Today 4 of us shot 100 birds each and encountered 4 machines that would not throw true pairs. These folks make you pay for your birds in advance and every time you push the button you get charged for a bird whether it comes out or not. Seems unfair to me. The course is pretty good but when I pay for something I should get what I pay for.

That's really the most important thing about a shoot, so check marks for all of those. The targets were all fair even if I didn't hit very many. I had a good time and everyone who worked there was very nice. They have one bathroom inside the main building and two on either side on the outside with more stalls. Sunday crabs were awesome. Very meaty and definitely more than I could eat. Since moving to maryland, I have had to learn how to open crabs. This was my first time opening them on my own since my husband had to go shoot an event and I was left to my own devices in the crab department. Luckily, the power of recall got me through it and I had a great time hammering away at the crabs. The scores were up very quickly online and printed out for everyone to check. It was very well organized and intuitive enough to find where to go for the various events. We did not rent a golf cart but they did have golf carts available. I would recommend it as the course is spread out over a large area. We had the gun stroller which worked fine, but if you have over two people, a golf cart is the way to go. This is probably my favorite sporting clays course within 2 hours of DC. Will definitely be coming back for future shoots!

The playground, piccadilly castle, is a large wooden playground that could use some updating. They have a smaller area reserved for only smaller children, which is nice when it's crowded with older kids and they have no regard for your toddler. The swings could use an update and the slides could use a deep clean, but everything was pretty solid. The castle has bricks around it with names of those who contributed toward or helped build it. It's neat to see some familiar names! I recommend this park and playground for those who have kids needing to get rid of energy or those who need to walk and clear their head.

They don't seem to be chiggers because the bites are everywhere, head to foot, and spaced out whereas chiggers are usually many bites in one area. Itching lasted for about a week. Additionally, there is a huge bald-faced hornet nest on the blue trail as you're heading back. My friend who is about 6 foot almost hit their head on it. We were able to walk past without an issue, however. They aren't usually aggressive unless disturbed. These guys visit me on my deck and are quite chill if I don't swat them. People have already started using it as a landfill and there is quite a bit of trash on the small trail leading to the water.
