When I booked my appointment Jessica was very helpful. During our experience there the staff members provided a great experience. They were all friendly and welcoming. The environment was very quite and relaxing. I got multiple service done. Everything I needed was in one place, from massages, Drysport, fillers, cryotherapy, blowout, haircut,food delivery, champagne, and a beautiful view. Mike was very sweet and made me and my bf feel comfortable during our first cryotherapy experience. Alexis did an amazing job on my lips (fillers) and Drysport. Erica gave me a new haircut and a blowout, I loved it. The couple massage was perfect. I felt like a new woman after I was done with all my services. I'm from out of town and was visiting a friend. She told me to check out the ocean yoga, so I booked a class. Unfortunately, due to weather the class was cancelled. Totally understand. However, what I don't understand is how rude the staff is in giving me a refund for the class they cancelled. After emails of me explaining that I don't live here and therefore cannot take the class at a later date I was just emailed back with the same line "You can take the class on another Sunday". Frustrating, right? So I called and was told that they understood and would refund me. A week later. No refund. I've called. Straight to voicemail. I've emailed. No answer. I just don't understand businesses that have no compassion or understanding for the customer. Obviously, if I could give less than 1 star I would. read more

While the setting is lovely, I don't plan to return. The manager/receptionist, Jolene, is very pleasant and adds to the nice atmosphere. My massage [with Deborah], however, was very mediocre and should have absolutely been better. I'm between a 3 and a 4 star here, but I bumped it up because Erin, the esthetician that did my eyebrow wax was so upbeat and friendly. I came here with a gift card, which was given to me a while back. I never really visit many spas, but I have an event coming up and wanted to get a brow wax. When I was up front to pay, the gift card was declined because the receptionist mentioned something about how they don't have the machine that can process the gift card, but they did at the other location. I would have to either go to their other location or warn them ahead of time if I'm planning on using it (which makes almost no sense to me). I was pretty disappointed and feel like this is something they should tell their guests on the phone when they're booking their appointment, not after all the services are performed. Now I had to pay out of pocket and am stuck with this gift card that I apparently won't be able to use unless I go to a specific location. In my opinion, if you don't want to accept gift cards, don't sell them in the first place. It seems a bit scammy to sell them and not accept it at certain locations. Other than that, my experience with Erin was fantastic. She is a bright and lovely individual and she did an amazing job with my brow wax. It was PERFECT. She was such a pleasure to talk to! I would definitely come back to her for my next visit. Brow wax (I just got cleanup) was $35 plus tip, which is on the higher end for a brow wax, but she uses a hard wax which didn't hurt at all, and their facilities are beautiful and clean. So this qualifies as a good review that didn't start out so good...and were it not for the incredible Kristy (at the front desk), things may have ended much differently. On Friday, April 22, I booked a blow-out appointment online (slightly after hours) for the next day (Sat April 23). It was an important appt because I had an event in Hollywood to attend on Sunday 4/24. But upon arrival, Kristy soon realized that the hair stylist had forgotten to check the "Booker" system, so she did not know about my appointment, and could not be reached by phone. Plus there were no other hair stylists booked to come in that day...so I would have been SOL. However, Kristy jumped into action and got me an appointment for the next day at The Cure at the Sunset Tower Hotel (in Hollywood - less than a mile from where I was to be staying in Hollywood). She also made sure I would not be charged for the appointment AND gave me detailed instructions for how to find convenient free parking behind the hotel. Plus...while I was there...I booked a massage appointment for that same day. It's a simply gorgeous spa, so it seemed a shame to leave without enjoying its amenities. Kristy immediately called the Massage Therapist (Rita) and she agreed to be to the salon within the hour. So...while I was waiting, Kristy ordered me lunch from her favorite local restaurant (D'amores - yum) and gave me lotso champagne while I waited. So, I had a great lunch, some delicious champagne, and a wonderful massage in Malibu...followed by a free blowout the next day in Hollywood. I hope The Cure realizes the gem they have in Kristy, and that they realize how it is only because of her that 1 star became 5 stars. read more

We had a lovely experience at Cure despite the COVID times we are in. My mom and I got massages that we both enjoyed and were the perfect end our weekend in Malibu. The staff was amazing and even helped get my mom back her necklace when she mistakenly left it in the locker (we live in NJ). My problem is I'm really hard to please when it comes to massages because I get them constantly and have for the last 27 years. I've become a snob so it's almost impossible for me to hard find even a decent masseuse. I can usually tell in the first 3 minutes of a massage if the person is new. It's horrible. But I had the most amazing experience at Cure Malibu and had to write this review. I just had a 2-hour massage with Clyde and hands down this was the Absolutely BEST one I've ever had!!! Clyde surprised me not only with talking with me prior and taking notes on my health, problem areas, allergies, my preference in oils/lotion, but really amazed at his extensive knowledge in massage therapy and the human anatomy. Cupping from Christine was the best treat I was gifted after graduation. She is so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable in my first cupping session. It was 80 minutes of release that cleansed me of all of the tension I had been carrying from being hunched over a computer writing papers for 4 years or on my feet for 8 hour shifts at the brewery. Michael made me feel right at home and treated me to fresh fruits and drinks while I was waiting between services. Megan did my massage and facial and she is gifted! Best massage and facial I've ever had (I've had a lot). Highly recommend requesting her when you go in. Definitely will be coming back just for that! The ocean views from the spa are incredible and you hardly notice the road noise below at all and I didn't find it distracting. It seems like they are using a few different units on the same floor of the building so the layout is a little confusing and I'm an extremely organized person so I probably notice that more than others but I think that a little more flow between those spaces would be great. My friend and I both had a travel zoo deal for 2 60 minute swedish massages and complimentary champagne. We got there about 2 hours before the massages because we thought we would use the facilities. A lot of spas have jacuzzis and steam rooms and pools. Well this place is VERY SMALL. They have a little powder room, a bath room, a tiny steam room for like 2 people, a waiting room and a big balcony with couches and lounge chairs. It is very pretty inside, mostly white, very modern and clean. The lady at the desk was pretty rude and needless to say we never got the champagne that was promised on the voucher. The massages were heavenly though. So can't knock that. Don't think I would ever go back since Malibu is kind of out of the way. read more

This place gets a 5 star for the massage even though the facility itself although lovely is not 5 star. I purchased a Travelzoo special for an 80 minute massage plus a 10-15 minute body scrub for the Bevery Hills location. The girl on the phone Mich, asked me if I would like to switch to their Malibu location. I decided to give it a try since I love Malibu and it's a nice drive through the canyon for me. I was here on my birthday recently and it was a wonderful way to start off my birthday. I did think the location in an office building was a little unusual but once you go in, it's lovely and the huge patio with couches and an ocean view really makes this place special. Everyone was really nice and made me feel comfortable. My massuese Deborah was really outstanding. I have had massages at many spectacular spas around the world and I have been a member at Burke Williams. I think I can honestly say this was one of the best massages I have ever had if not the best. I thought the room was a little bright at first but I got used to it. After the massage, the girls encouraged me to relax on the patio and served me a glass of wine. They also had tea, fruit and granola bars. This spa does not have facilites in the way that Burke Williams or a fancy resort do. Although the shower and changing rooms are quite comfortable I was glad that I brought my own shampoo and conditioner. All in all I really enjoyed my experience here and would definitely return. read more
