Anyway, we managed to find Schnaitman's through Yelp and we are so glad we did. We couldn't believe there was no deposit on the boat. We paid $90 and got to take a motorboat out on the water for hours, with the only requirement being that we had to be back by 6. The woman at the desk was so helpful and nice. She showed us the ropes with the engine, gave us tips on where to go, and even provided plastic bags for us when we asked. Probably one of the most helpful staff I've ever met and she was so sweet. Sometimes it is much better to find the backwoods kind of places, and this was definitely one of those times. We were able to have a wonderful day for significantly cheaper. We even saw bald eagles, along with other great wildlife. Highly recommend!

I needed a new motor on my center console. Wanted a Suzuki. Went to A&M. Mike the owner walked me through engine selection. And I put a deposit down. Only $1000 and he bought the motor. Ten days or so I get a call motor in bring my boat. I was sick real sick and almost two months went by. About the time I was getting in my feet, mike called and offered to get the boat in for me. I said I could handle it now. I felt bad for tying up his money for so long. He was very understanding. So I took the boat in and he asked for no money??? He said it will be done in two weeks. I laughed all the way back to my truck. No one on this island gets anything done in two weeks. Let alone a big job like this. 10 TEN days later he calls and says its ready. What a beautiful installation. New shifter dash and motor. I read the review the man wrote above. After I deposited. I was scared to be honest. But my experience could have been more opposite. They advised me that I should have my fuel system pumped out as the boat headset for years prior to my purchase. They pumped out 20 gallons and charged me $305 for the service. After receiving my boat and approximately 18 hours of run time, the boat broke down. After troubleshooting it myself I noticed that there was a severe vacuum in the primer ball and that the fuel filters were completely clogged with gunk from the bottom of my fuel tank. I ended up having a seven hour tow back to the pier and ruined my memorial day! Speaking to them today they say they are not responsible for it and they only pumped out the fuel and that is all. And that they do not inspect or clean the tanks. My question is if it is not the mechanics responsibility to at least check these things then who's is it? I am the customer not the mechanic. $305 to remove 20 gallons of old fuel seems a little steep I would've expected to have my boat running properly for quite a long time and 18 hours! Now I must pull the boat myself and take care of the problem by myself. It is no wonder that boat mechanics have a bad reputation!

He told me that he had a few jobs ahead of mine and I knew that it might take him a while to get to. Lou fixed all my carbs, fixed the tach, changed my lower unit oil, and the engine purrs like a kitten now. I had taken it before to another guy in Virginia and he never truly fixed it. Also, I asked Lou to set up the fuel system so that I could run the fuel from an external 5 gallon tank so that I didnt have extra fuel sitting in the tanks to ruin the carbs again. I enjoy talking to Lou and I will continue to take my boat there in the future.

We were able to get a patio table by the water and had exceptional service by Catherine. The shrimp tacos and margaritas were delicious, as was the crab dip and nachos. Intrigued by the cover charge and enormous presence of roided security guards in tight t-shirts, we asked what in the world was going on. Well, it just happened to be their busiest day of the year: The Bikini Contest Finals, starting at 5:00 PM. Sadly for us (especially the guys), we would have to depart for our long boat ride back to Chestertown, meaning we were going to miss the bikini contest. They were not kidding about it being the biggest event of the year! As we were leaving the area, there were tons of motorboats lined up to enter the marina. Wow! Glancing around Baltimore's Inner Harbor, it's not hard to fantasize about spending time on sailboat. Problem is: unless you've devoted serious cash to owning and maintaining a boat, or you "have connections," your fantasies will remain as such. That's when American Sailing Tours comes in - from the price to the convenience to the experience - AST offers exactly what you're looking for. I found the company through Yelp (I mean...hello!), and based on the description, I figured an experience with American Sailing Tours was beyond my price point. Well, I was wrong. For around $40/person, AST provides a semi-private (up to 6 guests) sailing excursion around Baltimore's scenic Harbor. Depending on the time of day, they offer different sailing experiences (i.e. a Sunset Sail, a Wine & Cheese Sail, an Moonlight Sail, etc.) - and each tour lasts around 90 minutes, unless otherwise specified. I recently enjoyed the Baltimore Harbor Sail on a Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend. Captain Tom greeted us at the gate (as the confirmation email had detailed) - and after meeting the four other people whom were also scheduled to sail at that time, we walked to board the sailboat. Captain Tom and the other staff member (I'm terrible - I forgot his name!) were both welcoming and kind - and we felt safe and comfortable, immediately. As we began to sail around, they played relaxing music, and needless to say, the experience couldn't have been better. 90 minutes flew by while sailing in Baltimore, yet I'm so glad I had the chance to do so! Thanks to the affordable price, and the memorable experience - not only did I have a lovely time, but I will most certainly be back to sail again. If you want to unwind, and sailing appeals to you - I couldn't recommend American Sailing Tours more! P.S. Regardless of the "type" of Sail Tour, they always provide non-alcoholic beverages. He took us up the Choptank River to about 10 different stops. You can bring your own rod or you can rent one from him. We ended the day with ~24 perch. Overall, a great experience!
