At the gift shop there was a display of Aunt Laurie's Crack Corn. I purchased the strawberry cheesecake. Within 5 minutes of opening the bag everyone devoured it! It was THAT good! A couple of days later we found a little gift shop in Brookings. I went in and there was a HUGE display of Aunt Laurie's. Crack Corn. I got so excited!! Then a guy from behind the counter says "this is Laurie!" and pointed to the lady standing there. I was a bit star struck! Ha! I told her how we loved the crack corn. They quickly told us they had samples of all their flavors. Oh my gosh! We bought many bags! The jalapeno is amazing! There are many other items in the store. We bought some different salsas, sunflower seeds, candy, etc. I highly recommend you run here right now and get you some crack corn! You can thank me later! They also ship! We had a great time visiting with Laurie and her family. Talk about nice, humble, and great humans!

I was relieved to find that not only are there wholesome homemade soups on offer but the sandwiches are made with homemade and unboring ingredients like house-baked bread, dilly tuna salad, chanterelles and their own cranberry sauce. I ordered the veggie sandwich, and a cup of the daily soup: veggie stew with chanterelles. Both were brimming with fresh vegetables, and they did not skimp on those freshly foraged mushrooms. Service was so friendly and welcoming. Our sandwiches took a bit longer than the time it takes to stand in line at a Subway. And that is for good reason; the owners were lovingly putting the finishing touches on our lunches as if we were visiting house guests. Definitely stop at the OAS if you're passing through or staying nearby.

Nothing interesting or groundbreaking about these boards for the prices in my opinion. Everything seemed liked basic grocery store items and I make more artisanal and elevated boards just at home. Service was subpar. Table of 2 & they asked for my ID to seat us at the bar -- we didn't plan to sit there but that's what seemed available to them. was there at a very slow point of the day. The place itself is small and not very spacious. Overall my first experience at this could have been way better and I did expect more. I also visited the store that is interconnected -- bought a few items including a coconut blondie. The blondie was delicious but service in the store was just the same as the restaurant.

The service is fast and good, the employees engage and give samples. My family has come here for over 20 years. It has expanded and shifted, a Josephine County -country- staple. Could be a tad cleaner at times in areas where people dine/freshen up, but I believe that has to do with the amount of traffic the store receives. I always see whoever is working, working hard. *Dog friendly patio* *Public restroom, baby changing table inside*

YOU NEVER SAUSAGE A PLACE!!…read more I stop here whenever I am passing through the area. The place is very large. It's a full on meat store. They have sausage, of course, steaks, seafood, poultry, jerky, the works. They have a hard jerky and a soft jerky. I thought the hard jerky was too hard for me, but the soft jerky was perfect. I picked up some of the brisket jerky, the Japanese jerky, and their original jerky. Some of the items they make themselves, some of the items are brought in, but everything is good. They also have wines, sauces, condiments, the works. They also have a full on lunch counter, and in the back, for the kids or the kids at heart, they even have classic video games. Not only donkey Kong, but things such as pole position! They are $.50 now, instead of just a quarter, though.... I had the mushroom Swiss burger, with coleslaw, instead of fries on the side. The burger was done, medium, as I asked, and it was delicious! The coleslaw was very good, it was lightly dressed, and it was like a vinegar type dressing. The dressing wasn't too strong, it was just right. Lunch was a very large portion. Besides the jerky, I also got a blueberry sausage, and a chicken apple sausage, those are going to be excellent. For the quality of the things that you get get, the prices are reasonable. I will continue to stop here whenever I am passing through town. Thank you.
