She leaned against the counter after it had been cleaned and her new black dress was ruined. We showed it to the manager on duty and she said that's too bad and said she would instruct the cleaners not to use bleach.... That was it! No offer to cover the cost of dying the dress, not a complimentary drink, or "dinner on us." I really love the Curious restaurants. I've only visited once and I am already a fan. I'm sure I will be returning to try other items on the menu. We sat in the front room with a view of the busy street corner. It was a beautiful day and a lot of people were out and about. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The location is great. The Borman, who has some fun drinks on it. And it also has a bartenders choice option. You tell them what you like and the bartender comes up with something for you. I did this and enjoyed a wonderful cosmopolitan. Went for dinner here the other night. Senoia was hopping but this place was dead...should have given me a hint. We got the seacutire for two. The shrimp were very good. The rest of it....eh. Found this restaurant on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised once we arrived! What a cool little downtown area, from the historic feel to the clean and upbeat vibe. Lots of cool stores and restaurants and this one was no exception. They had a bar area with full liquor selection, as well as a bright and clean very chic dining area. Me and my daughter had the Rangoon egg rolls for an appetizer. They were heavy on the cream cheese and not quite as flavorful as I would've liked, but they were hot and fresh and good nonetheless. Her French dip was good with fresh bread and a nice au jus. I had the steak frites medium rare and they came with fries and a chimichurri compound butter. We notice this place a month or so earlier when we were having lunch elsewhere in Senoia. My wife wanted to return to try it. We stopped by on a Friday night (early). We were able to park in the ample public lot just north of the building housing the restaurant. There were plenty of space around 5:30 p.m. Some (seemingly) homeless dude preceded us into the restaurant. They appeared to provide him with a soda and he soon wandered away. We were seated quickly. They had space when we arrived, but quickly filled up. The server got our drink orders. Our entrees came out a bit later. I enjoyed my French Dip and my wife liked her salmon. The lobster roll is really inconsistent. Last weekend, I wanted a lobster roll and was considering taking the trip into Atlanta. However, a quick Google search led me here. Placed a to-go order...best lobster roll I had in a while. They didn't make it to the house. Fast forward this weekend, got the exact order, yet dined in. The lobster roll was mid. Where last weekend's dish consisted of the lobster's tail and had a decent amount of aioli, today's roll was nothing but claw meat and pretty dry. It was the perfect combination of casual fun and high quality. We started off with their loaded fries. WOW. They were the best fries I've had in a long time. Covered with melted pimento cheese, crispy pancetta, and scallions...served with your choice of three house-made sauces. The thousand island was our favorite of the three we chose...kinda wished we'd even doubled up on it. It was that good, no shot at the others. Our entrees were great as well. The romesco sauce on the goat cheese gnudi was a little spicier than expected but super tasty. The chicken confit special was loaded with textures and flavors...I had to finish it, even though I was STUFFED already. We didn't have room for dessert, but I know they're freshly made in-house and sounded delicious. Next time! If you live in the area, you need to check this place out. This is my favorite place to go at Christmas time! The food is always yummy, but At Christmas they have an eggnog that is delicious! (And I'm not an eggnog fan). We go there multiple times during the Christmas season for some holiday cheer - however they recently fired/let the bartender go and another bar tender took over the eggnog recipe and it is terrible. It's no longer smooth and cold it's not just frothy and lukewarm and tastes like straight bourbon. For a long time tradition I'm sad to see this place go downhill!! So we have been coming to Curious since it opened and when Sunday Brunch became a thing, we were so excited. We have been going on Sunday 1-2 times a month. Recently they underwent a menu change, we lost a few of our go-tos but it was ok. We can adjust. But the past 3-4 times we have visited, we have had several issues. One time, one of our full meals was forgotten about. We waited patiently, hoping it was just a fluke. We finally had to say something and we had finished our meals by the time the other person got theirs. Food has been ok since. Today, our waitress, Alexis, could not have been any less enthused to be working. We got bottomless mimosas. They were great. We ordered our apps. They were great. Ordered our food and my meal, along with one other persons came out TOTALLY BURNT. When she came to ask how things were, we said "umm ok" and were brushed off when you could see we weren't really eating the food. When she came to pick up plates. She asked if we were done and I said "yea. It honestly wasn't very great and very burnt". Nothing was said by Alexis. We were basically ignored. Usually, a waitress would actually care and ask if there was anything they could do or if you wanted something else. Nope. She acted like she couldn't be inconvenienced more by us even speaking to her. So a $93 check, half of which was not touched. Once again, we had bottomless mimosas. Well, I had bottomless and my husband was deciding on if he wanted one or multiple. So when our check came out and I said something about him being charged for bottomless, she snarkily said "well they're $10 each so it really doesn't matter. It comes out to the same". They're actually $9 each and whole $2 isn't a make or break whatsoever, the attitude was absolutely unbelievable. Also, I was under the understanding that we could still get mimosas after checking out while we were talking. Nope. Alexis cashed out and put her backpack on and left. I have never been more disappointed in service. We keep coming back to make sure it wasn't an accidental issue but it seems to be continually declining. When we first started coming in, there was a line out the door and slammed at 11am. We have noticed it was less and less crowded and today, unfortunately, sealed the deal for us. Very sad about this. Stopped in for the last of happy hour yesterday. We've been several times now and enjoyed it. Fried green tomatoes are really good! The rest has started the downhill slide I'm afraid. Food feels and looks and tastes uninspired. Smoked bourbon drinks are a new addition. Unsolicited word of advice: Stop letting the glass sit directly on the charred wood! It puts a horrible bitter burnt flavor on the edge of the glass, which coincidentally is where I put my mouth. The atmosphere was nice, service was good, but the steak in the burrito was very chewy and long strips of it came out with each bite. I'm no chef but I would've probably cut the strips of steak shorter to keep that from happening. I sat with a party of 10 and 3 of us had the same dish and experienced the same problem. The food is amazing, the drinks are perfection, and the staff are top notch. We've never had a bad experience or meal at either location. Cant recommend this place enough! Their Bloody Mary's and bottomless mimosas make brunch even better. I love their chicken sandwich and we can't skip their Mac and cheese.
