I have taken my kids to cut loose since 2013. and I will NEVER go back. In Aug 2023, my son, who is 15, asked me if he could ride his bike over to cut loose to get his hair cut since we live very close and I was at work. I offered to take him that weekend, but he wanted to ride over that day. I called and made him an apt and made sure he had enough cash. My son let me know that while getting his hair cut, the person doing his hair was speaking negatively about me. She said I was a bad mom for making my son ride his bike to get his hair cut by himself. ( Again, he asked me if he could. I offered to take him over the weekend ) . My child did not tell me what was said until we were driving to get his and his brothers hair cut in September. I thought that was weird and rude but was like ok weve been going here for years what ever. Durring my younger sons haircut, I stepped outside to take a call, so i wasn't rude and loud in their small space. When I went outside it was raining so i was under the awning talking infront of their shop. My kids let me know that once again, the girls started talking about me. One random employee said i was "looking at her" when she threw her gum away. Another said I was annoying and a bad mom for stepping outside to take a call. I was blown away considering all these girls have maybe worked there 6 months. I've literally taken my kids for 10 yrs. They've had a lot of ppl quit after a month or two in the last 3-4 years. I dont need a 21 yr old little girl starting drama. The whole thing is ridiculous, and my solution is to stop giving them my money. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK! read more

I've been here two times now and both times were amazing. The price of a haircut (6 inches is how much I got) and just a wash and blow dry was 30 dollars versus other places I've been to that were 50 plus (such as Walmart's SmartStyle). Both times I've had incredibly wonderful service and the most upbeat and pleasant stylists. All of the employees are very nice and welcoming. I love coming here! Not sure what the previous reviewer was ranting about. We have been there several times and it is not trashy, not racist, and it DOES provide a good cut for an excellent price. Jessica, Bella, and the others have been polite and professional. It is hard to find a good barber\stylist that you are happy with, when you move into a new area. A friend got a job and started last week. I really needed my hair taken care of and I wanted to give her a shot! Nicolette did a very good job and I gave her some creative license to. She did something a little outside my norm but I've found myself very pleased with her work!! I think I'll likely become a regular and I may even let her try some new stuff. Cut Loose and cut your loses at this trash can business. I'm confused how this place has almost 5 stars because of the highly unprofessional women that work here. We had a family member SCHEDULE a haircut and THREE women couldn't get his haircut even though two didn't even have a customer. Apparently, race is a big deal at this establishment... so if your Hispanic this is the place for you to be treated like high class. And, if your Caucasian then expect to be put on the back burner or just not helped at all. This racial opinion is based on ACTUAL conversation that was taking place between the three women that were working. One, stating she wishes she was of another decent besides Caucasian. I then called to place a complaint but there isn't a Manager working most of the time according to one of the women. And, I then received the same poor treatment and was told to "now, hold on Lady!" So, maybe all the good reviews are from customers that get special treatment outside of the chair because this is a pretty cut to chase establishment and just down right trashy. read more

I arrived on time for my appointment, but didn't get called back to get my hair cut until 30 minutes after my scheduled time. I just needed my sides buzzed, which is hard to mess up. My only complaint about the cut is the stylist gave me a collar cut on my neckline when I asked for her to just make sure my hairline was clean. Maybe this is my fault and I just don't know how to correctly ask for what I want. read more

I have been working on growing my hair out for 5 years and have worked on getting it to the length it Was. I went in for a clean up of my ends (3 inches). I left with a nasty mullet cut. How does a trim turn into chopping off all of someone's hair. So disappointed with the services I received and would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have been going to Cut Loose for 3+ years. I love Jess the owner. She has been great for coloring and cutting my hair. My daughters also enjoy going to this salon. Their prices are very reasonable, and it feels more personal and neighborly going here than just going into a super cuts, etc. They can get busy though, especially on Saturdays. This can cause a wait, as other reviewers have said. I always call ahead of time or go online, to make an appointment, and try to avoid going on Saturdays. My husband had an appointment of 1PM (appointmentmade earlysame day). We arrived early and let the team know we were there but would be going across the way and be back before the appointment. The person in the first chair said okay see you then. We came back 20 mins. later and only after we took off our coats and sat down were told they were running about 3 hrs. behind. There were a number of reasons they were behind; one girl was sick, one with family death and just short handed in general. What upsets me was why the heck weren't we told this when we first arrived? Why did she wait until we came back? In my opinion if the owner already knows she is short handed then 1) dont take walk ins 2) make sure to get a phone from people who make same day appointments so a phone call can be made about an issue or make a change to the appointment and 3) let people know as soon has they walk in about the situation. I would not recommend this place based on this issue. Also I heard from someone who went there about a week ago pretty much the same thing happened to them. Jessica is a SAINT. She's a miracle worker with cuts and colors. I've done everything with her from drastic long cuts to bobs, from natural highlights to drastic vibrant red hair, and everything in between. She's never failed to deliver! Went in with appointment made 2 days in advance. Did horrible job on highlights. Extremely brass colored. Didn't leave color stripper in long enough. Had to wait 1/2 to get seen. Went in second time to have fixed and more brass. Run you in and out like cattle. Wanted me to by expensive shampoo to fix the brass problem. Second girl denied there was brass color in hair until one of the other women made a comment about it. If you want to be treated like a cow and have a brass head, this is your place. I'd never felt like I'd had a bad hair cut before but after going to cut loose I feel like this is the worst hair cut I've ever had. I'll be honest it's not terrible it's fine but I don't feel like a got what I wanted. I thought I could trust the opinion of the girl cutting my hair and she cut it how she thought would look good but I really don't like it. Not to mention I asked her to cut it fairly short and it was still a mid length. It was the end of the day and I was the last customer (I can't go anything other time because I work full time) I felt like she had checked out and was uninterested and in a hurry to get off work. Terrible customer service!! Had an appointment and three people were working. No one even acknowledged me when I entered the store and I waited 20 mins past my appointment time and still no acknowledgement that I was even sitting there. I got up and left and went to Supercuts and it was a totally different experience. I've been going to Cut Loose for over two years and i will never go back. I might add, this was my 4th attempt at trying to get a haircut there in the past two weeks! If you are going to open at 9 am and you know that you have an hour long appointment, then there should probably be a second person working to take walk-ins. read more
