I've been here twice and the food is good. When I don't want to drive too far for my Indian "fix," this is where I go. The service is good and the frosted mugs a plus! My usual go-to choices are saagwala and Chettinad. Their Indian hot is not quite as spicy as I'm used to, but it is still good. The simosas aren't as flavorful as I had hoped. read more

Thankful that there's an authentic Indian cuisine. This place is legit! Coming from California and visited New York. This place is soooooo goooodd. Be careful of the spiciness tho. When they mean Indian Spicy. Better believe it. read more

Curries - 72 Shrimp Tikka Masala and 56 Lamb Madras Haywards 5000 22OZ. - Indian Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

Really good food. An extensive menu. Every thing I've had in several visits was quite tasty. And, I took half of it home.

We ordered butter chicken, chicken fried rice, chicken tiki masala and a lamb dish. Food was promptly served and it was delicious. I had butter chicken, the sauce was super creamy and flavorful and chicken juicy and tender. The place I clean and staff courteous and attentive. We will be back. read more

As our go to place was closed figured we'd try Curries as it had a pretty good rating on Yelp. Nope, companion an I both ordered the mixed meat special. Couldn't tell what type of meat we were eating. All of the meats were just about like beef jerky except drier. Service was ok although the young girl who was waiting on us seemed more interested in her phone than her customers. We had to ask for everything although it wasn't that busy in the place. The best part of this place is the ambiance but alas one can't eat that. Not impressed and probably will not be back. read more

Visited this establishment on a Monday eve just a week ago and well was expecting better. Ordered the mixed meat plate and was disappointed by the meats served. Very dry and not much taste. Surprised by this as the reviews were pretty good but unfortunately I did not experience this. Service was lacking in that the young lady waiting on us was more interested in her phone than in waiting on us. Don't get me wrong she was pleasant but we had to flag her down to get more water and anything else we wanted. Place wasn't that busy so kind of surprised by this. Companion also ordered the mixed meat special and had the same comments as myself. Hard to tell which meat was which as they were all overcooked. Best thing about this place is ambiance but for myself and companion that's where it ended. read more

Decent Indian food - definitely not my favorite but ok. Server was great except they had her on so many tables and then sat her with a large table so service was really slow. Old Vietnamese restaurant - they definitely didn't change much. Looks the same. read more

I was Curry-ious about this place and glad I tried it. This Indian restaurant is a gem. Naan can compare to the quality. The flavors are incredibly rich, well seasoned and portions are abundant. The vegetable samosa is crispy, perfectly flavored, and the sauces they serve on the side were incredible. Vegan options are clearly labeled on their menu! We ordered online got takeout and it was worth the wait. We ordered: Spring Roll, Gulab Jamun, Tofu Delight Special, Chana Masala, Vegetable Korma, Vegetable Phaal, & Veg Samosa. Delicious food and great portions! Highly recommended. They are kind of a big daal! read more

We had a really good meal the tandoori is amazing with great flavor and lots of veggies along with the salmon. Really high quality Indian food with great flavor. Service was really attentive. read more

Man what an awesome place. WE stopped in after finding this hidden gem in the Hot & New section of Yelp and boy were we pleased. From the moment we stepped in we were given some awesome customer service hands down. Our waitress quickly sat us at our cozy table and even helped us out with recommendations from the menu. We started off with the Keema Naan fresh from the tandoor oven to your table. I have to say some of the best naan ever and packed with tender lamb, and the dipping sauce on the side was flavor packed and it also complimented the naan perfectly. For our mains I choose the lamb vindaloo which had the perfect spice level to make your taste buds happy as they could be, and the Mrs went with the Neelagiri Korma of which she could not stop raving about. It was a few notches down on the spice level, but the curry flavor was very well balanced. To top it all off we chose to chase down our tasty meal with a some authentic Kingfisher beers which came with some perfect frosty mugs. Overall we very pleased with our entire dining experience and I am positive we will be back to check out the buffet as mentioned by our awesome waitress. That way we can try several of there other options. So if your taste buds are in the mood for some flavor rich food from teh east make it a point to go and check them out I am sure you and your taste buds will be more than pleased... read more

My husband, son and I decided to try this restaurant out and what a great choice! I really wish I took pictures, all I can say is the food was FABULOUS! After spending some time overseas, its nice to be able to come back to the states and find real authentic Indian food. On top of that, our waitress Mikayla was outstanding to say the least! She suggested the Indian Cabernet and it did not disappoint. Loved the smokey flavor, I ended up buying a bottle to take home. Will definitely be back again with the fam! read more

Yummy food, great wait staff, friendly family owned business. I can't wait to visit again.

We were tourists in Clearwater and were looking for a nice Indian restaurant. We did a takeout and one of the owners told us to try their buffet. The buffet had a good spread including chaat, tandoori appetizers, samosas, French fries, bajias and chicken 65. All curries tasted good and the biryani was yummilicious. We met with one of the owners and he seemed very genuine and someone who wishes to serve good Indian food.. wishing you all the very best !! read more

Best Indian food in the Tampa Bay area. Highly recommended. The buffet is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Very good service atmosphere.

