I went in their store today for the first time with my cousin, the lady was very rude, on the phone the entire time on what seemed to be a personal phone call. We came from Crescent City which is about a 45min drive away and arrived at 4:31pm and she claimed the bead part of the store was closed, that it closed at 4:30pm and claimed she couldn't ring anything up from that part of the store?! I do NOT recommend this place. If I could give a -4 star review I would but since I can't I am giving them a single star. read more

We stopped here for the first time on our 2 week vacation in Brookings in May. Tammy, the friendly owner, greeted me as soon as I walked in. My husband elected to stay in the car, but after about 10 minutes in the store, I knew that he had to come in and see all of the lovely merchandise that Tammy has displayed! There is a terrific selection of gift items, household decorations, jewelry (I purchased 3 pieces), specialty foods, and much more, all at very reasonable prices. Tammy has been in this business for a long time and it really shows in the detailed selection of her merchandise and also in it's presentation throughout the store. The shop organized by theme and color which made it easier for us to see all that was offered, that would fit perfectly into our new home, Attached to the gift store is a bead shop. I originally stopped here to see if a couple of pieces of costume jewelry (that I had been carrying around in my purse for over a year!), could be repaired. The owner of the bead shop was not available, so Tammy graciously offered to fill in - she fixed my 3 necklaces for me, for free - that's old fashioned, GREAT customer service!!! This is our third trip to Brookings for vacation and I'm only sorry that it was our first time to this store. When we come back next year, rest assured that we will make a special trip to stop by Feather Your Nest - it truly is a "can't miss" shop so be sure to stop by, you won't be disappointed! read more

Wander... when you want a warm comfortable place wander and make your dollar go a long way I suggest stopping by Feather Your Nest... Every time I am in town and need a gift, which is a lot, this is one of my "two go to" places to find a nice gift that is unique and quality. You are welcome and invited to enjoy the store as soon as you walk in. You can wander and nobody is pushy... just there to help you if you have questions. I happen to love birds and they have a nice selection of ceramic, glass, wood, and iron birds... different shapes and sizes.. however their selection of items doesn't end or begin with just birds... There are local food items, local artist show and sell their goods... a nice selection of vintage glass. It is just a nice place to visit... and like I said most importantly your dollar will go a long way for a special gift. read more

So I walked in with brand new gloves and my hands completely covered and dried with sanitizer , she makes me take off my gloves and have a pair of hers to put on , ok so I'm in the process of doing this and my mask broke , ( one customer aloud at a time) So I put on her gloves through mine away and then my mask breaks and she sees me throw it in the trash and then I decided that I'm going to head back to the bedroom meanwhile I am picking out my beads and what not and she comes in and asked where is my mask I said it broke when you made me put on your gloves when I had just put all brand new stuff on and she's like oh well you have to leave the store and I'm like um ok , she was very argumentative ( but honestly and that's on her) , understandable as these times but she literally put me at risk because I couldn't even bring in the stroller to get another facemask so she put me at risk as well as her business! I left my boyfriend and baby just so l could shop for beads, when I went to ask to get a new mask she was very rude and had people waiting, I just got what I had ,paid and left ! Thank you for putting me at risk and your behavior issues are quite bad Especially if you're going to be working in customer service so thank you again for putting me at risk and basically kicking me out because you had other customers when you were you let them walk right past me without letting having them Put your gloves ! I will post this more than one please! So completely rude and not acceptable. read more

Not thrilled! Items appear to be high quality but are cheaply made. I came for birthday gifts for a friend, and was told there was complementary wrapping. The attendant wrapped my gifts in nautical and Christmas wrapping, and told me there was no other wrapping available. That was a lie, as their wrapping station was clearly visible had several choices. For a birthday, I would have preferred the polka dot or the wrapping with stars. Don't lie to your customers. Also, upon unwrapping to re-wrap in birthday appropriate paper, I noticed one of the gifts had been scraped up pretty badly. Will not return, ever. Two thumbs way down. read more
