CELIAC COMMUNITY NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT CAKES BY KIM…read more I can't say enough about Cakes by Kim! My daughter has celiacs and we are always so apprehensive when ordering foods from other places. Last year, I ordered her graduation cake from here and kept my fingers crossed - it was so delicious! No one could believe it was gluten free! And she had zero GI issues. Fast forward a year later to her birthday, and she asked me for a cake. Why shop around when I already know where the best is?? I drove an hour round trip to get my daughter a bakery cake because it's that good! Kim is also great at communicating. When I questioned ordering the chocolate shavings- Kim snapped a picture of the ingredients and sent it over. (made in a Facilty that processes wheat) - Kim had no problem adjusting the order. The staff takes great care for food allergies and the taste of the cake does not suffer for it. So delicious!!!! The space itself is adorable --- bright, pink, and full of cute merchandise and baked goods. I've stopped by twice so far --- the first time being on opening day, when unfortunately things were sold out by 12p. I've had a few more of the cupcakes after a coworker brought treats in for the office, which were also yummy, though similarly very sweet with cake that's a bit dense. I've been keeping on eye on her menu, which seems to be diversifying and expanding. I'm excited to go back and try some of the newer cupcake flavors, the homemade Pop-tarts, and some of her various other treats.
