So very disappointed.
The customer service is severely lacking and ethically questionable. I called Hudson Marine to repair my boat engine (Hudson Marine had installed a new power-head on this engine previously) engine and was told if I wanted it done sooner than the 12-business day quote, I would need to bring cash. I brought my boat in and gave all the pertinent information to the staff, along with a credit card information. On the following Monday I called Bob Hudson and he asked if that was my boat in his yard because no one knew anything about it, even though I had had a lengthy discussion with the woman at the counter when I dropped off the boat. The following day Alicia called me and requested a $500 deposit and an agreement to pay a 3% processing fee. I asked if they even looked at my engine and she said no. I responded that not having a diagnosis for the problem and yet requesting a $500 deposit seemed unreasonable to me. I reiterated this to Bob when we spoke came that afternoon. Bob said they request the $500 deposit to make sure people are "serious" about repairs. Again, he had not even looked at the engine at this time. He stated that if I did not want to pay the deposit, he would "put my boat in the back of the queue." I decided to pick my boat up and take it elsewhere. When I arrived for the pickup, Alicia said she would go and talk to Bob. While they were jockeying boats around so they could pull mine out, Bob never came out to speak with me. When they brought my boat around I noticed that it had a flat tire. These tires were just two weeks old. To be fair, I could have picked up a nail between the Kent Island boat ramp and Hudson marine....who knows. read more
