Such a cute little place! Seating accommodates probably 25 people which isn't a whole lot. I ordered the lamb biryani and garlic naan while my friend had the regular naan with lamb vindaloo. The lamb was so tender! The way they presented it with the sauce on top made the portion seem not worth $16, but it's an illusion! I've got enough left for lunch and dinner tomorrow!!! I ordered it medium spice which provided a lingering kick...if you can handle heat, I think I should've kicked this up a notch. The yogurt sauce was mediocre-watered down more than I expected. My friend had also ordered the vegetable samosas which aren't pictured, but I loved these! The naan was a disappointment. It felt more like a cracker. The aromatics were there but not taste of the garlic which is what I really wanted. I'd come back for the biryani but hold off on the naan. I definitely want to try their buffet too! read more

Curry Hut - (Starting at 12 and moving clockwise) Jasmine rice, garlic naan, lamb biryani, lamb vindaloo - Indian Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

Med. Spice Level Butter Chicken from Curry Hut is the BEST BITE IN AUGUSTA. Simply the best Butter Chicken I've ever had. I've ordered it 8 times in a row. Get Medium spice level, not Mild, it has more to do with flavor than just the heat aspect. They probably have other amazing dishes but I can't get pass the Butter Chicken. Great ownership too, the guys in there are really nice. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Trust me, thank me later. Butter Chicken, Medium Spice Level. Do it. Do it, now. read more

My fiancé and I had a great time here. Really calm and comforting environment, music was tasteful and the low light gave an intimate dining experience. We had the Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka Masala. It was a big portion of delicious and tender biryani. The garlic naan and onion naan were fresh, fluffy, and crispy. Mango Lassi was super smooth and thick. Chicken tikka masala was creamy, buttery, tender and really tasty. We asked for our food to be spicy and it sure was! Our waiter was very kind and patient. We will be returning soon! read more

Curry Hut - Lamb Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala - Indian Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

I've visited the curry hut and very much enjoyed there Indian food.. although I live over an hour away, it's one of my first choices when in the Augusta area. Although small the food is worth the wait, I would recommend come early and enjoy.. read more

Great food, service, and ambiance! Ordered: chicken, shrimp & lamb biryani dish, chili shrimp, and butter chicken. I can't forget the bread basket... all delicious! I will be returning! read more

LIKES: Let me start off by saying that the chicken tikka masala was amazing! I got the medium spicy flavor because I wanted a kick to it The food was fresh and the quantity I got was a nice portion as you can see. The rice was perfectly cooked to me. I don't like hard nor soft rice so the texture was immaculate I loved the garlic naan and the raita was alright. I also got the Mango Lasse ....PERFECTION! (Tastes just like a smoothie but smoother and better). DISLIKES: I also got Lamb samosas, I am not a fan of them as they are so similar in ground beef and it tasted a bit bland. The sauce it came with I did not like at all. It did taste a bit better when I dipped it in the raita but after a while the cucumber in the raita overpowers everything! Overall I would recommend it. I definitely will go back to try the butter chicken and some dessert. read more

You can't get better Indian food, unless you go directly to India. We order or eat at Curry Hut every time we are in the Evans/Augusta area. The food is so fresh, so delicious. The flavors and seasonings are perfect. The staff are always friendly and very welcoming. THANK YOU CURRY HUT! We love you! read more

Ate an early dinner here on a Saturday night with a friend. The building's exterior is not much to look at, but do not let that turn you away, the inside is cozy and the food is excellent. Since we came for an early dinner (about 6pm or so) the restaurant was only about half full when we arrived, we had our pick of tables and were seated right away. The service throughout dinner was excellent, multiple servers came by to check on our table, refill drinks, and clear away dishes. We ordered two appetizers the paneer pakoda and the samosa chaat, both were very good. I ordered the lamb pasanda as my main. I ordered it medium as I like some spice in my curry, but it was really not very spicy, if you like spice in your curry I would recommend going for the hot spice option. My friend and I shared an order of garlic naan and chili naan. Photos of the food are below. Note the curry comes with white rice, but it is not included in the photos...I think we all know what white rice looks like right? Overall an excellent dinner experience, will certainly return next time I am in the greater Augusta area! read more

Curry Hut - Boti kebob - Indian Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

This is one of my wife's and my favorite places in all of Augusta! It's gotten to where I don't even open the menu. Everything is so good that I just ask the server what the chef recommends and I just go with that. And everytime, it's amazing! The spices! The flavors! The warmth of the dishes! Seriously, if you're a fan of curry, this needs to be on your list! read more

I've been going here for YEARS and it's still hands down the best Indian food in the CSRA

This is an authentic Indian restaurant. Foods are great. Plus, you feel like you are eating in India! So hot in this restaurant!!! AC works fine, just they put AC very low I guess. read more

