Our granite was cracked in the front and back of our kitchen sink. I tried to have our granite sealed to prevent more cracking but it didn't work. We had two options to replace the entire slab of granite (that would have been very expensive and it was not an option for us) or to put in a different sink. I had a horrible situation where the previous owners installed travertine flooring too high so when our dishwasher broke, our plumber, had to saw my dishwasher in half to get it out. That also meant that we had to remove the flooring in order to get a new dishwasher in. That's where custom flooring designed by Arael came in. They did an amazing job removing the few tiles in front of the dishwasher. My plumber installed my dishwasher and then they came back the same day to reinstall the tiles. Arael and his crew have earned their place at the top of my "go to" list when it comes to repairing or replacing our countertops or flooring. My granite had developed a crack due to water getting to the plywood under it and swelling/buckling. I couldn't find anyone who worked with repairing granite, so I used a company that would patch and seal. The crack continued to get worse. Looking for a second repair, I called StoneShine (Miguel Amaro) and he was HONEST. He turned away the job to patch and seal because he did not feel he could give us a good result. Instead, he referred me to Arael for a replacement of the granite slab. Finally! A referral for someone who actually worked with granite! Who knew I needed a flooring guy to replace a portion of my countertop? Arael and his team went to great effort to get a slab of granite that would match the rest of the granite in the kitchen. His fabricators are true craftsmen and did a beautiful job replacing the old slab with a new piece that blends with the rest of the original countertop.
