I had the pleasure of utilizing the services of this company last August (2021) during my bachelorette trip from Texas to Napa Valley. It was the first time for the majority of those in my party and we enjoyed every part of it. The owner, Elie was awesome!! He was engaging and passionate about what he does, plus he did most of the planning (in conjunction)with my MOH so everything ran smoothly. I unfortunately had a horrible injury during the bike tour and broke my ankle in 3 places, so didn't fully take in every aspect of the tour, but I experienced enough to give it 5 stars. Especially considering the fact that I was transported 30 or so minutes away from the vineyards we were about to visit & Elie went out of his way to come pick me up from the hospital after I was discharged so I could rejoin my group and take advantage of the remainder of the tour. If that's NOT great customer service...I don't know what is!‍ If Napa/San Francisco are on your list of destinations to visit...definitely look him up!! read more

At the vineyards it's only a tasting, so if you're looking for a more in depth or educational type of tour about the wine making process maybe find a different tour. I've now taken Green Dream Tours twice: I've experienced different vehicles, different guides, different tours. My first experience was on the Sonoma Valley Wine Tour. We went to the Robledo Family Winery, Larson Family Winery, and Nicholson Ranch with time to also explore the historic Sonoma Plaza. It was perfect. I loved each winery we went to because they were all so different (we had a picnic lunch provided for us and our group bought bottles of bubbly to share), and the free time to explore Sonoma on my own was appreciated. There were nine of us that time so were seated on an incredibly comfortable, clean mini bus. However, the tour guide wasn't great -- she seemed bored by having to drive us, and sat awkwardly near us at each winery playing on her phone. And at the end of the day when she had to drop me off at my hotel, she lost her cool because of the traffic and ended having me walk a half mile back because it was too congested and she was so stressed. My second experience was the complete opposite. I did the Napa Valley Wine Tour, and we went to Bouchaine Vineyards, Spelletich Family Winery, and Hagafen Cellars - the first spot was absolutely unbelievable; picture perfect scenery, amazing wines with generous pours, and we were provided an incredible private tour. The other two spots were much less exciting. Checking out the Oxbow Market was cool, but because we came at lunch time it was insanely busy (my suggestion is to check out the businesses outside but nearby the market). There were four of us this time and we drove around in a van - the interior was dirty and it was much less comfortable. However; our tour guide this time was amazing. Thoughtful, accommodating, friendly, engaging; he really took the time out to get to know each one of us personally. And while he's probably given a million tours, he still came off genuine and excited to be a part of ours. I was expecting more from this tour. Especially after seeing the good reviews. Our guide Header was nice, but she forgot the microphone, so with the noises the van was making we couldn't hear anything of what she was saying. We went there to learn about wine and winery's and we felt we did not learn much. There where only another couple there, so not sure what they do if they have even more people on the tour. The other couple was from London and they actually knew a lot about wine, so it was a conversation between the guide and them, not that fun! We did the half day tour to Sonoma, we did not learn much about wine or the winery. The first winery had a lot of things to do, but we only have 20 minutes to enjoy after the tasting, we where also expecting to see beautiful landscape and nature, and we did not se anything. In the the first winery, first the wine was bad, I don't know much about wine but I know if it taste bad or good, I had try a lot of wine in my life, and all the wine in the tasting was bad, after that we buy a bottle in the store and that one was really good, so I wonder what happen... the other thing was the lady that give us the explanation start making fun of other tourist lady that once ask here if they make the wine with peanuts because the wine have peanuts flavor and she start laughing, I actually don't that answer, I went there to learn, so if you don't know anything about wine and want to learn this is not your tour! they will make fun of you! Rude! Maybe the all day tour is better, my friend recommended and they had a better experience, but they toke the combo tour, we where glad we only take half day so we did not loose all day doing this but it was very expensive so we regret! hope these review help them make things better for next people! read more

