We were a table of 6. We went for the weekend lunch buffet. First of all, the service was very good. Friendly and very helpful. This was my first time eating Indian food. So as a novice, I was a little in the dark. The staff was very helpful explaining all of the dishes on the buffet. And there was a large selection of options to choose from. The restaurant was very clean and had attractive decor. As for the food, I loved it. This is a great way to expose oneself to a new food culture. The buffet let's one try a lot of options to see what one likes, or does not like. The lunch buffet was very reasonable also, $19.99 plus the cost of drinks. I will definitely be back. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures. read more

I visited Curries for there buffet lunch on a Sunday with a group of 9. We had a reservation and all got there at 11:00 when the restaurant opened. The food was just coming out when we were seating at a big round semiprivate table. We went up to get our food immediately after our drinks were ordered. Plates, silverware, napkins are all at the buffet. The buffet at a really good selection of dishes including butter chicken, chicken 65, chicken biryani, goat, eggplant, cauliflower and many more. The vegetarian options are on one side and non vegetarian on the other as well as a section of vegan dishes. They also had chai tea. All if the food I tried was excellent and I did not get to try everything. I was way too full. You pay at the exit which is easy enough. I highly recommend. read more

This is a great spot if you are looking for a new place to try. The restaurant is very clean, has plenty of seating, and a big parking lot. The staff is incredible and they go above and beyond for their customers. The food is phenomenal and the prices are affordable. Every single thing we ordered was good, but the mango lassi is the best we've ever had. It is a 10 out of 10 experience. read more

We went to Curries last evening - a very disappointing experience. The samosa appetizer was tough and chewy - served on a plate with wilted cabbage ; vegetable biryani was rice and potatoes; sagg paneer was watery and tasteless; none of the food was fresh - all in all, not good. We won't be back. read more

Stopped in on a Monday evening for some dinner. My daughter was in town and she has never had Indian food. She ordered the biryani. Its almost like Indias version of Chinese fried rice. I ordered the tiki masala and my wife got chicken madras and we sort of shared everything. We got 3 orders of Naan bread because we love dipping the bread in the sauce.. I had never had madras before and it was great. I really like coconut curries. The service is always really good and this place has a nice vibe. Not impressed with the take out. Nothing special about the dishes we ordered will not order again!

I am a big fan of Indian food. I will tell you I can handle the heat, but when it comes to Indian food.. it's a different type of heat. Curries food is very good and their service is top. Their tablet has photos, so if you need to see what you are ordering.. it's a big plus. Be careful going there due to construction. You might need to do a U-Turn coming from Clearwater and the sign is not that big. Indian food can be underrated... there are the typical dishes, but I advise you to try new things. My advise for any authentic food is to ask the servers. Tell them what you wanna experience. Most of the time they can help. read more

We have now eaten(take-out) at Curries, 4 times. The food is good, unless it isn't. The most recent pick-up, we enjoyed everything except the Samosa(which we won't be trying again). The dishes that did put smiles on our faces and tasted yummy were the tika masala, korma and the aloo ghobi. Sauces were flavorful and the depth was not only on a much better level than previous experiences at Curries, but tey can compete with some of the better Indian restaurants in the big cities. We will update again...I'm sure. The choices in this part of town are slim. read more

C A I C is a very nice Indian restaurant located on US Highway 19N which we visited Sunday, and enjoyed their buffet. The buffet is offered on Friday, and Sunday from 11 and 2. Curries offered a very nice variety, of both vegetarian, and non-vegetarian options. The photos on their website are a little misleading which shows more space in the buffet aisles than there really is which can be a little jammed traversing the buffet area. The only other slight complaint that I have is the food could have been served at a warmer temperature, other than that everything was tasty, and I would in the future stop in to give dinner a try... read more

Where once stood one of our favorite Vietnamese places, now stands out favorite Indian place. We are absolutely happy to have this quality place close by. We stopped in on Friday evening for dinner and the place was busy. From the moment we opened the door and were greeted by the most heavenly scent of authentic Indian cuisine to the happy sound of customers talking excitedly about the food, I was excited! Our server was absolutely delightful. We asked a couple of questions, about heat and flavor, and then placed an order for our apps we got the Samosas and the chili pepper pakora. I cant lie, the food was the best we've had outside San Francisco, and we know we will come back ( 3x this week alone) My favorite is their butter chicken. Its absolutely made fresh, the touch of cream you see added makes all the difference. My husband likes their indian Hot Shrimp something i have forgotten now, but he always sweats and loves it. This is officially our favorite Indian restaurant in the Tampa area. read more