First time coming after all these years and I really enjoyed it. We started off with lamb somosas. They were flaky and the lamb in side was very good. They come in an order of two. We then had the Briyani deluxe. This has chicken, lamb, and shrimp. We ask for medium spice and it still had a good kick. Very good. We also had chicken Marsala. It was really good as well, seasoned very well. Finally we had the the butter chicken. Always a hit and definitely good here. Seemed to rather small but still very good overall. The garlic naan was also very good and actually pretty large. I was actually very impressed with it. It was fluffy and still had the burnt bubbles, great for dipping in the masala and butter chicken gravy. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it, I would recommend anyone who likes good food to try this place it. read more

I would give 0 if I could! Tried ordering Egg Biriyani and they gave a long speech about how their food is fresh from scratch abc it would take 45 minutes to get it... so I order basic Idli, I get it in 10 mins - except - it is FROZEN - not even heated and thawed fully! So much for fresh food! Don't believe any of the freshness nonsense! read more

If you are a chicken korma lover like myself, this is the place for you. Word for the wise; however, do not try the "spicy" version if you are not frequently eating spicy foods. Tone it down to a medium. It's the best I've tasted in town so far. If you're getting takeout call ahead if possible because it may be a 20-minute wait depending on what you order. If eating in, service may take more time than you're used to as well. read more

This is a hole in the wall place, but the food is so good!!! I ordered the Chicken Tikka, and the chicken had a lot of flavor and was very tender. I also tried the Mango Chicken Curry, and it was also good. The garlic nan is a must! read more

This place slaps in a good way. A unique taste to add to the community of Augusta. The service here is wonderful and the interior is beautiful. I am so happy to have a taste of Indian food here. IN terms of flavor, spices, and aromatics, this place gots it. Good vibes all around with everything here. I believe they are also grow some of their spices and herbs right outside the restaurant. I had the chicken curry, chicken biryani, vegetable samosas, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Mango lassi: Perfect the way it is. Exactly how I remembered it. Garlic Naan: More on the dry side with this type. Not as wet and buttery compared to others. Good to eat and less oily, so I still eat it and love it regardless. Chicken Curry (mild): So good and sweet. Comes with plain basmati rice. Does the job. Creamy, moist chicken breast chunks. Put that over your rice and in your mouth for a good time. So much flavor an warmth. Chicken Biryani (medium spice level): Comes with raita (white cucumber yogurt sauce). This is spicy for medium which I don't mind and excited to come back for the spicy (3rd an highest level spice). Loved every bite. It really is spicy still, and each bite is packed with many spices. Vegetable samosa: 3 small sized with tamarind chutney sauce and cilantro mint yogurt. Yummy yummy! 10/10 would come back again and soon. A unique and special gem in Augusta. IT REALLY REALLY IS GOOD. I can't wait to come back. read more

I came here right when they opened. I ordered butter chicken, garlic naan & vegetable samosas. The butter chicken was flavorful but a little much on the sweeter side other than that I love the spices and flavor it gives. The Garlic naan is unquestionable, it was so good. Now for my favorite part, the SAMOSAS! They were so good I just wish it was more than just 2 for the price. The service was amazing, we were greeted at the door and no wait line. He took our order right away! He said 20 minute wait for our food so we sat inside, he offered us water while waiting.. but really only waited 10 minutes!!! It was fast service and definitely will be back to try other dishes! The Ambiance of the place was nice, love the culture decor inside and the music. Wish I would have gotten a picture but I was ready to devour my food with how amazing it smelt in the car. read more

Never coming back. We use to be regulars, however, will not be returning after our recent experience. Mainly because they are not transparent about their charging system, I would even call it sneaky. When they bring you the electronic receipt they race through the buttons on your behalf, making it easier to not notice extra service charges, causing double tipping if you're not careful. Also when you're suppose to sign for your credit card, our waiter squiggled on our behalf to expedite the process. Ended up paying a $20 tip because we were unaware of the extra service charges. Did not realize until we were extra insistent as to why our bill was so high. Also, portions have gotten smaller. They gave us two average sized bowls of rice for 5 people. Naan is mediocre in comparison to other Indian restaurants in town. read more

Every time I eat here, I'm reminded that it's the best meal I've ever had. Just unbelievably good. Everything I've had here has been good, but the absolute must haves are Samosa Chaat and Badami Murgh with garlic naan. I've stopped ordering anything else on the menu, as nothing has come close to beating those dishes. read more

