I had a hard time finding an artist who was in my budget especially because I was just getting my hair and makeup done, none of my bridesmaids or family, and many artists have really high minimums. I'm thankful for Victoria because she could come to my hotel and get me ready and I looked absolutely amazing on my wedding day - my dream look was really achieved. She took my feedback and suggestions really well. She was always very sweet and kind. However, I had some problems leading up to the day that meant I can't leave a 5 star review... I had some communication problems because my emails would sometimes bounce back and my calls go to a phone no longer in service - one time I even had to reach out to her on Facebook to get in touch with her (after I had paid). I booked my trial with her and drove from where I live in DC down to Richmond (even staying in a hotel overnight) and she wasn't there. I was truly shocked. She was very apologetic and came up to meet me in my apartment in DC for my trial instead, but it left a pretty bad impression and made me very anxious for my wedding day. I'm really glad I did the trial because there were some things I wanted to fix for the wedding day (all of which she achieved, except for having the fake eyelashes be a bit too long so they butted up against my glasses, which I pointed out for the trial but was still a problem on the wedding day. I've had my makeup done for other weddings and the fake eyelashes weren't a problem then, so I know shorter ones exist...) Thankfully, she was better at communicating over text after that and showed up on time for my wedding day and everything worked out really well, so all's well that ends well, but there were some bumps in the road.

Through it all, she was professional and organized and really pleasant to be around. She has an amazing attitude and a disarming personality, which is great because I tend to be awkward :) Her studio is so cute, and is in a great location in the fan. I felt really relaxed while getting my makeup done in the studio. When she came out to meet me at my wedding venue, she was ready to go and all setup by the time I got there. She breezed through makeup for the girls and had my makeup done on time, as promised. I felt amazingly beautiful both times she did my makeup, but especially so on my wedding day. The airbrush foundation that she uses really does last 8 hours. I was still getting compliments on my makeup by the end of the night, and it was a loooong day! I had never had my makeup done professionally before planning my wedding, but Candance has made me a believer!

It only took them 2.5 hours to do hair and makeup for all 4 of us and they seemed so at ease. They made the morning of my wedding so wonderful and the final product was fantastic! I loved that they asked questions of each bridesmaid- what they envisioned, if they wanted fake lashes, etc. They really listened and we all were really happy with the final product. Candance was also very flexible with me- I was planning my wedding from 3 hours away so Candance and I communicated via phone and email. She also only requested a 50% deposit on the services at the time of booking. This was a nice concession I wasn't finding with other services.
