This is a wonderful spot in Hanover that breaks up the chain food places. I have eaten here several…read moretimes. They have homemade donuts that are always so fresh and delicious. My absolute favorite is the Cinnabon, it comes with a cream cheese frosting dollop that is so good! Most recently I got to try the cinnamon coffee roll which is light and airy and has that same frosting which brings it all together. Flavorful and delicious! My friend and I usually get the southwestern sandwich but we add a soft boiled egg to it which brings the whole thing together for a yummy breakfast. I have also had the sausage egg and cheese on their homemade biscuits. Pro tip- ask for the biscuit to be heated it takes your breakfast sandwich go to the next level of goodness! The only reason I knocked a star is because their baked goods sell out so fast that I usually don't get to try any of the specials. I wish they made more to have them last the entire time they're open. I'm also not a coffee drinker and most of the drinks are coffee based so I do wish they had more non coffee drink options that isn't hot tea. Usually this place is packed with people at every table and lines to the door, the food is worth the wait though! Plus they have Louis Tomlinson playing over their radio here and there which earns them a gold star in my book!

We ordered a small dirty chai and a small iced latte both with almond milk. We ordered a glazed yeast donut to share and it was light and fluffy, not overly sweet. We both very much enjoyed our drinks and highly recommend.

I absolutely love their buttercream frosting. It's not overly sweet. The Key lime pie is to die for, the cookies and bars are really tasty and portions are huge! They've added bagels and croissants for sandwiches, etc. And though I never really had bagel sandwiches before, the roast beef is fantastic and filling. Also, they are truly some of the nicest people I've ever met so it's nice to see them doing well at something they clearly love to do! Check them out and don't forget the iced coffee!!

Beyond their…read moreexceptional everyday pastries, this is a place that truly shines when it comes to beautiful custom-order cakes and outstanding pies. Their custom cakes are not only visually stunning--clearly made with precision and pride--but they also deliver where it matters most: flavor, texture, and balance. These are celebration-worthy cakes that look as good as they taste. The pies deserve special mention as well. Perfectly baked crusts, generous fillings, and flavors that feel classic yet elevated. Whether fruit-based or cream, they strike that rare balance between homemade comfort and professional execution. Across the board, everything here reflects care and craftsmanship. Cakes are moist and well-balanced, cupcakes are indulgent without being overly sweet, cookies hit that ideal texture, and specialty desserts never feel mass-produced or rushed. There's a clear understanding of restraint and technique--nothing gimmicky, just excellent baking. Consistency is another standout. Whether you're grabbing a quick treat or placing a custom order for a special occasion, the quality never wavers. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely proud of their work, and the shop itself is warm, clean, and welcoming. Sugah Hill Bakery isn't just a Hanover favorite--it's one of the standout bakeries on the South Shore. The kind of place you recommend confidently and return to often.

I'm giving it 4 stars for my personal experience, though my friend would probably shoot for 3 stars. I started with a newly released juice--very ginger-forward and delicious. Have them make it with light ice. I ordered the banana pancake with granola crunch and a side of Millions Dollar Bacon. I was thoroughly delighted by my choices. That bacon is soooooooo good. My friend ordered a grilled pumpkin muffin and a side of fresh fruit, which is where the disappointment was. The fruit was mostly grapes and some strawberries that had clearly gone past their point of freshness. Our waitress, Molly, confirmed fruit is prepped each morning, but it certainly looked over ripe and slimy. Molly graciously removed the item from our bill. One other small issue is that the artificial coffee creamers sit on each table, but you have to ask for real cream. I don't drink coffee, but I know this is important to those that do! Ask for the good stuff when you order!

The menu includes a simple array of coffee (hot and cold), an array of bagels with a variety of cream cheese options (I'm told the bacon scallion is excellent), and some breakfast sandwich options. I decided to go breakfast burrito as that's usually my go to breakfast item when it's available, and an iced coffee. The iced coffee tasted great, but the burrito, which I immediately regrettably noticed after I ordered is made with microwaved eggs, was only ok, not the best. I'll definitely be back to get an iced coffee next time in the area, but will skip the breakfast sandwiches and go for the bagels. For anyone desiring a cooked breakfast/ breakfast sandwiches, I recommend going across the street to Doorknock, but for bagels and coffee this place is pretty solid. *Cash only*
