These cupcakes were beautiful and delicious! Exactly what I wanted!! I ordered these cupcakes about 2 weeks before my friends bridal shower. I spoke to John and he was super friendly & polite! Ordered regular cupcakes and a side of gluten free cupcakes (which were kept separate from the regular - amazing!). 11/10 will be ordering cupcakes from here again!
I ordered a Dallas cowboys cake for my boyfriends 50th birthday which I picked up Sunday. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because I received a call around 2pm saying we are only open til 3 and your pick up time is 4. Sorry the person who took your order must of made a mistake. I won't be here at 4. So I had to have someone else rush to go get it in a short amount of notice. Thank god they helped me out today and As someone who is very organized and scheduled this was disappointing when you rely the day of for a service and to be honest I was thrown off track for my party that night because of this and I ordered way in advance. So while I was trying to get balloons, gifts, party favors ready for the party my whole schedule changed which was super inconvenient for me. But mistakes happen and I was understanding. I was able to have someone pick it up before 315 and I am glad I had someone who was able to make it on time. Just some advice definitely confirm they will be open and make sure the business hours match your pick up time so your not thrown off as well. On the other hand I'm giving this 4 stars because the cake was absolutely delicious I received many compliments at the party and the way it was decorated was more than I anticipated. I was pleasantly surprised when I seen it. The chocolate mousse inside was delicious and the buttercream was the perfect sweetness and not overdone. As someone who normally doesn't like sweets or cake this made me take another bite. Everyone at the party even hard critics asked where I purchased this from. The second thing for Red bank Being usually very expensive this cake was very affordable for the amount of work and quality and quantity. I was expecting a higher quote for this cake. The pricing of this place is very low. My boyfriend was really surprised and loved it. So although I had a bad experience in the beginning I ended up getting a beautiful cake at a great price. I would order again all in all. Thanks cupcake.
I had high hopes for this place because it checked off all the boxes for a good spot. High ratings, great people, and solid looking product. One of the featured cupcakes was the bacon topped cupcake. What an interesting combo but unfortunately it wasn't for me. The peanut butter cupcake was better and had a little surprise inside with even more peanut butter. My wife ordered the red velvet cupcake as well. The cake part of all the cupcakes were moist and perfectly done. The issue I had was the frosting. It tasted like eating butter. There was something off with the balance of the frosting. The lady in there was really nice and the service as a whole was awesome. The cupcakes all looked great and the cake park was nicely done. I couldn't get over the fact that the frosting tasted like I was eating a stick of butter. I wish them the best!
I visited Cupcake Magician last week with some friends. The cute little storefront held so many different flavors of cupcakes. It was so hard to choose which flavors I wanted. In the end I chose the Salted Caramel chocolate cupcake . It was scrumptious. My friends had a few other flavors and enjoyed them as well!
Drool. This place is amazing. Such a variety of flavors - and apparently they had even more pre-covid. The cupcakes are moist and flavorful. They have cupcakes with stuffing in the middle and without. They also have a selection of gluten free cupcakes. I tried the Caramel Apple and Raspberry Cream - both are unbelievably delicious. He had the peanut butter cup and Oreo and thoroughly enjoyed them. I plan to come back and try at least a dozen more.

I ate a bit of the Boston Creme, it was ok basically a chocolate iced vanilla cupcake with a dollop of "creme" aka the best part. It needed a lot more of that to qualify as Boston Creme in my opinion. Cookies and Cream was solid and the funfetti wasn't bad. The cupcakes overall just didn't seem that fresh. Not sure I'd return.
RUN, don't walk to this cupcake shop!! I was searching Yelp for a bakery that had gluten free cakes/cupcakes and stumbled upon Cupcake Magician. In a pinch to find a dessert for a family member's birthday (who has a gluten allergy), I placed an order for a dozen cupcakes. I was able to place an order for 6 gf carrot cake cupcakes and 6 chocolate cupcakes. When I went to pick up the cupcakes, I also purchased 5 specialty, non-gluten free cupcakes. They looked too good to resist! I purchased the cannoli, raspberry truffle, black and white milkshake, cookie dough and strawberry shortcake. We had all the cupcakes the day after and they were FANTASTIC!! You wouldn't even know they were gluten free!! The carrot cake was definitely everyone's favorite but the chocolate was still very delicious. For individuals following a gluten free diet, the chocolate cake tastes just like a Devil Dog! The specialty flavors were also very delicious. I cannot wait to go back!

