The Lamb Rogan Josh was tender and rich with beautifully developed spices, while the Pistachio Chicken Korma was creamy, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. Every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. From the first bite to the last, the food was so good, we ordered an entire second meal to go. The service was warm and attentive, and you can tell there's real pride behind the food. We'll definitely be back to try even more of the menu. Highly recommend! We almost ordered curry, but our server suggested that since we were dining in, we should experience the tandoor instead. That recommendation made all the difference. We started with fresh papad and three house chutneys, and I highly recommend trying the hot masala tea. If you enjoy a mild chai, you'll probably love it as much as I did. One tip: if you're not a fan of cilantro, let them know when you order. They use it generously as a fresh garnish, and it's easy to leave off if that's not your thing. My husband ordered the Chicken Tikka, and I had the Tandoori Dark Meat. Both arrived on sizzling cast-iron platters straight from the clay oven, still steaming when they reached our table and long into devouring the deliciousness. The chicken was unbelievably juicy with just the right amount of char and smoky flavor. The garlic naan was fresh from the oven, perfectly blistered, and absolutely addictive. What impressed us most wasn't just the food... it was the people. It genuinely felt like everyone working there wanted us to love our meal. Multiple staff members checked on us, answered questions, made recommendations, and seemed sincerely proud of every plate that came out of the kitchen. You could tell they cared about the food they were serving and wanted guests to experience it at its best. We learned they also own Masala House (Six Forks & Millbrook) and Bombay Café in Brier Creek. While it's nice to know there are other locations, we'll happily be regularly patronizing the Smithfield location. This restaurant has earned a permanent spot in our dinner rotation. 6/28/26 Visit- My daughter and I were trying to find somewhere to eat after a long day of shopping . She found Curry Corner, which I had bookmarked to try as it is downtown and not far from my job, but never had a chance yet. We came mid day and it wasn't busy at all, however as we were dining, it picked up. It's a small quaint spot but the aroma of spices hits you soon as you walk in which is a plus. We looked over the menu which is pretty extensive. I opted for House Special Biryani, garlic naan and she stayed true with the Tikka Masala (chicken). Food is prepared extremely fresh so don't expect a big rush. While you wait, they provide complimentary papad with various dips. Service was very pleasant as the servers continued to check in on us to make sure we were good and everything was ok. Our food arrived and did not disappoint. Very fresh, flavorful and plentiful! The house special biryani included chicken, shrimp and lamb. He advised that it's already spicy however you can opt to go up spice levels. I decided on a 2 plus which gave it a bit more kick. My daughter decided on a spice level 4 (I believe) for her entree. Reasonable prices and plenty of leftovers. We will definitely return! read more

Curry Corner is a new addition to Downtown Smithfield. It has been in businesses about two weeks now. I think it is the only restaurant in Smithfield with Indian cuisine. It is open for both lunch and dinner. You can dine in at one of the tables, at the bar, or outside. The restaurant is on the smaller side with eight tables, making it feel cozy. The restaurant has a nice ambiance with the decor, the Bollywood music, and dancing on the television above the bar. As street parking is no longer allowed in Downtown Smithfield, that is not an option. The restaurant does have its own parking lot. It is just a little confusing to find the entrance. I saw the lot but couldn't figure out how to get to it. But I did ask, and you access the lot from the Wells Fargo entrance. When I entered Curry Corner, I was allowed to choose my own table before the restaurant filled up. I was served complimentary papadam, a crispy bread, and three dipping sauces. I forgot what they were, but I liked the green and tomato ones. I was given some time to look over the menu. The menu offers a variety of items, from butter chicken to tikka masala to tandoori to korma to vindaloo to karahi to saag. The menu has vegetarian and meat dishes. I went with the shrimp korma as I didn't think I had tried that dish before. I also got an order of garlic naan. I ordered a mango lassi, and they brought out another complimentary dish of rice pudding. I did enjoy the shrimp korma. The flavors and portions were good. It was a creamy sauce with nuts and raisins. I had to take some of the dish to go. I left it in the hotel refrigerator, so I am disappointed I didn't get my leftovers. I considered driving back to get it, but it was likely tossed during the time I drove home. So that just means I need to return to Curry Corner for more. The garlic naan was perfect for dipping into the korma. The mango lassi and rice pudding were also a great part of my meal. The spice level can be ordered from 1 to 5. I ordered a 2, and it was a little spicier than I expected, but not so spicy that I couldn't enjoy it. The service was very friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in the door. I liked that the atmosphere was relaxed and I was not rushed. Payment can also be made at the table. Curry Corner is a great addition to Smithfield. read more

When I say that I witness the best customer service at this restaurant I mean it! People was coming in with list of lunch orders and they went out of the way to grab the list and write everyone's name of the order so there's no confusion. I loved the attention to detail I saw, from the food and cleanliness. All the food was cooked to order and tasted delicious. Prices was great. The food was absolutely delicious. They brought out lentil bread with various sauces as a complementary starter. We had the chicken Mo-Mo, if you like chicken dumplings I highly recommend. My husband ordered the lamb kabob with cheese naan, it was amazing. They even brought out a second thing of cheese naan because they felt the first one they sent out was not up to their standards even though the first one was delicious the second one was indeed somehow better. The Chicken chili Karahi, utterly fantastic, perfect rice and of course crispy garlic Naan to scoop up all the delectable sauce the chicken is swimming in. If I could jump into the sauce and just swim in it, I would. Yes!!! It's that good. It's reasonably priced and the waiters cater to your every need. The chef cooks everything to your individual spice level, and you are left stuffed and satisfied as a pig in mud! The food is so good, you just might slap your mama. This was the best Indian food I've ever had!! The shrimp tikka masala was to die for, and my parents loved the chicken tikka too. We stopped here on the way back from the beach. It was some 85-90 degrees outside, and they let our dogs sit on the patio with us. They were very sweet to them too. It would've been unsafe to leave them in the car due to the heat. Five of us went on a Sunday evening and all five of us were totally impressed by the service and food. Nisan, our server, was the best. He made sure we understood the menu, were happy with our food and was just great helping overall, as well as being a joy to talk with. They offer vegetarian options, which was great for one in our party. My youngest son said it was the first time he had heard me be totally pleased with a restaurant in some time.
