In preparing for a recent trip, I was surprised to learn that American Express had closed all their local offices. I knew ordering at the bank was a bad idea (expensive/time consuming), I explored other options. Learning about Euro Exchange through a friend. I followed up by calling them and was happily surprised to speak to a friendly and professional employee on the phone. She explained to me that there was no fee for the exchange and told me the exchange rate of the day, which was fantastic. She asked how much I needed and told me it was in stock. In person, they were equally as friendly and professional. Why oh why didn't I know about this place years ago??? This will definitely be my "go to" currency exchange store from now on. The lady was very friendly and professional. But, when I heard their rate, I was shocked! I hesitated to exchange my money here. But she told me it would be better than doing at the airport. So, I exchanged only $40 (I was going to exchange $100 originally). Once I got to the Bogota airport, there was a money exchange booth and their rate was a lot better than this place. I am so glad that I didn't exchange $100 worth of my money. My Colombian friends asked me how much was my rate so I told them...they were really shocked to hear and couldn't believe it. I think this place is a good place to get a little exchange to get through a day in the country where you are traveling to. They provide you a very quick service! But I don't recommend to exchange whole a lot! The local airport has a better rate - and if you can use your ATM card internationally, it is a not cheaper to do so.
