I had the most incredible experience at this office. Dr. Stubbs was the most knowledgeable person in this field. I came for an eye exam and refraction and for a new pair of glasses. My eyes are difficult to refract having had lasik procedure on my right eye and a cataract extraction on my left eye. But he did it with ease and accurately at that. Hopefully when my new glasses are avail that will still be the case. I'll give a follow up review. Dr. Stubbs was accomodating, had a good sense of humor and made me feel comfortable. Not to discount the fact that he is well versed in Tagalog. Trina who assisted me into choosing my glasses was also very knowledgeable and pleasant. They made my experience here tops. Would recommend them anytime to anyone looking for a new optical shop and a good optometrist. read more

Custom Eyes - Vision - Optometrists Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

David fixed the broken frame of my sunglasses and didn't even want to charge us for the repair, such good customer service deserves recognition. Highly recommend this business. read more

My prescription for eye glasses and eye contacts has been expired since April so it was time for my eye check up for eye contacts and for eye glasses. I keep hopping around I have not found an optometrist that I can be loyal so I found this practice near home and it has consistent good reviews on yelp. So I made my appointment at June 10 for 5:20 pm. As you first walk in the first half of the place was the retail part where opticians hang out and help you with purchasing of eye contacts and eye glasses. So I had to think for a moment that I still need to walk further down the reception to check in. So the reception knew right away my name and knew right away I was a new patient. So I filled out the normal paper work and I was told i was going to see Dr. Van Tran. After filling out my paper work and I gave back the paper work to the reception. Sitting in the reception area for about 15 minutes and still observing the interaction between the Dr. and receptionist. Dr. does not say Hi or introduce herself while she is walking around the establishment. I mean she sees my face but no words at all. No other patients around me I was the only patient left. I felt like the Big Elephant in the room. ( I would think you would start building a relationship with new patients, hmmm) While she was walking around she kept it real with her platform wedge flip flops. I totally get it I am the last patient of the hour. Once I got into the exam room the Dr. did not come in till 5:41 pm. She didn't even bother introducing herself or ask how I even know about the establishment or just getting to know me as a patient. She just very direct and went about the exam. The only good customer service was from David, the Optician. Very pleasant and approachable. So I end up purchasing eye contacts here and bought the 6 months supply for $114.72. which is not that bad. That's pretty good. Also, they have nice selection of Coach Brands and Guess Brands of eye glasses. read more

Trina is the best She is so kind and was willing to answer all of my sons questions. We wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

I've been coming here for years, the staff is exceptional and helpful, and the optician is genuinely kind. I refuse to go anywhere else.

Excellent expertise and customer service! The optometrist was very knowledgeable and detailed performing the eye exam. I bought reading glasses and needed help understanding how to adjust to new RX with the glasses. David and the Optometrist (Dr.Kade S) are incredible people and true experts in what they do. They're both so very kind and compassionate people. They sincerely seem like people who love what they do. The prices are the best in the area and they're service is unmatched. I can't say enough about how friend these two men are. They really really make you feel welcomed into their business and greet you and treat you like you're Someone important. What a great experience! read more

Skip this business if you want lenses that will last more than a month, or a correct prescription. My new lenses from here had big spider cracks on them within a week of picking them up. I took them back & the owner seems a bit put out but sent them back to be replaced. I picked up the replacement lenses and they gave me a huge migraine for two weeks straight. I took the glasses back in to see what could be done. I had to go back to wearing glasses from 2020 & instantly my migraine went away. Dave compared the prescription on my old glasses to the script I received at his store & stated there was a large different in the Rx. He stated nothing he could do about the glasses giving me a huge migraine and that the lenses were already "warrantied out" from the lenses having huge spider cracks in them. The cracks were not my fault and the lenses also had gigantic scratch marks on them. I'm not even sure how they possibly got so scratched since I'm very careful with glasses and use a clean cleaning cloth to wash and dry the lenses with every time. I keep the glasses in a container when not in use. When I took the spider cracked glasses back they were so scratched up I could barely see through them. Again, Dave acted like this was no big deal the lenses were scratched up like crazy. The quality of the lenses is absolute garbage here and I paid for lenses I cannot wear. Part of the price was ran through my insurance company so I cannot go get glasses somewhere else and have my insurance help pay for them. What a huge waste of money and the customer service blows here with Dave putting the blame of his faulty products back on the customer. 0 stars rating if I could. read more

Custom Eyes has been our family's "go to" since they opened their store. Even though we no longer live in the neighborhood, trying another company is not even considered. Proprietor David has become a friend and has provided exceptional service with eye exams, the best quality, and up to date frames, lens options, fitting and advice. For a few years I did contacts, then antiques. I had a pair with Buffalo ("Tatanka") tusk bows that were stepped on and broken. They were no longer available from the designer. David asked to give him a try at repairing them. I am wearing them at this moment and the broken piece is virtually undetectable. My wife and daughter have more than several pairs of very stylish designer frames that include reading, blended lenses, and sunglasses. Selection choices is excellent and varied. Price is never out of line. Turnaround is always faster than expected. Courtesy of the staff is what Courtesy should be. The store is small but everything else is Extra Extra Large.6 read more

