Wonderful food and great service. We truly enjoy the beautiful ambiance. We have been going to Cut 38 for many years and they have been super consistent with the level of excellence. read more

The owner is, without question, the most rude and unprofessional individual I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. The way he speaks to his hardworking employees is appalling, and his treatment of customers is equally unacceptable. He creates an uncomfortable and disrespectful atmosphere that overshadows the efforts of an otherwise outstanding team. I am genuinely surprised this restaurant is in business under such leadership, and I question how long it can sustain itself this way. While the servers, bartenders, and staff are excellent, I will not be returning and I sincerely hope they find opportunities elsewhere where they are treated with the respect and appreciation they deserve. read more

We were a party of 10 today for lunch. The manager said he couldn't accommodate us so we said we would split into 2 tables. There were currently 2 people at tables at that time 12:30. He was so rude and told us to leave and go across to Baires Grill which was absolutely amazing. I have never been refused a table and been treated so rudely. Will never go back again read more

Very disappointed. Good atmosphere. Great patio and open bar. At 6 PM we wanted to get an early dinner with a well behaved 9 month old. We were turned away at the door. Apparently it is a trend because I saw 3 other families next door at Baires Grill which welcomed us with open arms. read more

Cut 38 - Exterior and Patio - Steakhouses Near Me - Sunny Isles Beach, Florida

This place has the best happy hour from 1-3pm. Tonya, one of the bartenders, is super passionate and helpful with customized drinks and menu suggestions. During one week, we went 4 times. Suggest the ahi tuna salad with kale and my husband loved their burger. The burger by the way, is half off their dinner price, at $10! Big hit!!! read more

I had some friends visiting town and they return to Cut 38 with every visit! So of course that was where they took me for dinner. I'll get my biggest complaint out of the way early (because this is a mostly positive review). At an upscale steakhouse in a suburb of Miami with a "full" bar, they had only ONE white rum option (Bacardi) and ONE dark rum option (Myers). It would be one thing if we were at a winery or a tap house or someplace that specialized in alcohol that wasn't liquor. But instead they had dozens and dozens of bottles of liquor, just apparently no interest in rum. I ordered a margarita instead. OTHER than all that jazz, I had a good experience! We started with a bread basket and the thick cut bacon. I ordered the BBQ ribs and a side Caesar salad. The thick cut bacon is my friend's favorite, and I can see why. Delicious! The ribs were literally fall-off-the-bone, and the BBQ sauce was well-balanced. The Caesar salad had one single crouton, which was honesty humorous in its audacity! We finished our meal with the key lime pie, which was more than enough for the three of us to share, and was tart and satisfying! Overall, I thought my experience was largely positive, though I do hope they invest in another rum option or two (or three or four? Coconut rum, spiced rum, a white option that isn't well grade?). read more

WARNING! Look out for the false advertising with menus with completely false prices. All of the posted scans and photos of menus show prices that are HALF what they actually charge. The manager and staff were rude and unrepentant, blaming me for their false advertising. The food itself was honestly meh. Certainly not worth double these prices read more

Definitely not worth the $275 we paid for our meals. % over rated. The steak was good but not great. The salad my wife eat was blah. The beer was the highlight of the evening and our waiter who was pretty good. He gets a 5 Star+. They served us our meal with just a knife to cut the meat. We had to ask for Utensils twice. If I had to do it all over again, we probably would have went next door to the Argentina Steak House. read more

I had what can only be described as a frustrating and disappointing experience at this restaurant. A few weeks ago, I arrived wearing a simple short-sleeve shirt, only to be told by the staff that I couldn't enter--even if I wanted to sit outside. I was shocked, as other patrons, including women, were wearing similar casual attire without any issue. When I politely asked about this discrepancy, the owner's explanation was that men and women are held to different dress code standards. Not only did I feel singled out and discriminated against, but the owner's attitude was rude and dismissive, leaving me feeling humiliated in front of other customers. It was an experience that made me question the fairness and professionalism of the establishment. I will never come back and will never recommend this place to anybody because he discriminate man by sex, we live in the United States. They cannot do this thing it's against law and constitution of US. read more

Was hesitant to dine at Cut 38 based on the mixed reviews. A lot of the reviews reflected poor service. I dined on a Sunday early evening during the summer. It was slow and I grabbed a spot at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and attentive to my friends and me. Cocktails were on point. I started with a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and ended with a Tito's espresso martini. 5 stars for the bartender and her service. What was average was the food. The bourbon onion rings were fantastic....extra large, crispy, cooked golden brown. A savory dip came with it and the bartender also brought a sweet dip. The Thai steak noodle salad lacked flavor, noodles, streak and mangos. It was mostly lettuce that needed more dressing. It was average at best. Houston's still has the best Thai steak noodle salad. I will go again for the onion rings and drinks. read more

