. Having a 20 1/2 year old cat (above) means i am especially grateful to have Dr. Binder and her fabulous team at Cushing Square Veterinary!

I began asking Dr. Binder to care for my cats many years ago, before she was at Cushing Square. When she moved to Cushing Square, I followed. Throughout every interaction, I have experienced her excellent care, her compassion, and never once felt that money was her primary objective in caring for my pets. She has kept my cats healthy and strong and avoids unnecessary costs. Cushing Square is the best!

Had only poor experiences here. Dr. Starble is okay, but is rushed. The staff are also always rushed and often provide conflicting and wrong information. Also, it's worth noting that the prices here for everything is about 1.5-2x that of most other vets in Boston. They also recommend dental procedures a lot. I got a second opinion and learned how they had been pushing a procedure the dog simply did not need. There are better options here, so definitely do your research!

My family has had cats for more than 30 years. One of our cats was so afraid of vets and behaved so badly that she was close to being banned by a another vet in Belmont, but she could feel the love at Cushing Square and was a different kitty. We are so grateful to have Dr. Binder providing care. She is thoughtful about what is best for them and is willing to spend the time we need to make the best decisions. She always calls us back the same day.

Dr. Binder is wonderful, caring, warm, and can discuss issues and problems with a balance of risk vs. benefits.

I'm so happy to have found a low stress facility that is flexible with procedures and processes to make things less stressful for your pet. They don't have a waiting room so you go right to the exam room. You can also wait in the car until the vet is ready if your pet is particularly anxious at the vet. Additionally their exam rooms are very comfortable with couches and dog beds rather than exam tables and hard chairs. We love the staff and the clinic!

In retrospect the policy of being assigned any vet who is available means that no one vet has a working relationship with your dog or his/her human. At our last visit, the exam room, although comfortable, was much too small for a large dog, two owners, the Vet and her assistant. It would be impossible to check out the dog's gait in such a small space had the vet thought to do that and the atmosphere was chaotic. . Less than one and a half months later our 9 year old Golden was diagnosed at Angell with incurable cancer with a very large tumor on her left back flank and it had spread.. Of course we knew Goldens, even English Cream Goldens, do have high rates of cancer but we did not know that there were numerous ways to try to prevent and/or discover the cancer early. Although not always successful owners should at least be informed of these methods. Giving the minimum and only very necessary inoculations .was one. Our dog was given a Lyme disease injection with no discussion whether she needed it or how effective it was (both debated in the vet. literature). Our dog's cancer primary tumor was at the place of this injection. Maybe the injection did not cause her cancer but maybe it did. In addition I learned from the VEG emergency vet, owners of senior large dogs often elect to have exams twice a year starting at age seven and with imaging to catch any suspicious growths in or outside of the dog. The vet did find two small growths and pronounced them non-cancerous. It would have been better given the dog's age and breed to aspirate them and look under a microscope. I informed Heal Vet of the death of our dog but have yet to hear back from them. I finally called today and was told I would receive a card but it would take several more weeks. No interest in what caused her death. Jo Anne

Sadly, we recently suffered a death in our family and inherited two cats--Rocky, who is 10, and Wall-E, who is 8 months old. Since Wall-E needed to be neutered, a dear friend recommended Kindness Animal Hospital, and we are so thankful they did. From the very first phone call, when we spoke with Brenda and explained our story, we were met with nothing but kindness, compassion, and understanding. It meant more to us than she probably realizes. Dr. Rosenblatt examined both of our newly adopted fur babies and helped us get Wall-E scheduled for his neutering at just the right time. Sam and everyone else on the staff made us feel so welcome. You can tell they genuinely love animals, and that love carries over to the people who walk through their doors, too. The care our boys received was exceptional, and we were also so appreciative that it was affordable. During a difficult time for our family, everyone at Kindness made something that could have been stressful feel easy. We can't recommend Kindness Animal Hospital enough. They truly live up to their name. When you walk through their doors, you're treated with kindness, compassion, and respect, and your pets are treated like family. Thank you, Dr. Rosenblatt, Brenda, Sam, and the entire Kindness family for taking such wonderful care of Rocky, Wall-E, and us. We are so grateful. With love, Rudy, Eva, Rocky & Wall-E

