My venue at The Barn at Killcreek Farm required liability insurance and their business license, Heather was great with communication and sent me things very quickly when asked. Most of our communication was through facebook and email. She made it very easy to pay, I was able to pay for it from the ease of my computer at home. She offered meeting in person but my schedule was very busy before the wedding. She let me know of the set up time and they were ready to serve even before the wedding started. They had a beautiful set up with black table covers and a lovely buffet serving style. Both her and her husband kept the food stocked and it was always hot and moist. Our meats included: Pulled Pork with Buns, Brisket and Chicken. Our sides: BBQ Beans, Green bean cassrole and Scalloped Potatoes. Heather was preparing plates for both bride and groom (I was the bride) just in case we had no chance to eat. She also offered to take care of the desserts that we had brought, including the option of icing our cookie cake if needed. She transported all our cookies from our containers to serving plates and did everything so sanitary, including wearing gloves. I appreciated every aspect that both Heather and Scott brought. Our guests loved the food and talked about it all through the night, I personally really loved the BBQ beans and the pulled pork. She brought containers for me to take home the leftovers and was very accommodating. My two young nephews were at the wedding and wanted to help the caterers, Heather and Scott were both very kind and patient with them. Heather and Scott both did the set up and clean up, it was completely stress free. I would highly recommend them for any wedding/event. Our event was 75 people.

I confirmed later the number of appetizers and if they were cold or hot so I could have proper serving dishes. On the day of the event, 30 minutes before the event was to start, I texted and asked for an ETA for the food. He called me immediately and apologized and explained that he had been swamped the entire week and had forgotten about my event; he could be there in 2.5-3 hours with something. I declined his offer. My house mate and I ran to the nearby Hen House and picked up various party platters, wings, shrimp cocktail, etc - and were back home with ten minutes to spare. No one was the wiser. We had such a wonderful time that I could not be mad. And Lucas promptly refunded my money. All this to say, I don't like posting a negative review - but should you decide to engage Lucas perhaps check in with him every other day, or make sure he has written it down on his calendar. I regret that I did not get to sample his food as I was very much looking forward to it, he had even offered to make deviled eggs for me at my request.
