When it comes to currency conversion, this is the best deal in Miami. The rates are lower here than every other place in the area even if it's just by a tad bit. Obviously, coming to downtown requires patience during certain hours of non stop gridlock but it also can be a quick stop during other times. After my horrid experience at another location mildly comparable to their rates, I came here and really saw the difference in service. Not only did I walk away with more bang for my buck, but I was a hop and skip away from the airport to catch my flight. They're open late and actually answer the phone which helps address concerns regarding specific exchange rates offered on certain currencies. As always, these rates fluctuate but they still maintain the best rates in all of Miami. Even if you pull out extra, if you come back with leftover funds you can simply convert them back to dollars here and save what you would've spent at the airport. It's a solid choice. For many years, when traveling abroad, I would exchange dollars at the American Express office. Really, it was out of convenience because although the rate was decent, there was a fee attached. In preparing for a recent trip, I was surprised to learn that American Express had closed all their local offices. I knew ordering at the bank was a bad idea (expensive/time consuming), I explored other options. Learning about Euro Exchange through a friend. I followed up by calling them and was happily surprised to speak to a friendly and professional employee on the phone. She explained to me that there was no fee for the exchange and told me the exchange rate of the day, which was fantastic. She asked how much I needed and told me it was in stock. In person, they were equally as friendly and professional. Why oh why didn't I know about this place years ago??? This will definitely be my "go to" currency exchange store from now on. I called on Friday to find out if they exchanged Euros for dollars and they said yes, that they were open on Saturday and Sunday. I drove over 10 miles on Sunday and they would only sell $500 per person. I wanted to purchase $3500 of Euros and they did not sell me anymore. Several people went in after me to purchase...??? I even said why don't you sell $500 to me and $500 to my wife, and they said No because we were together! Do yourself a favor, and go next door to Miami Money Exchange. Two ladies behind the glass, and neither one was interested enough to look up from their computers to assist me. I informed them it was my first time exchanging currency (still didn't spark their interest). I asked about the card they advertise on their website--and was informed that they haven't offered that for months. I asked how much cash the ATM machine in their establishment offered, and how much it charges for withdrawals...nothing. I went on to ask if they knew of another ATM machine or bank nearby--slow nods no. I had enough--I walked next door, where I was immediately informed that there is a Chase bank two blocks down where I could withdraw up to $3,000 there without fees, and where I was treated from the moment I went in, till the moment I left, like a customer should be, always (same exchange rate too)!