I wish zero stars was an option. All I needed was a box of contacts to last me one month. Originally I had an appointment scheduled for May 30. Unfortunately I had to cancel due to work. I have crazy hours until school starts back up again. I went in this Monday and asked if there was a cancellation that I could squeeze into someday this week, turns out I can!! Boom. We schedule my appointment for Thursday @ 2 pm.. And I bought some trial contacts to last me until Thursday. So Wednesday I call and i see if there is something sooner than 2 pm on Thursday because I'm afraid I wouldn't make it to work in time if they're running late. David hands the phone to the girl and she says, "I was going to call you in a moment, but looks like your insurance doesn't renew until saturday of this week so you will have to pay out of pocket or schedule something different." I'm on an extremely crazy schedule until school starts so I won't be able to make an appointment until sometime next month. This lady has the phone to the eye doctor himself, and he's trying to argue with me about why I'm so busy and he'll come in on a day they're not open just to make me happy because I'm soooo busy . I felt like I was being gas lighted at this point. Me (a returning customer) I say, "you know. How about I buy a box of contacts to last me until next month so I have a bit of wiggle room. And will book my appointment next month when I have sometime to breathe" (my prescription is not yet expired. It will expire on Saturday) they denied me. They told me they cannot sell me contacts because my prescription expires in 3 days. So I guess my glasses won't work after my prescription expires too, right? So I went to location, had them print out my prescription that is not expired. And took it elsewhere to buy contacts. Not helpful at all. I will not be returning! read more

CUSTOM EYES!!! If you honestly need an exam and glasses all at one place all at the same time. It is CUSTOM EYES that can do that for you. When I read some of these negative reviews I think to myself, they must of had a bad day and now they take it out on this store? I can assure you residents and employees that CUSTOM EYES knows what is best for you when it comes to your eyes. To all those disgruntled customers, if you are patient with them since they are busy and hold each customer just as important as you, then how can you leave a bad and negative review. Just sayin. Dr. Stubbs is the best eye doctor I've ever seen. He was enthusiastic about helping my astigmatism, which a lot of optometrists have struggled to treat in the past. He fitted me for contacts and I was reading at 20/20 vision. This is the best contact prescription I've ever had! The staff here clearly love their jobs. David, who works at the front desk, is simply wonderful. I called today to get my prescription e-mailed over and he and Lex were so friendly and happy to help. After my exam, David didn't pressure me to order my contacts from the store, but did offer me a good discount if I wanted to. Custom Eyes is doing customer service right and these days, it's not something that happens very often. You guys have truly impressed me. read more

Dr. Tran is a very kind and knowledgeable optometrist, was very open and receptive to all my questions and concerns and was very thorough, did not feel like I was in a rush at all despite me asking a ton of questions. Through the front doors, her offices's desk and seating area was in the back next to the bathroom. Not sure what else to write, if you're looking for a optometrist in the area to trust to protect your vision, I'd have no hesitation in booking an appointment with her. read more

I've used glasses/contacts pretty much my whole life. In all that time (and it's been a looong time lol) I've been to many different places for eye exams and glasses. Custom Eyes is by far one of the best places I've been to. I went in this week and was helped by Emalin Sanchez. I just needed some sunglasses tweaked to fit better and she was so friendly and helpful. I sometimes dread having to do these types of things because you never know who you're going to get when you have to get something done in person, or what they're going to be like. I really appreciated her friendliness and willingness to help even though it was a minor thing. Thank you! read more

I always postpone my visits to the optometrist and I finally scheduled my appointment here at Custom Eyes due to the stellar reviews on Yelp. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and got an appointment the same day! I had my eye exam done with Dr. Kade and it went so smoothly. He was very knowledgeable and had the eye exam done promptly. I was very happy with the entire process. After getting the eye exam done, I was able to pick out a frame for my new glasses and got a years supply of contacts. The whole process was very painless and everyone was so kind. Always EXCELLENT service with a smile! I needed a quick adjustment to my prescription glasses before leaving town for week. I was greeted with hellos and smiles by all the staff. Not only were my frames adjusted, but they added new nose pads which solved my issue completely! As I was handed back my glasses, I shyly asked if they would take a look at an old pair of prescription shades that I'd DESTROYED somehow. "Are these even fixable", I asked. "Here they are" he replied with a grin. I am ecstatic to have my old shades back and will never go anywhere else for my glasses! Custom Eyes does it right EVERYTIME! read more

Another top notch experience at Custom Eyes with David and his staff! This time I was purchasing contact lenses for my nephew and getting my glasses adjusted. The staff is truly wonderful, and they always eager to help make sure your optical needs are met. They are adhering to COVID standards - every employee is wearing a mask, all customers are also required to wear a mask, and hand sanitizer is available for all as they step through the door. Trays are handed to each customer to use while shopping for glasses with the verbal instructions to place any frame they are interested in in the tray; the frames that are not purchased are removed from the trays, and the trays and frames are sanitized by the staff; the frames are then placed back on the displays. Social distancing is also being maintained. Many insurances are accepted, great prices, wonderful staff, and always the best experiences. I have said it before, and I will say it again, regardless of what part of town you live in, or even if you live just outside of town, it is worth the time it takes to drive to Custom Eyes.