I've ordered on Uber eats at least 4 times and the food is always fresh, delicious and flavorful. Chicken biryani, goat nihari, chili chicken all amazing. On our last order we forgot to order naan and to our surprise they actually sent free naan with it. Restaurants now a days don't go above and beyond but I think they really appreciate your business. Everything is always packaged well no spills or mess. Great food, customer service. Def must try! read more

Great food and service! Both my husband and I loved the food quality and the service. The dining area is very nice. This was just our second time dining here and we will be back!! read more

Be careful that you pay attention to people coming in. At busy restaurants there is always a chance to drop the ball. Luckily, I was seated. I went cafeteria style with another straggler, who I didn't know. The food was spectacular. It's been open eight months. I doubt that they can keep the quality up. If they did, they would be the first. What usually happens is that they get consistently busy and the quality starts to slide so subtly. Especially buffets, right, where people are getting their money's worth even as the quality slides. Everything was salted, spiced and cooked to perfection (except the super spicy stuff, but native Indians like it that way, and I know to steer clear). read more

Truly authentic and the kitchen is spot on. We had lentils, the samosas, and the shrimp vindaloo is my favorite. They have to give us a verbal warning that the dish is spicy hot before they put it on the order. It was hot, and I think I can order the hotter one next. Service is fantastic and the place is top rate. read more

Excellent food and service - so glad to have them in Palm Harbor! And a buffet...? I hen is the last time you saw a full and complete buffet in the past 4 years? Well the buffet is back and it's fabulous at Curries. They must have had at least 20 entrees, 10 desserts, salads, chutney, tamarind sauce, mint sauce, mix pickle, naan - all fresh and delicious. I didn't take pictures of the buffet as it was very crowded and you couldn't really see the food (we were told there might be a better design coming for the buffet). read more

Last evening my constant companion and I chose to have Indian food for dinner. We have scouted around many Indian restaurants and we're pleased and the next time not so much. There are a few elements we consider when we dine in or take out: Food quality; reports from other diners; consistency in product; a helpful, informed staff that is willing to help make a choice; and lastly a positive health inspection. Some of the places we enjoyed in the past are in the rear view mirror until they get their health standards in order. So, last night we tried a few items, samosas, the Dal Soup, Daal Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala, buttered naan and of course, for dessert, Gulab Jamun. I knew since constant companion wasn't talking, I knew she loved the food. The food was nicely packed, the items labeled, the order was verified to ensure that it was complete. I have to say that the sauces from curries was absolutely delicious and cried out to be consumed with well baked, non greasy naan. It was a great experience, I know that my familiy will be regulars and I urge you to also try curries. Yes I know that people believe that it's all curry and food that is one step away from an inferno. You could not be more misinformed than that. The meats are all delicious, the veggies are well done and nicely prepared and you can get them in different spice levels (mild is a good option to start with). There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of as to flavors. And while not many talk about it, try dessert...I love the rice pudding and of course the honey balls. Enjoy and get over to curries. read more

Saw this new restaurant a few days ago. My friends and I decided to try it out! And I'm glad we did! We were promptly greeted and seated. Nice clean dining room! Our server was welcoming and prompt. We ordered our food. Excellent flavors. Very fresh! I had the red snapper. Excellent flavor and texture. I also had the Roti. Perfectly prepared. My friends enjoyed their dishes and Garlic Naan. We highly recommend this place. The server, she was great! Give it a try. I'm confident you'll enjoy this welcome addition to our culinary choices. read more

This is my third time here. Great tasting and fresh. Buffet on Fri. And weekends. Excellent service.

Good food. Nice options on the buffet. A little slow on service to get used plates picked uo.....if at all ...and napkins seemed to be small cocktail napkins but I can overlook that with the quality of food. I will visit again! read more

Fabulous. So glad to have an authentic Indian restaurant open locally. Large enough selection of delicious food to keep everyone happy.

I went to the buffet there yesterday with 3 friends. We all really enjoyed our food . Very nice variety. Everything was delicious and authentic . I loved the samosas, vegetable and chicken biryani, dal, and naan. I ate way too much as I wanted to sample most everything The service was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant itself was quiet and nicely arranged. Only requests would be desserts as we would have liked mango pudding or rice pudding. I will definitely go back. read more

The food is amazing, the naan bread is so fresh, the butter chicken is probably the one of the best I've had

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere! I've eaten East Indian food in cities all over the country. @curries is without a doubt the very best I have ever eaten! Garlic shrimp, chicken mango, butter chicken, garlic nan, plain nan, vegetable samosas. Super reasonably priced. Excellent value for the money. And our servers were excellent!!! Curries is a long-awaited addition to the Clearwater International Cuisine landscape. Stopped in on Sunday for the buffet. The food was fresh, savory, and tangy - the way great Indian food should be. I loved the spicy flavor of their samosas, and the infused aromatics of their biriyani were wonderful. If you have been craving authentic Indian food served in a pleasant atmosphere with quick and friendly service, Curries is the answer to your prayers I can't wait to go back and try their tandoori and their palak paneer. read more

I am not very familiar with Indian cuisine so the assistance from our servers was a BIG part of our enjoyment. Our server explained and suggested the dishes we ordered and brought us yummy sauces for our meal. The tandoori chicken was very good, not highly spiced but very flavorful. read more

Indian food, out has always been a let down. Always better off eating at a friends home who is sharing food from the region they were born or even taking a stab at it yourself. Curries exceeded my expectations. The food was spectacular. We tried various dishes, vegetarian, chicken, and even goat, all were so good that I am sure we will be returning for more. The menu was large and gave plenty of room to explore beyond the usual butter chicken and tikka masala. I can not say enough about how positive our experience was. I have tried every local Indian restaurant, so if enjoy Indian cuisine, then I think this will be your new favorite place. read more

I've had their catering many times. The food is always fresh and well prepared. Very authentic as well. Looking forward to checking out their restaurant for the weekend buffet. read more

This is bar none the best Indian buffet anywhere in Pinellas or Tampa period. I did the weekend lunch buffet and it had a great selection of food and they did a good job of refilling the trays even though they were fully packed (with a wait at the door) which is a good sign since the food is rotated very often. People want and love buffets and do not care about the corona virus anymore so this was a smart business move. I would have gave it 5 stars but the drinks took a long time to arrive and the price is not cheap but nothing is cheap anymore. I will DEFINETLY be back and my wife loves this place as much as I do. read more
