I can't say enough good things about Old Agness Store. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place is run with genuine care and love by Steve and his wife. They've created something truly special here in Gold Beach. We started with the two meat, two cheese charcuterie board paired with two glasses of Merlot. The ambience was perfect, simple seating with little tables up against the windows, the natural light, and even a piano tucked inside gave it a cozy, thoughtful feel. After enjoying our wine and food, we browsed the shop, which is stocked with fresh, locally sourced foods... a rarity these days when so many places only carry overly processed, preservative-loaded snacks. I was thrilled to find clean, high-quality options for the road: - Chipotle Infused Smoking Hot Honey - Rosemary & Olive Oil Crisps + Artisan Crisps - Oregon Hazelnut Toffee - A local 2013 Pinot Noir - Stout Mustard Sauce - Pineapple Habanero Jelly - A couple of incredible little chocolate squares made with just organic cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, and roasted coffee. The staff was genuinely friendly, and Steve took the time to chat with us and even recommended a local pizza spot in town with good beer, something we're now really looking forward to. This place is exactly what I've been searching for: a spot where you can enjoy great food, wine, and warm company, and also pick up wholesome, delicious items to take home or on the road. Old Agness Store is a gem. I'll absolutely be back.

New location and love the vibes. I think the new spot will be great for them and I hope their business flourishes. I got the "Featherless Owl" sandwhich (turkey provolone) and added pesto, made it a melt. it was really good, only critique is something was lacking salt on the sandwhich. The bread is top tier, and they use high quality meats and cheeses. My husband got the "Foghorn Leghorn" sandwhich and he also loved it. The people working there are super sweet and very welcoming. Highly recommend!

We came in on a Sunday rainy day. It's a bday tradition to come and get some blondies. I ordered the two meat and two cheese charcuterie board. It was so special because we were able to get a variety of the delicious products that they sell. The spicy strawberry jam was great as well as the chipotle mustard we paired the charcuterie with. Steve and Michele were so sweet and had samples of their new flavors of blondies. The coffee and coconut were so good. The service was special, detailed, and very welcoming. They specialize in gluten free goods. We love coming to the old Agnes store to buy local goods. It's such a cozy store and we always feel welcome. Thanks for making my bday special.

What a gift it is that Steve and Michele moved the Old Agness Store from upriver Agness into Gold Beach! During my yearly visits to the Rogue River, one of my main stops is a visit at OAS to shop and visit with my dear friends. A new item this year is the Kissing Rock coffee. I brought some back home with me, along with lots of other goodies, and I declare it is tasty! Nice new find. There is now more seating in the cosy shop for enjoying the gluten free menu. The tuna salad and mortadella sandwich were both top of the line yummy. Well worth a stop. Maybe Michele would even play her piano for you, if you're very lucky.

We ordered the turkey soup, it had NO FLAVOR OF ANY KIND. NO SALT.TASTED LIKE WATER. Then to top that off we bought cheddar cornbread, it was sooo dry and tasteless. And last the desserts. The cherry one was bitter tasting not creamy at all, dry. I could not eat the small bite I took. Somebody was very OFF on the recipes that day !!!

I'm glad we got to make the trip up here today to visit and order some food! The ambiance was cool and calm, and not busy when we came. We were able to sit on a couch near the warm fire and enjoy our Southern Sweet Tea and Hibiscus Lemonade -- both delicious! We took our food to-go and it was still warm and tasty after the 30min trip back! The menu changes often, but it's always a pleasant surprise and healthy!! I ordered the "Marry Me" Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and peas -- I could eat this everyday. The portion was generous and filling! My grandma and boyfriend ordered the Buddha Bowls, one chicken and one steak. The Buddha bowls are always on the menu, and are the best I have had, and quite generous proportions. The Island Punch is delicious, and if you prefer tea, I have heard great reviews on those as well. On occasion, if they have the Carrot Punch or Southern Banana Pudding, I highly recommend grabbing some. The ambiance is warm and friendly, and you can eat in or take out, whichever you prefer. Chef Chris and Jackie are so kind, and this place is such a great addition to the town.

At check out I requested plastic bags, bagged light and explained I have a really bad back. I had 4 total bags, each heavier than the last. she had to rebag into 6 bags that I could lift. Took a 5lb bag of potatoes out of one. She tossed the last bag up onto the debit station and asked "Is that light enough?" She put a big bottle of sauce on top of a bunch of bananas. Im always courteous to checkers, so when I was done paying I nicely said "" Thanks for your help". She glared at me. The next time I go into Ray's and she's the only checker, I'll leave and head to the competitor.

First, this location is TINY, was poorly stocked, and the produce was bad. While shopping, I took the last of a LOT of items I was looking for, and didn't find a bunch of things I'd assume I could find at a Ray's. I also went in on a Sunday afternoon and shopped for our family for the week. Apparently they don't like that at this location. I had a full cart and when I pulled up to the check out, the cashier literally looked at my cart and said "oh sh*t" and started loading my groceries. It was a full cart but not ridiculously full. It was groceries for four for a week for pete's sake. The lady who got in line behind me also saw my cart and immediately began screaming across the store for another checker to open up. Someone came to help bag my groceries and literally just threw things into bags. Like....loaf of bread on the bottom under three cans and a half gallon of juice. Just crazy. Got to our rental and had to immediately throw away half the produce because it was bad/moldy/rotten once we opened it up. The pricing was SO WEIRD. $11 siracha and $2 mayo. I have no idea what the heck is going on there. All in all, if you need a quick basic, sure....stop in here I guess. If you need to actually shop or you want any reliable selection.....go elsewhere.
