Our fabulous server Clementine was there--we remembered her from last year. This is I think our third or fourth time here in as many years. An order of beignets started us off. These are square and no-kidding as big as my hand. Each. Four of them. Yeah, beignets are mostly air but one order was plenty for the two of us. I ordered the Eggs Pontchartrain---pan-fried trout filet, poached eggs, smothered in sauce bearnaise. I ordered the side of grits, plain, though I've also had their cheese grits. Both are stellar. Fabulous breakfast plate! Wife N went with the classic Benedict, ham, poached eggs, hollandaise, plain grits on the side. Delicious as always. Coffee is dark and fabulous.