This place is the ABSOLUTE BEST place for relaxing and having a drink!! Tonya is a MASTER with all cocktails! The owner, Dave, works within the facility and is ALWAYS checking on the customers' satisfaction of all food and drink consumed! Let's start off with the food... always fresh, delicious & cooked to perfection. The burger is insanely big & tasty. Fries are always crispy. Cole slaw is fresh & crunchy-- nice big portion also. The Thai steak noodles are also very tasty, fresh & a nice light option. The spinach dip is one of my absolute favorites. Love the complimentary side of sour cream & salsa. The Clam chowder is thick and creamy. The drinks are the best in town! Flavorful & strong !!! The service is top notch. Love seating at the bar, the waitress is great!! Friendly, attentive and polite. The outside/ inside vibe is what I love most. Totally recommend this place! Can't wait to go for dinner one evening. Sorry have no pictures of the food read more

There were two available tables on the outside one by the door, where waiters were going in and out with the food and duty dishes and another one by the wall. Both tables had four chairs we were three and we were refused the table by the wall. The owner, or whoever it was quite nasty but my friends did not want to look for another restaurant. After we sat down at the table we did not choose and we started to talk we could not hear each other as the speakers were blasting some repetitive motive, not really a pleasant music, that started to give me a headache. I asked for the speakers to be turn down a bit and the owner, or whoever he was, told me that we should go somewhere else as we were complaining from the beginning. My two friends, older ladies, did not want to go as they wanted to try the restaurant's lunch special. I was not impressed with the food at all. My Thai salad was wilted, noodles in Thai sauce were calf and pieces of stake were just OK. Left half of it. I will never return there and would not advise anybody to go there as the quality of food is not worth the personal abuse. read more

Rude reception. We came here for lunch to be seated outside with our legal small service dog and was refused service. The American Disabilities Act demands that public establishments allow service dogs. They should be put out of business. Happy we didn't eat here. I wouldn't want to give these people a penny of our money. The place looked dirty anyway. read more

If you want attitude from the owner come here. We are a men's lunch group of 6 to 9 men that meet weekly for lunch very often at Cut 38. Today we informed the owner that there would be 7 of us, but because only 4 of us were there at the time he set up two tables together to seat 6. 2 across from each other and 2 on the ends. In a few minutes 3 of us arrived to join the 4 seated. But because now there were 7 of us we pulled the small table beside us to create extra seating. Even though there were other empty tables available the owner came running out and started yelling at us not to touch or move his tables. We explained that we were now 7 people and possibly 8. He didn't care and said rudely he'll decide when and where to seat us. One of the guys asked him to reconsider and calm down at which point he said "I'm not serving you!" We said fine and left. We went to the restaurant next door and Argentinian Steak House with a wonderful lunch menu, great food and very good service. They just picked 7 new customers who will back for dinners as well with their wives. All I can say is it's his loss. He also needs a lesson in customer retention and service. read more

One of my few "go to" restaurants in the area. I come here often for lunch. The food is always on point and delicious. The prime rib absolutely melts in your mouth, and the burgers are the best around. I am a huge fan of the mixed vegetables. The price point for lunch is what drew me in, but the food quality keeps me coming back. For a VERY decent price, you get the main course and a side dish (the side dish is full-sized). The burger is around $10, while the prime rib was around $30 the last time I had it. these are LUNCH prices only, between 12-3, and the portions are the same as they are for dinner. I will say that a couple of times I have felt the staff to be a bit offputting when things didn't go exactly how they had planned. For instance, my friend and I ordered burgers, and when they came, they were too rare. Rather than the waiter, just taking them back to the kitchen, he decided to give a lecture on meat temperature, and the color of meat, etc. My friend and I were both in the restaurant industry and felt this was out of line for sure. I am giving this restaurant five stars still because nine out of 10 times. It is a five out of five star experience. read more

They have a great lunch special. The selection was great and at half price can't be beat. Waiters are great.

Not good . I had to ask for a water refill. I'm sitting at the bar. They're too interested getting the glasses straight then looking at the customers at the bar. I had to ask for the menu again. She tried to take the bread away twice. Took away the bread plate and did not replace it.The service is truly awful. They don't close for another three hours. There's nobody sitting around the bar except for 4 other people. read more

The food is great- fantastic- but I will never understand why after so many years the servers aren't trained to refill water, ask if the food came out okay, or bring the check in a timely manner. The general lack of communication WILL negatively affect your experience- I'm always having to ask for things twice. The kitchen is ON POINT but as someone who worked in fine dining I can't get over this being an issue every visit- the service does not match the prices and reflects on management needing to train staff the basics. read more

