Very excited about this new bakery in Greenville, especially because it's in close proximity to my office. The space itself is adorable --- bright, pink, and full of cute merchandise and baked goods. I've stopped by twice so far --- the first time being on opening day, when unfortunately things were sold out by 12p. We were able to snag a small chocolate chip cake to split among co-workers, which was good though very sweet. I've had a few more of the cupcakes after a coworker brought treats in for the office, which were also yummy, though similarly very sweet with cake that's a bit dense. I've been keeping on eye on her menu, which seems to be diversifying and expanding. I'm excited to go back and try some of the newer cupcake flavors, the homemade Pop-tarts, and some of her various other treats. read more

The cupcakes were too sweet. We bought a dozen of it and barely finished it because of how sweet it was. Had to drink milk to be able to eat the dessert. It's unfortunate because it is a cute little bakery inside a little plaza at Greenville. The 2 people behind the counters were also very unwelcoming and unprofessional. No "Hi, welcome to CupKate's! Thank you!" No smiles. They looked very irritated while taking the orders instead of trying to be helpful. They did not want to be there. At that point, I didn't either. For the price that you're paying for the treats, not worth it. If only their attitudes were half as sweet as their desserts, I would have return just to support this small local business. However, customer service is atrocious. I walked in and the two girls working there didn't even say hello. One was with a customer but the other one simply ignored me. I pulled over to fix an issue with my car and realized I hadn't eaten a thing all day and saw the storefront so I ran in to get a little snack. Been here about half dozen times and have to say I have been impressed with how consistently good they are. The cupcakes get top billing and they are great! Everything has been fresh and favorable. You can't sleep on the cookies here. They are a very simple cookie shortbread/butter cookie?, but they are on point.
