The last time I bought a kitchen faucet was 10 years ago, at least. It was STICKER SHOCK time! Yes, I know I could probably get a cheaper faucet at one of the Big Box stores. However, I have read and the contractors installing this stuff swear that the quality of fixtures at the BB stores is not as good. So I suck it up because I want value and I don't want to replace fixtures often. Nevertheless, i am still shocked by some of the faucet prices. I didn't think $1K+ kitchen faucets were sold locally, for example. I rethink this and decide to set a budget $300-$400, after looking at all the wonderful choices. My new faucet cost $356 with tax, curious YELPERs. There are well known common brands and some very upscale/high price not so well know brands. Most items are not stocked and have to be ordered, I am told. OK. I am in no rush. Dora, my sales person, checks the inventory and it's in stock. That's the way life works. If I needed it that day, no way would that faucet be in stock. I pay and wait briefly for Dora to fetch my new kitchen faucet. Every time I've been here the sales persons are helpful, knowledgeable and patient. If your contractor is local and doesn't have a Ferguson account I would wonder why not. One of my former contractors had me go to Ferguson to make my selections then he got them using his contractor discount. Stop in and get some of the decorator catalogues if you have a home improvement project beginning to formulate in you mind. There are so many new fangled stuff on the market. I will upload a photo of my new faucet after it's installed. I took a few store snaps but it looks like the store did a good job uploading those so I will trash all except my Wolf photo. Who knew Ferguson sold Wolf products, I think.

I would not use this business again. I thought we might have a water line leak under the slab of…read moreour ranch-style 3-bedroom house in Waldorf because of water spots on the carpet. Jeff Apperson came out and said he was on his way somewhere else but would come back out and pull up the carpet, turn off the water supply from the front yard cut-off, and wait several hours to see if it dried up to prove a source of the leak. He then asked for a deposit of half of a projected $7,00 bill in case he had to buy copper and replace the waterline. He instead planned the replacement and bought copper and never pulled up the carpet to test for the source of the leak. Two weeks later when he finally did pull up the carpet he immediately saw that source of the leak was flowing from elsewhere. After the leak was fixed and a new sink and toilet installed they then grossly inflated their bill In in order to keep all our deposit money including 10 phantom Master Plumber hours. In fact, he left an unlicensed plumber alone on the job to do the work. He owes us more than $1,000 and we are suing in small claims court to get back our money.

We met with Jeff on a couple occasions and came up with a plan. Jeff seemed great, everything we talked about he seemed to understand and there wasn't anything he didn't think he could not handle. This is where I made my "BIG MISTAKE", we did not get in in writing! I took Jeff at his word and shame on me. We don't have much recourse and don't want him in our home regardless. This review is for the next person who wants to know... I have listed several of the larger issues and included pics so all can see for themselves. Threshold and steps incorrect, not finished. Finish work, overall a joke! Painted everything in semi-gloss, didn't fix or prep the walls at all, then sent a drywall guy, "Willets" to spread mud over spots over a month ago and never returned. Laundry Center, both dryers vent into the same pipe and this causes moisture to build in the dryer and shorted it out. Pantry, no insulated properly, food gets too cold or hot, Electrical, absolutely no forethought went into this. The only plug in the entire hall/garage entrance is one in the of the pantry. Tile, there are at least 4-8 tiles that have popped, already, and several others you can hear the hollow so it's just a matter of time. Fixed to date: So far the following had to be fixed, Barn Door bathroom, completely rehung Pantry, bedroom closet and laundry area all had wood shelving installed, not the wire Jeff put in the pantry. New toilet in master bath, no wax seal was ever installed. All in all the quality of the work that was done was substandard at best. By not getting a contract I left the door wide open and he made himself comfortable at our expense. Well what comes around...