Walking in the neighborhood my friend and I found this place. This place opens at 12 and at 12 there was a line to get into the restaurant. By 12:45 pm it was packed! My friend and I sat at the bar to enjoy the happy hour drink prices and the 1/2 lunch deals. Daniella was our server/ bartender. She was very pleasant. Food Ordered the burger and fries. Delicious. Asked for it to be made medium well and it was! Drinks - I had about 4 glasses of Prosecco. I thoroughly enjoyed my food. Price - you can't go wrong with the price. Only $38! I'll definitely be back before my trip ends. read more

7 years later this place is still bustling with activity on a Friday night. With very popular outside bar seating and patio seating overlooking the parking lot may be the best ambiance in town it is still outside on a beautiful night in South Florida in March. We were able to secure a table outside as the Manager / Host James was very nice & we chatted about the place & their new Italian place next door H2O. Once the table was ready our server Elise took great care of us all night making recommendations on the menu, sides ETC. We were not starving so we decided to split the 16-ounce NY Strip with a Loaded Baked Potato & fresh cut fries. A generous pour on a glass of house wines were appreciated. The bread was a crusty sourdough that was truly top shelf. Butter along with Olive oil was offered. The Steak arrived timely, and it was absolutely perfect. A nice char with solid seasonings cooked to perfection. The Baked potato was good, but the fresh cut fries were the winner of the 2 sides. There was a steak sauce presented on the side, take note this steak DID NOT NEED any sauce in fact it would take away from its goodness. No coffee but we did try the homemade Lava Cake with Ice cream that really was outstanding as well. The owner Dave stopped by to make sure that everything was going well, and we promised to give his Italian place next door a try in the future. Really impressed as it was on par with price points high end places in the area but certainly delivered on all aspects. read more

We ate lunch here recently and they run a half price menu for lunch. My hamburger was great and my wife's chicken was also good they charge $5 for a small coke bottle and obviously refills $5. First time a waiter complained about tip we left 18% vs he thought he deserved 20%?!!!! That put a damper on lunch and told manager. read more

I want to start this by saying the ambience is amazing. Food is fairly good however we had a new server which wasn't the problem. I received a wrong item on the menu and while my party ate their dinner, I sat there without anything. 20 minutes later once everyone was finished with their meal mine came and rather than the manager take care of my meal, I still was charged for it. So I'm giving a one star because the manager could've done better to take care of someone when they are completely inconvenienced. read more

I had a great experience here well served by a waitress from Kazakhstan I believe her name was Adianne. Ok back to the experience... nice place centrally located, the food was great little expensive to be honest but at least I was not disappointed. I had, Scallops, Prime Rib, Burrata Salad, and Chocolate Lava Cake. To drink, old fashioned, Prosecco. Everything was very good with right cooked/tenderness, I recommend to try the Scallops during your visit ;) read more

We walked a mile from our hotel at the recommendation of our beach chair attendant. He said to go between noon and 3 pm for half price happy hour; that the burgers were good. But they are known for their steaks (which are obviously not half price). The dude nailed it! We had a burger with fresh cut fries and artichoke dip & chips. All were half price making the bill a ridiculous $22!!! We did not get drinks and split the huge burger. The appetizer came with salsa and sour cream. The chips were thin, fresh, & delicious. We are going back before our trip ends. Happy hour for sure. Because it's nice to get a price break on the beach after paying $15 for a pina colada. read more

Yelp listing said this restaurant doesn't take reservations. We walked up at about 6:30 and where told "well sort off". After checking to see if they had "walk up tables", we were told we could sit at the bar. Which we did. The food was delicious. Thick cut bacon appetizer is amazing. My wife had the scallop special and I had the jumbo prawns. All very good. By the way, two high top tables behind us were empty form the time we showed up and still empty when we left. Watched the host turn away a few couples away after us. read more

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL. This was the FIRST and LAST time I will set foot in this joke of a restaurant. From the second I sat down, the bartender gave me nothing but attitude. I wasn't even served water until I had to ask for it, and when I requested a lemon, I had to wait over 10 minutes after asking another waitress! I went for lunch with a coworker on a Thursday, and 20 minutes after I started eating my food, I needed to use my work laptop for 10 minutes. The bartender rudely informed me that I couldn't use it. I asked to be moved to a regular table, but she said I wasn't allowed to use my laptop anywhere in the restaurant--something I've NEVER heard of before. As if that wasn't enough, just as I was about to finish my lunch, the manager came over and told me I couldn't share a single bite of my food with my coworker because, apparently, "IT'S NOT ALLOWED." Seriously? At this point, I was fed up, asked for the check, and left. But the nightmare didn't end there. As I was walking out, the manager stopped me to inform me that I was banned from ever coming back--all because I shared a bite of my food and used my laptop. This place is a joke, and the staff is absolutely ridiculous. I regret not going to my usual spot, Baires across the street. read more
