The black piping that I had was poly-something-or-another, and I realized that I didn't, in fact, know what I was doing...at all. So, when I walked into ACE, I essentially held up the bit of black piping that I had removed and was like, "How do I fix this?" Not only was I pointed in the right direction to find the correct replacement piping, but a phenomenal employee also helped me find the correct items for the repair and walked me through the steps to fix it. Alright, round two -- I repaired the pipe just as instructed and I still found myself with a light dribble of water coming out, no matter how tight I got the clamps. I walked into ACE a second time with a picture of the repair work on my phone. I asked the same employee, "Did I do this right?" and shared that it was still dripping. He gave me a patch to wrap around the coupling inserts, further instructions, some words of encouragement, and I was on my way again. Round three. I took it all apart and added that patch and BAM, worked like a charm. In my son's own words, "Wow, I didn't realize this would be an all-day project." Me neither, bud, haha. But I am SO beyond grateful for the friendly and helpful staff at ACE. Couldn't have done it without you guys!

They have a sign on the door that says they are 20% Hardware 30% craft/sewing/hobby and 50% museum. From the outside this place looks very unkempt and all of the merchandise in the windows (books, postcards, keychains, solutions in gallon bottles) are very faded and I question their age. Then, of course, there is the printer-paper sign in boldface type stating "We refuse the right to refuse service to anyone." It's hard to serve people when you don't carry the merchandise your name implies.

It was a unique custom color for which we didn't have the numbers. Deanna mixed some up and we sampled next to the original color. (too much texture in my sample for an accurate color match). Anyway she knows what she's doing and continued adding other colors to the mix until she got the exact match. Yesterday I touched up my newly built walls that were scratched during construction.
