My wife and I were out and about the other day when we discovered this wonderful place! I had found an add for a free cake pop in the Spectrum, and went to their website immediately. When I read off flavors like French Toast and Bacon, Cotton Candy and Peanut Butter and Banana, both of us knew we would be trying this place. We were not disappointed. The cupcakes taste just like they say. We got the French Toast cupcake, as well as the PB and Banana and Margarita. We were busy so we brought them home and actually forgot about them until hours later. They were still soft and delicious! The Margarita has THE BEST lime frosting ever!! French Toast is an awesome cupcake as well! Very flavorful! The winner of that day was the PB and Banana though!! This is one cupcake that you could eat and actually think you were eating PB and Banana instead! The PB frosting mixed with the banana cupcake is exquisite!! We have been back since, to try Cotton Candy and PB Cup. My wife tried the Cotton Candy and her only critique of it was to possibly use a different piece of cotton candy on top. The PB cup had that phenomenal PB frosting again, and it is a very tasty chocolate cupcake...with a peanut butter cup baked right in the center! Genius! We are dying to try Shirley Temple and Cherry Coke and we actually spoke to one of the owners the other day and she was very nice and explained that we could call and request some be held if we couldn't make it that day. They seem very accomodating if you can't get there for one of the specified days, but want to try one of their awesome concoctions! Also, they have actual hours, not open at 11:30 and closed when the cupcakes are gone. We have been there pretty close to closing time and they maybe out of some flavors, but there are still cupcakes to be frosted/had. Much better than a certain other Manchester cupcakery. The price is $2.75 a cupcake, which is pretty good since the cupcakes taste like their names, and we really haven't come across a cupcake where we said "That's too dry" or "That doesn't taste like chocolate". I reiterate: If it says Mocha, it's going to taste like Mocha!! 2 more things: The cake pop is really good! We both expected not to like it, but we thought it was nice and moist and flavorful! It's literally a ball of cake on a stick covered in white chocolate! So I'd say if you have a hankering for cupcakes and would like to try a few interesting flavors, truck on over to Cupcakes 101 in Bedford. You will not be disappointed. My family has been ordering from Cupcakes 101 for a few years now. They've been consistently good. Given COVID, it is rare that we leave the house now, but I had my little one out with me while I ran a needed errand. She spotted the shop and asked to go get a cake pop. I said okay. I wish I hadn't! We went in, and there is little done to keep people distant - their candy displays take up a ton of space! It felt crowded with one other person in the shop ahead of us. We got to order, and the owner kept coming out of the kitchen with her mask off. The customer ahead of us asked about it. The owner went on an on about how wearing masks "all the time" can't be good for us, and how she never wore a mask until the governor mandated them. She said she does wear one while baking, but takes it off to come out for "breaks". She took several breaks during the short time we were in the store, but I never saw that she had a mask...even as she came out of the kitchen. When we were leaving, I was buckling my daughter in the car, and I looked through the window - into the kitchen. There was the owner, frosting cupcakes with no mask on - as plain as day! This was over the weekend - but I will be calling the health department to report it as soon as they open on Monday. These cupcakes are NOT worth risking COVID for. I am a college student that lives near Cupcakes 101. My school is right near it as well. The close distance contributes to my love of this place, but the variety and flexibility are what sets Cupcakes 101 apart from other bakeries. I have a series of medical conditions that restricts my diet. I am not able to eat ordinary cupcakes due to a gluten allergy and dairy sensitivity. When I first heard of Cupcakes 101, I did some research and called about what accommodations they could make for me. It was Valentine's Day and they were featuring a cupcake called "Chocolate Covered Strawberry." I asked if they make a cupcake that I could eat with all of my restrictions. They ended up making me a whole batch of cupcakes that were gluten free and made frosting with the least amount of dairy possible. It was the best dessert I have ever eaten! I have been going back ever since. I am so impressed with how friendly the staff was and how willing they were to help me. I would recommend Cupcakes 101 to anyone, with or without allergies. Even if you are unsure that they can accommodate your allergy, give them a call. They go above and beyond to ensure the best quality and service. read more

My daughter and niece had heard lots of good things about this cupcake bakery and were looking forward to checking it out. They drove about 45 minutes and discovered, to their delight, that it was well worth the drive. The cupcakes are moist and delicious and several original recipes are offered. My daughter brought some of these tasty concoctions home and my family and I were impressed. I sampled the Peppermint Patty and it practically melted in my mouth; it was the BEST cupcake I have ever eaten. My daughter said that the shop itself is very clean and attractive and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you're planning a party or wish to bring a special treat to a family or friend, I would highly recommend these cupcakes. read more

These cupcakes were a gift from someone my husband was doing business with. I'm not a cupcake person. I don't have a sweet tooth, but OMG these cupcakes are AWESOME!