With so many vineyards tours to choose - Me and my friend were hoping that we made a good choice. We decided on the combo Sonoma and Napa Tour ad was glad we did. We know that it all comes down to the tour guide - luckily - we had Mark - he was AWESOME!! Mark was at our location on time, he was chill, laid-back and had a wealth of knowledge and made sure we stayed on task and time throughout the day!! We visited three smaller wineries and that was cool because I want some variety and something different and this tour delivered in SPADES!! Each winery was unique and they were all friendly. Some specific notes If you are a gregarious type and others on the tour are as well you will have a good time. The distance traveled was not a lot and the pace was ok for all the participants. The three brew pubs Mike selected were excellent. We will go back to at least one of them. If you have toured other brew pubs you won't find the brewery tour portion unusual but Mike had a lot of interesting factoids about SF brewing history. Elie took our group on the best wine tour we've ever been on! I'm typically a major planner -- but we let Elie plan the entire day for us and everything went better than we could've expected. We got to visit several wineries that we would've never discovered on our own-- each so beautiful and charming. The staff at every winey was knowledgable and welcoming. I absolutely cannot say enough nice things about Dylan and our tour experience for the Napa/Sonoma combo tour. I can see why this company gets so many 5 star reviews. One minor complaint, but it is so minor, it didn't really affect my experience, so let's get that out of the way: the seating on the van is tight and not super comfy. A more traditional 2 by 2 seating would be better than the side bench seating (one row on each side of the van, one in the back). But let's move on to the good, shall we? First of all Dylan. What a rockstar. He knows a lot, and he is funny, friendly, and detail-oriented. I can imagine the planning it must take to pick up six different parties at six different hotels/residences spread out all over the entire city. But he did it in a clear and logical order. He had some really interesting facts. I learned some stuff and I would absolutely take another one of his tours. He also bought us some cheese/salami/crackers at the first winery to snack on because we had awhile before lunch, and we were running a teeny bit behind (no fault of his though.) He also had great taste in music. He even gave me a mix CD that the owner of the company compiled, made up of a bunch of San Francisco themed mucicians and songs. They also put some thought into local recommendations and gave us all a "cheat sheet" about good local spots to visit in the bay area. We stopped at the foot of the Golden Gate bridge for some awesome photo ops, a potty break, and we were on our way! The wineries were great selections: Larson, Nicholson, and Jaimison. I liked Nicholson the best. It reminded me of what Italy should look like. The fertile vinyards and the rolling hills. There was plenty of water and a few essentials, like a corkscrew! I bought a bottle of wine to drink with my lunch (don't worry- I shared it), and I was able to open it right after leaving the bus, to avoid a corking fee at Oxbow market. Oxbow market is a cool stop. There is something for everyone here! We were there for just the right amount of time before moving on to our last winery. I am going to recommend this tour to anyone. I am not even a huge wine drinker! But guess what? I learned more about it and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this day. Thank you so much, guys. You made my green dream come true. read more

I scheduled a full day private tour and it was completely underwhelming. I read some reviews before booking that made me assume this was the best option for a bachelorette trip but boy was I wrong. For starters, I booked this months before our trip and each time I called to ask for an itinerary I had to listen to whoever was on the other line talk in circles and not giving me a clear answer of when I would be receiving an itinerary. Finally, the afternoon before our tour I receive our itinerary and am put in touch with the person who handles private tours (the first communication I've had up until this point, which was surprising that I hadn't spoken with them before) and our driver. I'll give props that the bus was a comfy size for our group of 10 and our driver was prompt at arriving for pickup. But things took a turn when we drove to our first winery. Upon arrival, I went up to the winery's hostess and told her we had a tasting reservation to which she responded saying she didn't have a reservation for us. The company had booked our reservation at a separate location. The winery was kind enough to make room for us while I tried to get in contact with our driver and private tour representative, neither which I was able to get ahold of. I called the number of the Green Dream office and someone there told me they would call our driver and have him come back to see what happened. When he arrived, I explained to him the reservation mixup to which he said, "I just go where they tell me." and nervously laughed. It was completely unprofessional and was utterly embarrassing for him. Unimpressed, I told him that they would accommodate us and we would be out at the time he initially told us. Not once did he nor anyone from Green Dream apologize about booking the wrong place. I got a "bummer" text from one of them and some excuse about the winery's booking system. They never took ownership or credit for this mistake that set the tone for the rest of our day. I ended up calling the remaining wineries to confirm the reservations and they had both been set. The other two wineries were wonderful and we got around safely, but to say the least, do not book with Green Dreams unless you want a boring non-engaging driver and a 50/50 chance of them miss-booking reservations. My recommendation is either do it yourself and Uber or book with Platypus--I had a wonderful experience with them a few years back and am kicking myself for not booking with them in the first place. The unprofessionalism I experienced during each interaction that I had with their employees should have been a clear sign for me to avoid--so many red flags. Would defer anyone from booking here. read more

