I used this service for the first time recently, on a trip from the Calabassas area to LAX and back about two weeks apart. The drivers were both great, and the vehicles for our family of 4 were fairly new, roomy and in great condition. I also think the prices were reasonable. So why the 3 star review? Simply, for both our home pick up to get to LAX and on the return trip each driver was 20 minutes late in arriving. I get that unexpected things happen, but with late pick ups 2 of 2 trips I am going to assume this company does not value promptness. I might give them another try because like I said the drivers and vehicles were great, but perhaps next time I'll request a pick up time that's 15 - 20 minutes earlier than I really need to leave. read more

These guys are the real deal! I did tons of research and liked the reviews I found but more than that.... they went the extra mile when they had some unexpected driver issues. They stayed in touch and made sure I got to the airport and arrived with plenty of time. On my return flight 2 mo later, they were also right there as needed. The driver texted as soon as I landed and we were able to stay in touch so he could find me easily. Took me to my door and even offered to help me in with my 2 very large bags. I booked Curbside Express LAX for our recent vacation. I booked them based on their Yelp! and of course, Google reviews, plus their prices were very competitive. I had to book a van for 3 stops and 10 people going to and from LAX, others wanted around $500+, Curbside was under $400. Our first driver Alex was on time, he even arrived early and text me he was at the first pick-up site. Alex was super friendly and handled all our luggage with ease and was careful. Our return driver was Christian and he was on time and super efficient. Too bad LAX traffic wasn't like these guys. Christian was also super friendly and was cautious and courteous with our luggage as well. Didn't just toss it inside. Both vans were clean and roomy enough for everyone. Yes I could have driven from LAX to Anaheim but I really did not want to drive in the morning LA traffic. Uber and Lyft are not reliable early in the morning so I did some research and took a chance on Curbside Express LAX. I'm so glad I did! They are so affordable compared to other companies offering "black car" services. My driver was amazing and was there to pick me up in less than 5 minutes. I booked this service because I thought it would be a better experience than taking an Uber or Taxi from LAX to my home. Unfortunately, my family and I were treated to the worst, most unprofessional service we've ever received. Turk Anderson should not be in this line of work. He was rude from the start, took his own detour which added more commute time, and then snapped at me when I asked him to stay on course. He's also unsafe because he claims he can't see unless the windows are down. The vehicle itself was not in good repair and it had a lot of "check engine" and service warning lights on. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend it. Jonathan, who might be the owner, contacted me after I left a negative review in the company's internal customer experience survey. He apologized multiple times about the service we received. He also offered to comp my next trip. I'll update this review if that happens. read more

We booked 3 point to point rides. The first one in the morning showed up on time but it was a rough ride. The second ride was supposed to pick us up at 11:30 and then the driver texts me that his car broke down. I attempted to speak with customer service but half the time their phones didn't work nor did they return messages. Also the phone reception for customer service and their English is horrible . After 35 minutes I told dispatch to cancel and to issue a refund. He then said let me send you two minivans who are only 5 minutes away and will comp the ride. I accepted the offer and after waiting for 15 minutes the minivans never showed up. I tried calling to complain but they kept sending me to voicemail because they can see my caller id and didn't want to talk to me. 10 minutes later the original driver showed up so we took the ride because we were very late to our appointment. I have sent multiple emails, texts and left messages and they never returned my calls, replied to any of my texts or emails. They also didn't honor the comp ride so I would recommend looking for another company. By the way, take a screenshot of the texts to show proof that they didn't show up if you decide to initiate a chargeback because they recall the texts and then claim they never sent it and therefore you are not entitled for a refund even though they breached the agreement. read more

This is the first time we used Curbside Express LAX and it was certainly a good experience. We booked them for a ride from LAX to Lakewood. Our flight initially was arriving at 11:59 pm which is why I decided to use a service instead of asking a friend. Well, our flight was delayed and arriving at 3 am! No problem. I text Curbside Express and they modified my confirmation. 2 hours before arrival, I get an email telling me of the assigned driver and his phone number. They have staff available 24/7. I text Rafael upon landing and the post number we will be waiting at after we pick up our suitcases. And sure enough, he was there with his clean Honda Pilot. They keep in touch with texts, are available via phone for changes, and most importantly they follow your flight. Our flight from DC to LAX was delayed by 3 hours then diverted through New Mexico, and the shuttle still showed up upon our arrival 5 hours late. We availed of this company due to reasonable quotation conveniently given via phone and website. Be accurate with luggage input as the minivan barely fit 5 check in large luggage. We got both pick up and drop off services. Process is you get an email who is the chauffeur assigned to you about 2 hrs prior then a text from the driver himself closer into the actual pick up time. Eric was our driver from LAX to our residence, I emailed the company ahead of time of our delayed international flight. Eric was there on time of arrival and patiently waited for us about an hour from our arrival to actually exiting the airport, as we had to go thru immigration and get our luggage from carousel. He communicated with us via text just to get update on our status. His car was clean and comfortable. On time, clean, efficient, a good price - that's pretty much what I'm looking for in a car service, and they delivered all of the above.

