit card and no confidence that I received the service I paid for. Most importantly, there was never any visible evidence that the aeration and overseeding had occurred, and there still isn't. More than a month later, the lawn shows no meaningful signs of new grass growth, improvement, or change. Whether the work was not performed or was performed so poorly that it produced no observable result, the outcome was the same from my perspective: I paid for a service and saw no evidence that it benefited my lawn. The office staff was polite throughout the process, but based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

When…read morewe initially spoke we did a full walk through of what we needed to happen, to include cleaning up the front yard with sod and seed, grading it, removing shrubs, ivy, and a dead tree stump. About a day later he sent a quote which did not include everything we discussed. I chocked it up to him being extremely busy. He sent over a new quote that included the additional items he forgot about. We got on their schedule and when they came by they worked very hard late into the evenings. Unfortunately both mornings when they showed up to work is was very early (7:15am and 6:30am respectively)..in both instances neighbors complained to us about the noise and heavy machinery/leaf blowers that early in the morning. Once all of the work was "done", Nick did not follow up to do a walk through of the job site to verify everything was completed, he merely sent an automated invoice. I sent him a note back highlighting items that were not completed fully, or not at all. Even though they were listed in the original quote sent to me and discussed with Nick on multiple occasions, to include the day the work started, Nick insisted everything had been completed. His reply is probably what was more upsetting and unprofessional than the work itself. He was rude, passive aggressive, and not interested in ensuring a quality job was done. The ivy was removed, but the roots remained. His excuse was that the quote did not include "moving dirt" to remove the ivy. Anyone that has ever tried to remove ivy knows if the roots stay, the ivy stays. Nick stated I would have had to pay extra to remove roots, even though many of the over 20 roots visible above ground were 1/4" thick and at least a foot long. They also used heavy machinery to grade the yard. The areas where the tractor was located have now been destroyed and need grading and sod themselves. Nick was not interested in fixing this either -- he blamed it on the area being saturated by rain. I have other complaints with Nick and the work, but none of them were directly discussed with him as they are mostly minor. As such, I don't think it's fair to him to bring it up here. I have since severed ties with his company and cannot in good faith recommend Nick or his services to anyone. I truly wish I did not have to write this review, but believe it is in the best interest of potential customers to know the risks associated with using this company for their own homes.

We scheduled our appointment via their website and had a quick home consultation where we told him what we would ideally like done. I did a bit of quick math on the mulch and sent me a text shortly after with the rate for the labor and the materials. I found it to be incredibly reasonable so we decided to move forward with the job. They are booked pretty heavily so it took a couple of weeks for our appointment but they showed up and worked efficiently to finish the job neatly and thoroughly. Our garden looks amazing and they did a great job pulling all those pesky weeds in our rock beds that had been causing me grief (and back pain!) over the spring and summer. I'm so happy with how it all looks. I can't stop marveling at our very cute yard now! And my plants seem way happier now that we've got the mulch around them as well. As such, I didn't get to tending to my garden or yard in the same way I had in previous years. After the first few spring rains the weeds just exploded. I looked at them, totally exhausted, and decided I'd hire someone while I was on vacation the week after to get my bed cleaned up and ready for me to plant in when I returned. I did "request a quote" and within minutes, Deb was calling me to schedule a visit to give me an estimate. She stopped over a few days later, we walked through what I needed to have done (this includes cleaning up a decomposing stump from a dead tree removed by DTW several weeks before) and assured me that it would be taken care of. Two young gentleman showed up the day we were heading out of town so I was able to survey their work. They worked quickly and between the two of them, cleaned up the front and back yard gardens in 3 hours (my entire front yard is a garden so this was a lot of ground to cover) as well as a side garden by our garage. Everything was clean and, aside from a few small weeds that popped up in the days I was gone, heading in and planting a week later was a breeze. I like working in the garden so I didn't hire them for regular maintenance or planting (although it WAS tempting) but they do offer that if you want to keep things tidy and don't have the time or physical ability to do it yourself. But for early or late season clean up, or during busy times, I could definitely see myself calling upon their services again.

The meeting simply involved me providing a history of my annual arborist services and an itemized list of desired treatment. PPM charged a "consultation fee" simply to received a list of desired services with the promise it would be applied to the future services. There was zero value provided, but fine. And that was the last I ever heard from Bryan or anyone else at PPM. Bryan promised when we met in June he'd provide a treatment plan based on my list the next week. He's never followed up, has never replied to a single email or call, and couldn't even be bothered to give the courtesy of noting he was no longer interested. Bryan has great arborist credentials, but his business is either unethical or incompetent, and I do not recommend PPM Tree for any arborist services.