Usually one of my go tos for Indian takeout but recently went and dined in. They also have a lunch buffet which I'd recommend if you want to try a variety of things. Beware if you are dining in...the restaurant was kept pretty warm (not sure if that's intentional). Staff was attentive and pleasant. I got the veg samosa as an appetite. The pea and potato filing was well seasoned and nicely filled. For my entree I got the masala dosa (crepe filled with potato)...when I previously ordered this dish it used to be one large crepe but this time it was 2 smaller one...still tasty with a nice crispy outside. The accompaniments (chutney of some sort was also delicious). Chicken Tikka masla is a classic but my favorite is Chicken korma...it's creamy and a little sweet. You can get it mild, medium or spicy. I got medium and it wasn't very spicy. Of course you cannot forget the Naan to soak up all the curry sauce (garlic Naan is my personal fave). Other items I've had and enjoyed include the tandoori chicken (it is bone in) and the Gobi 6. read more

This is the first time we have dined in, usually we get our food to go. This was a mixed experience but I don't know if it was so busy on a rainy night or maybe it was a different chef on the line tonight but the food just was not the same. The restaurant is small but has a great after work kind of vibe. The drink menu is limited but forgo the alcoholic beverages for the mango lassi. We had the chicken and lamb samosas here many times before but this time it was over fried and the sigh was tough. The filling was great as always though not as plentiful as I remember. We ordered both the garlic naan and garlic roti. The naan was great, the roti cracked like a cracker. I would recommend sticking with the naan. The lamb curry was EXCELLENT. Tender, well seasoned. The vegetable Palau was just ok, definitely made with frozen vegetables. I would have enjoyed the lamb with the plain jasmine rice just as much. We also had the raita that went well with the rice and curry. My husband had the chicken Hyderabadi and loved it. Overall the proteins here are really good. I hope our next experience rivals their normal experience. read more

Pros: -flavor is AMAZING. Cons: -smallllll a** portions -pricey for what you get -I got an eggplant dish and literally only got the tops of the eggplant (you know the part with the green leaves on it) Soooo the cons outnumber the pros but I guess if you're craving Indian food (which I was) this place is worth it. read more

We're new to the area and wanted authentic Indian food. I'm very satisfied with Curry Hut! We ordered the butter chicken which had its typical flavor. Dhal, which I was expecting to be more creamy. It was choppy and more of a garlic and buttery taste than expected. What we really enjoyed was the lamb rogan josh. It was bursting with flavors. Mango Lassi was very thick so we added more milk which tasted fabulous. Keer (rice pudding) was ON POINT!!The service did not match the food unfortunately. We had ordered over the phone and the employee seemed rushed and spoke fast as if trying to get us off the line. Maybe ordering in person could be a better experience. I also think the prices are a bit high. The quantity of food (the 3 from above) was perfect to feed a family of 4 that included young children. We did have left overs. I may order from this business again. Give it a shot! read more

OK so full disclosure I'm a bit of an Indian food snob after spending a month in India and having some of the best food I've ever had in my life. This place is the first in the US that I've tasted that I would say is authentic to what we had in northern India. Although just a small place and a little light on ambience it offers some delicious menu items with quite an array of choices. They also offer full takeout which sometimes is not a bad idea considering the wait can be longer than one might like when they're busy. But the weight is definitely worth the meal! I've had many of the menu items and have never been disappointed! Enjoy and happy dining! read more

Let me get this out first. Come for the buffet first! It's during lunch hours everyday (11:30 am-2:30 pm). And yes, that includes weekends. Now, on to the food. It is authentic, delicious, and will leave you wanting to return very soon. You will work to find a parking spot. You may have to wait to get a seat. But you will not regret the time it may take for either of these. When the flavor of one of the lamb dishes or the mango chicken curry hits your palette, all of that will be forgotten. If you have room for dessert, there is some amazing butterscotch pudding to cool you down as well. I cannot express enough how grateful they are in the community. Stop in and experience it soon! read more

WEBSITE PRICES ARE NOT RIGHT! Called to place a pick up order that should've been around $48 as we did the math ourselves, and we usually ask what the total price is / the person on the phone tells us what it is, but just slipped us tonight. Showed up and our total was $60, pre tip. Workers told us website prices have been incorrect for 4 years now and that "we should know" the prices are different online. We are new to the area, so definitely did not know. Absolutely horrible. You should probably use the extra money from all of the upcharges on these orders and buy a new website domain then. read more

Had to travel to Augusta for a couple days. Found this place on yelp. Great find. Not only the best Indian food I've ever had, but likely the best food I've ever eaten. This is a cozy little spot and it stays pretty busy. The entrance is a bit awkward especially if there's a line to pay your bill. The staff is always friendly, but the food in my opinion is average. I've tried several dishes before but I've never really been impressed. I don't care for their chicken tikka masala or the texture of how their rice is cooked but the butter chicken isn't bad. Today I had the buffet for lunch and it was alright. I liked the bread pakora. read more

Although we were doing a take out order she kept us entertained and was super friendly. She made sure we had enough rice for all of our dishes. We had the lamb pasanda, paneer makhani, and chicken tikka masala. All these items were flavor bombs and I would definitely like to come dine in here. read more