Booking process and texting communications were good. They were good sports about our plane arriving 30 minutes late. But had several issues with the driver and his van: 1. Extremely "jerky" driving style; stop and start as if he had one foot on gas pedal and the other on the brake. He hit the brake for any reason, usually when cars changed lanes way ahead of us (thus no reason to hit the brakes). The result was car-sick passengers, me included. 2. Driver went way under the speed limit when there was light traffic on the freeways. He drove between 40-50 mph most of the time in a 65 speed limit. Very hesitant driving which made me lose some confidence that we were in safe hands. After a 15-hour set of flights to LAX, this was quite aggravating. 3. Driver drifted into the fast lane and actually bumped the side of a Uhaul in that lane at roughly 30 MPH. He rolled the window to check with the uhaul driver, who didn't want to stop presumably to avoid any trouble with uhaul company. Then he kept driving like nothing happened. I could not tell if there was visible damage to the uhaul or not. 4. Missed the turn to our quiet street, even though NAV was telling him to turn. Then he did a bizarre 3-point turnaround in the middle of the next 4-way intersection with other cars zipping through. Normally a person would just turn around on a side street, driveway, or even on the wide street we were on - but he proceeded to an intersection to do it. 5. The van was rickety and old. Used coke & water bottles in the back. Less of an issue, but worth mentioning. The driver was certainly friendly, but we didn't feel safe on the ride home, and I had thoughts of asking him to drop us off halfway through so we could get another ride home. Thus, I can not in good conscience give anything other than the lowest rating. Bad experience and we are not inclined to use this service again, despite the other consistently high reviews. Unfortunately for the owner, this issue might be specific to a single driver out of the fleet making the company look bad. PS. the driver was NOT Eddie or Eric, who I saw in other recent (positive) reviews. Follow-up to original post: owner called me to discuss the issues after my first post. He was very professional and seemed to handle this with the primary interest of solving a potential problem on the company's side. read more

I am glad that they recommended that they pick me up at 5pm even though my international flight isn't until 9pm. Because of the holidays the trip to LAX took an hour and a half, three times longer than usual because of heavy traffic. Karina, the driver remained calm throughout the trip even with what ended up as a really tight schedule- we took longer than expected and she has another pick up at LAX. Horrible company zero customer service. update business is now called Curbside Excuses manager's phone doesn't work they assign a driver- change to another driver without notifying me THEN wait for it blame traffic um LAX has traffic maybe plan ahead since you had my arrival time from when I paid in advance Curbside Excuses at LAX to be clear, what I am paying for, by reserving and paying in advance, in my opinion, is the peace of mind that when I land and turn on my phone, I will have a message from my driver. I land, no message. I walk the half mile to baggage claim, no message. I call, they don't answer. When I finally get a message from a driver, I call him. He says, "I was reassigned, they will call you with a new driver" by this time, I have my luggage. I am also frustrated. This service is not cheap, yet the communication is non existent. I walk out, get on the LAX Flyaway bus. They start calling me with excuses now. Suddenly they want to pick me up. Note that this is 45 minutes after my reserved pick up time. They explain to me via text "There is traffic" "The driver will be there in 10 minutes" um I was at LAX, it was midnight, there was very little traffic, and if there were, the service I paid for was a car to pick me up at an agreed time. The job is maybe to anticipate traffic and still be there on time. Very annoyed with the lack of communication, the excuses, the poor customer service. If they wanted to fix their mistake, they could have offered to refund my fee AND give me the ride since they were so,late in picking me up. I demanded a refund, waiting to see how they make excuses for how long that will take. Update- owner issued a refund and apology which I expected. But now he is trying to get me to remove this review. read more

We were supposed to be picked up at 5 AM, and Prime Time called me the evening before we were supposed to leave saying they couldn't pick us up.
