They've totally revamped the interior to a much higher finish than the previous owners. It's now pretty upscale and clean inside. The service was wonderful! I think I've tried most all of the Indian restaurants in the area and this one is the best. Treat yourself and see if you agree.

About 11:10 we knocked on the door and Joshi came to tell us the restaurant doesn't open until 11:30 (There were no posted hours on the door), but He did Allow us to wait inside. We checked our confirmation email, Yelp, & Google and every one of them listed 11:00 am as the opening time. Joshi told us the Actual opening hours are 11:00 am Mon-Thur and 11:30 am Fri-Sun. Dave W then showed Joshi our confirmation email for 11am and asked if the special dishes we were promised were being prepared. Joshi knew nothing of any special requests and informed us that 2 of the promised dishes weren't even on the menu. We sat at our table and discussed what we should do since Dave W's dietary needs had no room for error. At this point we were prepared to leave and take our business elsewhere and Dave W went to inform our host of our decision. This is where everything got turned around for the better. It turns out that Joshi was not on the need to know list for our reservation. The chef had received a copy of the email and was prepared to make the dishes We were promised to Dave W's dietary requirements. We got to meet Roni the chef and he promised us a fantastic meal. AND Roni delivered! Dave W got his dietary needs met and I chose the fantastic Lunch Buffet ($22.99). All the lunch buffet items were Indian Medium heat (Which is the equivalent of Italian HOT), plus there were peppers and sauces available on the buffet if you want to dial up the heat. All the buffet items were labeled to make selection easy and I was very satisfied with my meal. Dave W got his special dishes and ordered an insane amount of food to go (I had to help him carry it all out to his car). What could have been a disaster turned out to be a very good meal. Because of the initial frustration I can't in all honesty award Aroma Indian cuisine 5 stars. They lost 1 star due to the hours of operation snag and the reservation foul-up. Then the food - bland, bad, and not fresh. The paneer was tough, the chicken chewy, and all greasy in a very bad way. This is in comparison to our previous meals as well as our experience eating in some acclaimed Indian restaurants. Service was abysmal. The staff grouped by the station without purpose - no one asking if we wanted drinks, how our meal was, or even offering the bill. Given this, it's highly unlikely that we'd ever try it again. The experience was insulting regardless of cost. PS they remove bad reviews from Google. As I posted there, I saw 4 other 1 star reviews for today and now they are gone
