My wife and I had an amazing day in Santa Rosa with Curated Winery tours. Our host, Chris, asked us ahead of time what type of experience we were interested in, and several other questions to help him set up the best day that was tailored to us specifically. He even asked about our dietary restrictions and accommodated our needs. We are Pinot Noir lovers and asked for appointments with small producers. We went to 3 wineries including Croix, Dehlinger, and Rochioli winery. Chris' wife is an amazing chef, and she prepared a killer picnic lunch for us, with homemade bread and a spring salad to die for. Chris also shared with us hidden landmarks in the Russian River, including the oldest vines planted in 1890; as well as a really cool, historic single-lane bridge. Chris is really passionate about wine and this area, and we learned a lot. We can't wait to bring our friends next time on a private tour. Chris went above and beyond our expectations for our day. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and then made a change on the fly when he learned that we had already visited one of the vineyards on his list. Our first winery was picturesque with tasty wines, followed by a winery with a delicious picnic lunch (provided by Chris) and impressive wines, then a cave and winery tour with stunning views and incredible wines. Chris offered great insight into the regions, the types of grapes, the soil, the geography and how all this goes into how the wines taste. It was a fun learning experience. Chris is a wonderful guide-- he picks you up in a very comfortable vehicle, is polite and has a great knowledge of the area. I learned a lot from him and felt entirely comfortable. He took us to 3 wineries, and we had the loveliest picnic at Pestoni Family Estate Winery, packe dby his wife who is a foodie! He even brought a white tablecloth! Later, in downtown, he stepped away from our tasting at WALT Wines and surprised us with a box of perfect little cupcakes from the Cupcake-ery across the street! Just a beautiful touch. I hired Curated winery tours to take my out-of-town clients on a day trip to Napa. We had a great time. Our driver, Chris was super fun and knowledgeable. He brought us to small wineries we never would have found on our own. His SUV was very comfortable for the 6 of us and still had room for the wine we bought that day. This experience was the BEST we have ever been on! Chris was extremely professional, on-time, communicative, friendly, easy to talk to, and very reliable. We are very busy and often don't have time to plan, so after filling out the questionnaire, it was SO wonderful to be surprised with 3 unique vineyard experiences that we've never heard of/never would have been able to find ourselves. He was very on time picking us up (SO convenient to be picked up at home rather than figuring out how to transport to a communal pick up spot) provided lots off water and snacks, and was really knowledgable but not at all pretentious or intimidating which is very nice for wine beginners like ourselves. He reminded us to take photos and even helped us take very high quality ones so that we could remember this very special experience. The lunch his wife put together was fantastic in presentation, taste, and he made it very special as a picnic at one of the vineyards with a nice table cloth and a delicious dessert! Chris did an amazing job in putting together our wine tasting day in Sonoma. You can tell he really enjoys putting these tours together. He started off with a questionnaire to help him understand what were trying to accomplish and our likes so he could tailor the experience to our liking.