This food here is truly incredible! My second visit coming to Curries and I have to say it's always a wonderful experience with food! Every dish is so well balanced and FULL of flavor. Started off with a mango lassi thats built with a beautiful consistency. The tandoori chicken is truly authentic perfectly charred and tender meat it's so satisfying. The biryani is also a star with tender meat and beautifully fluffed rice and of course all the spices are greatly paired. We always leave happy read more

We went for the buffet as we've missed having these since Covid. There were a variety of vegan options which was nice. We went right when they opened hoping the food would be fresh and hot. It was fresh but surprisingly it wasn't as hot in temp as we had hoped. Overall the food was good and they had labels as they got things set up. The dining room is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and pleasant. read more

This was our first visit to their lunch buffet ($18.99). In short, it was awesome! The restaurant is located where the old Queen Pho/Famous Dave's BBQ used to be on the west side of US19 south of Curlew. The interior has been nicely updated. The lunch buffet had a lot more to offer than what we were expecting. There were three different rices that were from plain to quite spicy. There were plenty of chicken, lamb and fish offerings. All of the food items were beautifully presented. The most amazing part of our lunch was the outstanding service that we received. Everyone was friendly and we were literally greeted by all of the staff. Our water and iced teas were refreshed without having to flag someone down. Absolutely give Curries at try. You will not be disappointed. read more

Our first time here and had a great experience! I don't eat much Indian food but wanted to try with a friend who's been to India many times. The restaurant is very nice, culturally decorated in good taste. The service from Mars was perfect! She gave us good suggestions. We had the diff naan breads, the cauliflower and another app. They were all delicious and I'd go back for that! All of our meals were delicious and fun to be able to try them all. Our chicken and veggie meals came with rice and plenty of it. Colorful, warm, interesting food and yummy spices. Enough to bring some back home. It was delicious reheated too. Approved by my friend who loves Indian food and had been there several times. She did mention the meat ratio here is less than in India. I'd only suggest the website to have pics or Yelp to include the menu so we can easily add it. We will go back and have already started sharing. read more

I just got take out based on rave reviews from a Facebook group. I ordered butter chicken and garlic naan. I pick it up at the time it says it will be ready and it feels cold from outside the bag. I get home and it is not even warm. I open the bag with naan that was $4.99 and it's one small piece of naan cut into 4. Seriously? I ordered medium spice for my chicken and there is no spice at all. Tell me you put my order together from your buffet without telling me. SO disappointing!!!!! read more

On Friday Saturday and Sunday they run a buffet for lunch. There was a pretty good assortment of items down two rows of tables. The food was good but I can't call it great. The buffet was worth every bit of thirteen to fifteen dollars. Unfortunately, the charge was nineteen dollars and ninety nine cents. The dining rooms were attractive enough and the servers were pleasant enough. I just don't see a reason to return for a twenty dollar lunch buffet. There are too many better ways to spend twenty dollars at lunch. read more

Excellent Indian food! Everything was labeled, which made selection at the luncheon buffet easy. I only took small tastes at first - I can't eat anything too spicy. Good food at the buffet today. All the food had unique flavors, the hallmark of a good Indian restaurant. Particularly enjoyed the curries and the spicy eggplant. Staff kept the buffet clean and restocked. Why not five stars? The naan was dry, because it had been left out for more than 10 minutes (naan is picky that way!). Also the paper napkins are the tiny folded ones they have at ice cream shops. Too small for dinner! We'll be back for the good food. read more

Just had a delicious lunch at Curries. I used to love to come here when it was a Vietnamese restaurant, but am glad to say that it is now a completely delicious Indian restaurant. My go to order is always a lamb or goat dish and always, always saag paneer. Both were delicious and I am looking forward to eating the leftovers. Also had garlic naan (which I prefer to rice when eating Indian food) and it was yummy with crispy charred edges.) As for all the condiments, they did not push me to purchase these-- I just like to order condiments at an Indian restaurant and then take them home to make bowls, etc. I particularly loved the Indian pickles here. I do wish, however, that you could order half sizes. Even if eating in restaurant, that's a lot of condiment for a single order. Very excited to have Curries in our neighborhood! read more

Welcome Curries! This is a great addition to the community. I wish Yelp let us give half-stars because this is a 4.5. As we entered for lunch today we were immediately greeted & seated by a friendly waitress. Throughout the meal different employees checked on us. This place gets the highest marks for service. They were sincerely friendly, caring, & helpful. Today's lunch offer was a large buffet. The offerings were plentiful & the food was good. So much variety. Examples included Butter Chicken, Chicken Tandoori, Curried Chicken, Goat Vindaloo, Biryani Rice, Paneer, Chana, Naan, etc. I have never tried goat before, but the Goat Vindaloo won me over. The only reason I am holding back from 5 stars is that I've indeed had even better tasting Indian food elsewhere. But 4.5 stars ain't bad read more