Similar to the other reviews on here, I cannot say enough good things about this company. It was easy to book online, and when my pick up location had to be changed customer service was very helpful. The price was astronomically lower than other wine tours I looked at, but don't let that turn you off-it is as high quality an experience as they come. We did the combo Sonoma and Napa tour. Our tour guide Mark was funny and charming, but also extremely informational. He made sure we paid attention to all of the landmarks we were passing on ride up and got the whole bus involved. We visited three wineries-all gave generous amounts of wine for tasting and had very personable staff. I also never thought I'd learn so much about California's history, but now I feel like an expert after listening to how the grapes are grown, why they are grown there, etc. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely book another tour with them next time I am out there! read more

As someone who is an avid traveler and takes tours in various cities, I can honestly say this tour is fabulous! I was especially pleased with our guide Geoffrey. What a fantastic wine tour! It was my wife and I's first wine tour and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our driver Dillon Haas definitely brought the group together and added a whole other level of fun and entertainment to the tour. He was full of fun stories, facts about San Francisco, and unrelated topics that kept the group constantly laughing. His music selection while driving was also fantastic. The wineries were wonderfully enjoyable as well. The host at each vineyard had something different to teach and share with their own style. Every wine we tasted was delicious and I feel like I expanded my palette and knowledge of wine. I will be much more savvy when picking wines in the future. This was a thoroughly entertaining tour of wine country. Whether you're a tourist or a local, put Green Dream Tours on your radar. We got to visit a few of Sonoma Valley's lesser known/off-the-beaten path wineries (eg Robledo and Larson Family Winery and Nicholson). The deluxe shuttle picked me up on-time in Mill Valley and in less than 30 minutes we arrived at our first destination. Our guide Dylan was a delight - full of energy, local knowledge, and made sure our bus had a rockin' soundtrack and plenty of bottled water (a boy's gotta keep hydrated!). Of the three wineries we visited, I would say that Larson was my favorite. The property has a unique history (the world's most famous horse, Seabiscuit, used to train here before they converted this into a winery). In addition to boasting delicious wines, Larson is also very dog-friendly and family-friendly. They have a bocce ball court and several games that folks can play while sipping. Be warned: this place gets quite busy on weekends (I'd recommend visiting Larson during the week, if possible). In between tastings, we got to nibble on a delicious lunch courtesy Basque Cafe. Our boxed meal included a turkey sandwich, fruit salad, and one of the chewiest chocolate chip cookies I've ever had! After visiting the second winery, we made a stop in Sonoma Square. We were given an hour to stroll through the shops and eateries of this charming town. You definitely should pay a visit to the Cheese Shop. And if you're a pet owner, you need to swing by Three Dog Bakery. The owner couldn't be more lovely, and they have a vast selection of doggy treats and toys. The whole tour from pick-up to drop-off lasted 7 hours. They took care of everything (transportation, wine tasting fees, and lunch). If you're looking to spend a memorable day in wine country, give the Green Dream team a holler. read more

Best wine tour I've done. Our driver, Robin, was both knowledgeable and easygoing, and he created an environment that was light and comfortable for the whole group. We had 11 people in total, which was a great size. Green Dream visits family owned wineries. We went to Starmont, Spelletich, and Andretti, stopping at Oxbow Public Market for lunch between Spelletich and Andretti. There was a good balance throughout the day of group activity, education, and free time. The tour picks up and drops off in downtown San Francisco. I found this convenient, compared to tours that drop off in Sausalito, because it did not require any further coordination and cost for us to return to the city. I also found this to be one of the more economical tours, since wine tastings are included in the cost of the tour. What a Fantastic experience my wife Dianne and I had on our tour. Our tour guide Robin made the journey educational and fun. We did 2 stops in Sonoma at small family run vineyards, then a lunch stop in Napa, and one last vineyard in Napa as well. I chose Green Dream for a private wine tour to bring together a rather involved proposal while vacationing in San Francisco. Living 2k miles away, I really had to put an immense amount of trust in everyone. I was NOT disappointed! My contact, Erin...was excellent! After gathering and sifting through my sometimes lengthy details, ideas and email chain she absolutely crushed the entire setup! Not only by scheduling the winery appointments and developing a wonderful itinerary, but also by coordinating with the proposal photographers I had involved. The tour was incredible! The itinerary consisted of a foggy morning photo op at Golden Gate bridge followed by wine tastings at Domaine Carneros, Frogs Leap and Peju with lunch at Bottega in between. The essential part of this all being our "driver", Simone. I use "driver" loosely considering the entire day it just felt like three friends on a wine tour. Not to mention the vital role she had in the secrecy, care and delivery of a custom book concealing the engagement ring. Overall, she was incredibly personable, accommodating and just sublime!
