We never discussed my budget, so why make the assumption that I may not be interested in expensive tile? We had two challenges, both of which Eric and his team overcame with speed, quality delivery, and excellent customer service. We were working on a tight timetable, so I was receiving store fixtures while construction was ongoing. Eric and his team were able to work around this without any problems. Second, my initial flooring choice became unavailable between the time I selected it and ordering. When this happened, Eric and I went down to Home Depot together and found another option that looked better, was higher quality, and cost less. I cannot recommend Eric and A&E construction enough! 100% would use again. In fact, I have some upcoming work that I need to do on my home. I bid this job to five other companies, but I'll just be reaching out to Eric directly on that one.

They were over in a few hours and spend 2.5 hours testing and plugging the leaks. It was very reasonably priced and I learned a lot about the guts of my old home in the process. The thing I remember most about that first meeting was the personalized board they had up welcoming me and my spouse (Mr. and Mrs. D) - a really nice touch, albeit slightly incorrect as I was there with my husband, and when we went back to pick out selections they had updated it to be somewhat more accurate (The D. Family). Jim, the owner, was straightforward when we spoke with him and offered a competitive price compared to the other estimates we received. After we accepted the contract, Jim's sister and the company designer, Kim, was particularly patient with us as we spent upwards of two hours picking out the various components for the new bathroom, successfully finding solutions to mediate style disagreements between me and my husband. Overall, we were both very happy with our selections and excited for the new bathroom to be complete. The workers were excellent and displayed great professionalism during the remodel. The work began in early December, but was stalled a little bit due to the cabinet and vanity not arriving in time. The bathroom was functional, though not finished, before the desired Christmas date. It has been three weeks since the job completed and we have been satisfied so far with the bathroom. With the work, there were two (both immediately fixed) problems that stood out: First, the new toilet was installed slightly at an angle. We emailed Cardigan of the problem. When they came out the next time to continue working on the bathroom, the worker immediately saw the toilet was not level, apologized that he didn't catch it when he installed it, and made the toilet level to the floor. Second, when we started using the shower a week after installation, the shower was draining extremely slowly. Again, I emailed and called regarding this issue, and they fixed it that day despite Jim attending a funeral that morning. One of the workers came by that evening with a snake and fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed at their responsiveness. Overall, I am giving five stars due to the personalization, work quality, responsiveness, professionalism of the workers, and our happiness with the final result. When we finally move on to remodeling our kitchen in a few years, we will definitely be looking at Cardigan. The attached pictures include a picture of the shower before the bathroom was painted, and a picture of the other side of the bathroom after all of the work was completed.

Terrible experience…read more Everyone wants a deal or pay wholesale and not retail. The cabinets appear to be extremely cheap. The plywood peels so easily. The cabinets arrive at your home missing in sections in the underneath part of the cabinet. They will say to you that you won't see it but it's there if you just look. They arrive with the white what-they-call skin (ask them what skin is), not attached. You're contractor has these huge boards they have to cut down to size and hope it looks alright. Why don't they just install it at their ware house? I have not had a good experience with Daisy. The Island is not finished with no finished white sides. I watched a couple of contractors come in to the story and say piece 'X' was supposed to be delivered, and Daisy would say.. "we talked about this.." that's her go-to dialogue.. I repurchased at my own expense two cabinets because they wouldn't admit that their driver scraped the bottoms of them on the truck. He's their employee and it's their truck. Why not put protective boxes on the floor of the truck? They gave me a new replace door front that was wrapped but I unwrapped it while standing in front of her and it had scrapes. So I refused to take it and asked for another one.

All showcase quality IMO. Thus, we've plenty of recent experience with KBS outfit and feel confident in making the highest recommendation. In summary - KBS is not too big nor too small, not too expensive but not cheap, so they were just right for us - average homeowners who seek the very best value. In this regard, KBS was just right. Some highlights........ 1) The crew is experienced and cohesive. They've been together for a good long time. They work well together and we never observed inefficiency. They just work hard all day long. 2) I never had to worry about workers in our home. Honest, polite, professional, kind, and responsive are words I'd use to describe them. 3) Communications were timely and valuable. My advice is to take notes of every communication for reference. In one case we forgot it was our responsibility to acquire an appliance. Uh oh, it was our fault and a written record would have been useful to refer to. Yikes! 4) The budget estimates were honored. there was no bait and switch. Prices were transparent to us. 5) We enjoyed reviewing recommended selections of cabinets, floor, hardware, appliances, sinks etc. Today, we feel somewhat knowledgeable with KBS as our tutors. 6) Cleanup and construction debris was timely. Thanks! 7) The crew was OK with our two dogs. I think our doggies missed them when the jobs were done. Final note: The sign of a great contractor is NOT that nothing goes wrong. Rather it is how the contractor responds when something does go wrong. In this regard, KBS took care of problems I was not even aware of, and when I was, they swarmed to make it right ASAP. For example, a quartz kitchen countertop cracked. Surprised. The piece was faulty. The crack was not due to poor installation. We only had to make one call to Dan who took care of it. Easy peasy. No hassles or haggles about responsibility or cost. Perfect. I've a few more impressive examples. So the more work we observed, the more confident we became in KBS. In my life "trust" is earned and hard to achieve in the contracting world. So, it is with pleasure to say KBS was trusted. We'd hire them again whenever we have a future need. Simply excellent!

His experience meant that he was able to take our vision of what we wanted our home to be and turn it into reality. The actual project itself could not have gone better. The crew was phenomenal. I've honestly lost track of how many times I've used Flatpack Assembly - I think I'm up to FOUR…read more Carlos and his team always go the extra mile with assembly and installations. I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. Not only are their prices very competitive, but Flatpack offers a flat RATE quote so that the crew stays until the job is completed. I'm very pleased to have found this amazing company.

Once you reach out to them with the specifications of your project they will quickly respond with an estimate and even pictures of similar projects they've done. I reached out on a Monday and was able to have my wall be installed on Saturday. Now that's service! Trey was/is the 'real deal'; very professional! ...worth every dollar! When he set up his tables, tools and camera to video the install I knew I was in good hands! He was helped by Khadir and another young man. They communicated well and made a great team. They arrived early (who does that? Contractors are rarely on time). He explained everything along the way, to include the parts that were missing (luckily it was only a few screws that he had in his tool box), how to work the bed, and which mattress would be the best for that bed (based on the instructions given). I am so relieved to have this project complete. I have no doubt about it being installed correctly. Great job. I'll definitely call them again if I need similar service. By the way, they also followed up with a detail list of what was missing (by part number/name) and where to find it in the manual. That made it easy for me to get replacement parts from the manufacturer. Great job Flatpack!
