Not Reliable..... They came out to give me an estimate on the replacement of the top of my back paver porch. The guy who came out was courteous and I looked forward to getting an estimate so that I could move forward with my project. One week went by....no calls. Two weeks went by....no calls. So, I called and spoke with a female who said that she would get ahold of the estimator and get back with me. Another week went by....no calls. So, I called again and left a message with someone who appeared to be taking calls during the lunch hour. He said he would give them the message and they would call back. Another week....no calls. I guess if they didn't think the job was profitable enough, maybe they should have at least had the courtesy to let me know so I could get another estimate. Now weeks have passed by and I have to start all over again with new estimates. They were not reliable at all when it came to returning my calls and I never even got an estimate for the work. I am a businessman too. Good luck running a business that way. You'll be out of business once word gets around. read more

Reliable Landscaping just completed our job, it turned out better than I could have imagined. Our backyard was a mess with destroyed deck and brick patio, over 30 years old. Both back and front was overgrown. We originally were only doing the back yard and replacing the deck and pavers with a stone patio, then asked if we could add a sidewalk from the driveway to the back yard - no problem. I then asked Jim if we could get on the list to be first next spring to get the front done, he said since they we're already here with equipment they could do it now. After some additional thought I asked for in ground sprinklers, again - no problem. Also changed landscaping plan to add a row of trees. This company is awesome, everyone is so nice and their work is excellent. We're enjoying our new backyard everyday read more

Reliable completed a rather extensive update of our landscaping. Front yard, backyard, patio, water downspout rerouting, bushes, trees, beds, lighting. They did an EXCELLENT job and completed all the work in 3 days (quicker than we expected). Some modifications to the landscape plan were needed "on site" and Matt handled these with no issues. They left the property, sidewalks and driveway clean. We are VERY pleased with Reliable and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Bad customer service and rude. I needed a quote for topsoil delivery and have it spread in the low spots in the yard. They quoted me for a bigger job for $4000 more. I told them it was more than I wanted and asked for a new quote. They told me they would only do the work they quoted and to call back when I wanted it done. I asked for a new quote with what I wanted done and they wouldn't respond. I guess my job is too small for them. read more

Fantastic service from the initial meeting until the close of the project. Jim worked with us to keep us sliding on his schedule when our remodel was delayed, and as soon as we were ready he was able to start the job within a couple weeks. He and his crew were on site 6 days a week, often for 10+ hours, for the duration of the job. What a disappointment Barry was our consultant 5 yrs ago, and we were so pleased with him, because he saw our vision and gave us a quote that we could work with and come to a mutual price for the work that needed to be done. This time around it wasn't the case. I am not only shocked but appalled at the quote we got from him for the work, to be fair I will post a quote for you all to determine if my reaction is legitimate. Brick for pavement $15 each? What are they made out of gold? They r $0.65 at any home store. Emerald green arborvitae $160? Really? The ones I want are $20. Holy removal $650? Last year we took out a dead tree for $350....seriously I am amazed at these sales rep thinking customers are stupid lets take advantage of them. Even if you add labor to all these you are expecting to make 250% for yourself? Its sad how they have become money hungry. read more

Highly recommended Landscaping company. The crew was quick, precise polite and professional. The owner was cheerful, knowledgeable, and informative. The owner followed up when the job was complete for a walkthrough. I pointed out some things that I wasn't sure I liked, and he had the crew out the next day, no questions, no problems, just to make sure that everything was absolutely perfect, and to my liking. I had my property graded to allow water to flow away from the house, and plumbing buried in the yard that runs from my gutter downspouts out to the end of the driveway. I also had them roto-till the yard, mix in soil condition and grade the lot in preparation for me to put down grass sod myself. I also had a small concrete slab installed and some nice rocks put in the backyard where there is not enough sunlight for grass. They did a fantastic job. read more

They got my money and did not seem to be interested in anything else. The estimated schedule slipped from possible early summer to possible early fall. After confronting them, they just replied by saying they have refunded the down payment. That was three weeks ago. Have not received a refund yet. read more