I was triaged right away and felt the team there did a good job letting me know my wait time, diagnosis and results came in and options for treatment and payment (and payment plans if needed). While waiting, you're in the back where they're doing the treatment for your pet and others. Everything looked clean, clean and organized, and I immediately felt I had brought Buddy to the right place for his care. Buddy ended up needing to spend the night for monitoring and I felt informed and assured he was in the best care. When he was discharged the vet and Vet techs made sure I had Buddy's necessary medications and answered all my questions before I left. I hope I don't need to go back to the emergency room, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to come back here.

Dr. Estes explained everything clearly--what was happening, the prognosis, and what we should do next. The techs / nurses--Kim Nguyen, Kendra Baker, and Jennifer Ducharme--were also wonderful: professional, patient, and very caring. They were attentive throughout the entire process while our Pomeranian was undergoing sedation, and you could tell they genuinely cared. I'm sure they see situations like this every day, but they still treated our dog with the attention and care he needed. Small things like that matter. These are clearly very capable people who could work in many different fields--including human medicine--but they choose to care for pets, and it shows. I would absolutely recommend this clinic and would return again if needed. My one tip: call ahead so they can prepare for your arrival.

Spent over $1,300 for a consult and spay just for them to be closed for 2 days in a row with less than a 24 hour notice. Waited over 30 minutes at the initial consult appointment. Day of the spay appointment, I drop my cat off at 8:00 AM and was not even given a phone call with an update. Tried to call them for an update at 1:45: PHONES OFF!!!!! Called at 2:00 PM to find out the my cat has BEEN SITTING IN A KENNEL AND STILL MOT SPAYED! She was not spayed until 3:00 in the afternoon with the excuse that "it's busy" but they'll put her under and give her something to come back up. AN 8lb CAT?! She's not a science project. She was in a kennel for more time than she was in recovery which was a little less THAN 2 HOURS! Arrived at 5:30 for the pick up and Waited over 15 minutes in an empty lobby until someone decided to step out from the back. Brought my cat home with oral gabapentin and she could not tolerate it. Was advised by a TECH to continue giving oral gabapentin when my cat was clearly adversed to it and told me to call back if she was still having problems. Tried to call back and they were closed from 12:00 on Friday until that Monday. Not even ONE doctor on staff? Closure announcement made LESS THAN 24 hours in advanced AND made through their GOOGLE ACCOUNT? Not even an email or automated phone call to inform patients? Sketchy business, sketchy service and I will NEVER go back. I will be letting everyone I know to steer clear of this vet unless they want to spend a grand for lousy service.

She was a frequent flier to the vet and had to get monthly allergy injections to keep her comfortable. After being on a prescription hydrolyzed protein food for a while, she was having a hard time. Our vet suggested we see a Dermatologist. Enter Dr. Painter. I should have played the lottery the day we went to see her because it was for sure a lucky day. We met over the phone due to Covid. Never having met face-to-face, she listened to all the ups and downs for our dog. She never made me feel like a burden or bother - she was engaged and genuinely interested. Post our chat and our dog's in-person visit - Dr. Painter easily laid out a plan for her. She had seen other dogs like ours and recommended a new food and additional interventions. Our dog was in excellent hands. As if we needed additional proof, most recently, our dog ended up in the ER with her most severe allergic reaction ever. Unfortunately, the ER doctor was a generalist and couldn't pinpoint the issue. So, I emailed Dr. Painter photos of the breakout without a second thought. Within a few minutes, she responded with a diagnosis and intervention. Our dog was made comfortable and in stable condition. We followed up with Dr. Painter and now understand the issue and a long-term care plan for our dog. We are glad Dr. Painter came back to the East Coast and that she can be a part of our dog's care. She and her team always show genuine care for both pets and humans. We can't recommend her enough for anyone looking for a knowledgeable, engaged, and superly awesome human being who also happens to be an excellent dermatologist.
