Best experience I've ever had with any service provider of any kind. Our AC went out in the middle of a Charleston June on a Saturday. It was swelteringly hot, and we had a one year old in the house. We had a technician (Kenneth, who was almost impossibly pleasant and friendly) on site within an hour of calling the company, and he took great pains in making sure he recommended the right course of action. Once he diagnosed the problem he realized he did not have a replacement part on hand, so he called numerous carriers at 6:00 PM on a Saturday until he found someone who had what we needed. He then drove 15 miles through the city to get the part, verified it was good to use, and drove back, somehow making it by 7:30 (which he said he would). The price we paid was competitive and more than fair. What followed was a very involved process that went far faster than it had any right to, and we had cool air going through the house by 9:15. After that, Kenneth had two more calls to make - on a Saturday, in the blistering Charleston heat, at absolutely no price markup to the customer. He spoke about it as if it was the most normal thing in the world. I literally cannot think of anything more we could have asked of Kenneth or the company, and I cannot recommend them enough. We (especially our one year old) are exceedingly grateful to them for their hard work, professionalism, and superlative service. Call them; you won't be sorry. read more

We just bought a place in Charleston and needed AC checked and tuned up as not cooling as well as it should. My wife called and got the owner, Kenneth, who was super friendly and responsive, saying he could come by in about an hour! This was a Sunday no less!!! He even called on his way to ask if he could be 20 minutes later so he could stop for a drink and a hot dog. How courteous! Kenneth arrived and was very knowledgeable, explained everything very well, and showed us the things that needed fixing. He did a great job and price seemed very reasonable for the time he spent. I would definitely recommend him and use his company again. I thanked him for coming on Sunday and apologized for having him work on the Lords Day, and he said "I'm good. I'm new to the state and just purchased a home .I've called several contractors and have been told things that were untrue in reference to my hvac needs.I than called customer's preference and was blown away by the professionalism and honesty from the service technician that showed up to my home.from start to finish he was very polite, respectful ,and honest about all of my issues and concerns. The first a/c company I called tried to overcharge me for a repair and did not show up when they said they would. I told them not to bother coming out and called Customer's Preference. The technician that was sent out was very courteous and knew what my issue was after I explained the problem. He also came out to my home in a timely manner and I didn't have to wait all day. The cost of my repair was nearly half of what the other company was going to charge me. I'm so glad I called Customer's Preference, and they will be my go to company should need arise. I called with an emergency ac leak on Saturday morning and Kenneth was at my home in an hour to fix it. He was very courteous and explained the problem and his steps to fix it and the price. I called again Sunday morning and once again he arrived an hour later, he was able to identify the issue my neighbor was having that was causing a leak into my unit. I am so thankful Kenneth cane out twice on a weekend and there wasn't an extra weekend or emergency charge. He fixed the issue for myself and my neighbor and put my mind at ease. Nothing is worse on a hot Friday than having your AC quit. Called 5 different places 4 could not have anyone come to my house until next week. Kenneth said he was at a job but would see me in 2 hours. He was at my house in a less than 2 hours and we were cooling down in no time. It was 3:30 PM on a Monday and the AC wasn't doing it's job. That's very bad news to hear in CHS during the month of August! I called Customer's Preference and spoke with Kenneth. He was working in West Ashley and finishing up a job and asked me when he could come take a look at the HVAC problem. I told him the sooner, the better. Within about 45 minutes to an hour he was there evaluating the problem with the AC. He was prompt, courteous, accommodating and fairly priced for his services. I could not be more pleased with the excellent and professional work that Kenneth and Customer's Preference provides. They have provided yearly check ups for us and replace bad parts on the outside unit. Then we had an old air handler decide it wanted to retire. As he was working on a diagnosis, he described the issues with the AC as "a doozy," but figured out the problems and promptly fixed them.