This company was amazing work work with. They fixed our front and our back yard (repair needed due to roots and flooding) and did a phenomenal job. We expected them to take several days to complete the work but their crew arrived early and were finished in less than a day. I asked for an estimate on rebuilding a retaining wall around a 30 year old Maple. This was the response I received: "Unfortunately, at this time, due to our current back-log in reference to landscape installation, we are unable to take on smaller landscaping projects. Thank you for your time and consideration. Regards," I guess my job isn't big enough, not even to take a look at. No big deal, no time wasted. Reliable provides the landscaping/lawnmowing services for my apartment complex in Canton, Michigan. I understand that they have a job to do, but their employees have total and complete disregard for the cars belonging to the residents. Every Thursday I wake up to find that my car has been covered in grass clippings, dirt, dust, and leaves due to the lawnmower. I enjoy keeping my car clean but it is nearly impossible due to the landscaping employees. What's worse, after they are through cutting the grass, they sweep through the parking lots with leaf blowers, throwing additional dirt and dust on the cars, not to mention the rocks and pebbles that have contributed to numerous chips and blemishes on my car. As I said before, I understand that they have a job that they were paid to do, but taking care around residents cars should be a priority as well read more

Reliable did some work for me in May 2011 - brick paver repairs and landscaping. When the work at my home was initially completed, I was very happy. The team seemed very professional, completed the job in a timely manner, and the work was beautiful. A few days after the work was done, I noticed that some of the pavers that had been reset were still loose. When I called to request that they come back out to repair them, I was told they would be out within about a week. Two weeks later I called again. I was told the team had gone out of town for a job, and someone should be out within about a week. Again, weeks went by and no contact. I called again and was told the work was still under warranty, and someone would be reminded to come out and make the repair - this time with no estimate of when I might expect them. By mid-August, still nothing had happened. I had tried to be patient and understanding since I'm sure summer is the busy season and this is a small repair job. However, I sincerely regret paying my bill in a timely manner. Perhaps if I had withheld payment and called like a raving maniac until the repairs were made, I would not have to continue wasting my time requesting and reminding that the work needed to be done. After I sent an angry email I was told "XX will send a technician to address the issue today. We sincerely apologize for the delay. Normally repairs and warranty work are taken care of when the season slows down and when we are in the area. Due to the large volume of business this season, we have been blessed to be busy all summer. We will, however, take care of this issue." Which was annoying because a) this contradicts the "someone will be out this week" message they had been giving me all summer long and b) someone did not come by and I had to contact them yet again. Within a day someone did come out and sloppily put some kind of ugly adhesive that looks like peanut butter all over my gray pavers. It was one of the worst consumer experiences I have ever had. read more

We had a large block patio with a sitting wall installed last fall of 2015 and it is over-the-top gorgeous! I found the company very professional from the landscape architect to the front office people. Today I had 3 older diseased trees removed along the streetside and replaced with new ones. Again, they did a great job and cleaned up all of the debris. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company! read more

Very bad service. I asked for a lot to be mowed and gave a very detailed description and as an insurance to making no mistakes, I ask them to call me and I would meet them at the site to point at the lot that needed to be cut. 1. They mowed the wrong lot. 2. They did not call me to meet them there. 3. They did not follow the description I gave them to the correct lot. 4. The description was a 1/2 acre lot and they mowed a large field. 5. They are now demanding that I pay for the field they mowed or they will not do the cutting I requested. Do yourself a favor and do not use them. read more

Don't waste your time or your money! They came out for an initial consultation and while he was very nice, he spoke to me for about 15 minutes and did a lot of "If this was my house I'd do this" even after I told him I wasn't keen on some of his ideas. But he was nice and seemed to get most of what I was after. The quote came in and was a great price, but missing half of the items we had spoken about. I also noticed that he included a tree which I had said I wasn't interested in. When I replied asking for some more information and a quote that included the items we discussed but were not included I received no answer. Instead I was then directed to a woman in the office who was very nice. I was told that if I wanted to reserve my spot for early August I had to put down a deposit now. Ok, makes sense. I had asked if the landscaper was ever going to address my questions and was told he was on a big job out of the office. I was told if I wanted to have a rough sketch of what he was thinking I had to put down the deposit. I stupidly agreed because they were so nice on the phone and seemed like they lived up to their name Reliable. I was never given an exact amount for the drawing fee. About a week later I was given a drawing that included not 1 but 2 trees after I had said I didn't want any. Although one of the office ladies checked in to make sure I got the drawing any other concern or question I had was never addressed and I often had to email them several times before I got an answer. A month later I emailed to find out about the updated quote that I had asked about almost 2 months prior and was told the landscaper was still out on a job. I also asked about an install time frame and was then told I was looking at sometime in September. I understand these things happen but was never kept in the loop about my time frame change and never heard from the landscaper again. I was told I would be refunded my money via the card I used and that I would get a receipt. After 2 more emails I was finally told a check was in the mail and that I was only getting $200 back. I am now out $300 of my hard earned money. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more