I ordered a half dozen and really enjoyed the oreo, cappuccino and red velvet ones. If you're looking for good cupcakes I definitely recommend checking out Cupcake Magician.
Cupcake Magician catered dessert for my daughter's baby shower. I have never had so many guests ask "Where did you get these cupcakes? They're amazing!" They truly are amazing, incredible, and WOW! Best. Cake. Ever. Wow! Loved the goodnight moon cake they made for my son's 1st birthday. It tasted absolutely delicious- so moist & yummy and not overly sweet. The owner couldn't be more charming and friendly. So many styles of cuppa cakes! I see coconut so I know what I shall get today! So delicious. Boston cream cuppa cake was also divine! I went in looking to order a cake for a surprise party after The Flaky Tart closed, leaving us scrambling last minute! I sampled 3 flavors and landed on the tiramisu flavor cupcake. I ordered a 12 inch cake of this flavor and they delivered a massive and gorgeous cake. When you see a cake that size you worry about it being dry, but that was not the case. This cake was so moist and flavorful, and that marscapone filling- TO DIE FOR. Thank you for creating such delicious cakes!! We will definitely use them again :) read more

Came in here today just to get out of the sun but of course I peaked at the cupcake case and saw a Lemon cupcake with curd in the center. Well the curd did not taste like curd it was more pastry cream. None of it had much Lemon taste but by far as a regular vanilla cupcake it was fine. The other one that caught my eye was the Magical Unicorn cupcake. Funfetti cake, rainbow icing, glitter and pearls. The cake was a bit denser then the Lemon. Other then that they tasted very similar. The Unicorn and rainbows are so trendy right now for some weird reason but can't last that long. Kids will love the look of this one. Unfortunately the box got dropped on the ground and the picture is horrible. My apologies, the store did not pack these like that. They also have a few gluten free cupcakes. And all cupcakes are reasonably priced at $2.50 read more

My sister stopped by to check out Cupcake Magician. They happened to have gluten-free cupcakes ready to buy. She brought me this cupcake, and it was perfect! The icing is so light and smooth! The salt really hits your tastebuds at first, then the caramel, and your left with these lingering flavors plus chocolate! This is a new favorite for me! read more

I work near another place that sells cupcakes and had to come here because it was closing with their weird hours. I am happy I did because my family enjoyed the cupcakes from here! Ordered the cannoli, mint frosting on chocolate cupcake, Mr. Plain, and Boston creme. Honestly it's one of the better cupcakes I've had in NJ. It's moist, the cupcake frosting isn't too thick, hard, or too sweet. The only cupcake that I wouldn't buy again is the cannoli. The filling isn't in the cake itself, is literally on top of the cupcake serving as the frosting. It was a little overwhelming as I felt like I was eating directly from the piping bag. I definitely would come here again! There are also gluten free and sugar free cupcakes here, but the varieties are limited. read more

I rather have a cupcake than an ice cream, especially from their gluten free case. What a treat! Someone who makes yummy gluten free cupcakes. But not only gluten free bc my family loves all the other cupcakes. Especially the cannoli and the ones with yummy centers. This place does special orders that are beautiful. I bought a couple cupcakes from Cupcake Magician a couple years ago, but I wasn't impressed. I thought the cake was so dry so I never went back. Last week someone I know was telling me how they love Cupcake Magician, and go there for their cupcakes so I decided to give them another try. I purchased three cupcakes a carrot cupcake, a cookie dough cupcake, and a peanut butter explosion cupcake. The cookie dough cupcake was too dry, and I didn't care for the frosting on that one at all. The peanut butter explosion cupcake had a delicious ganache frosting and the peanut butter filling was good, but the cake part was dry so I just ate the top part since I enjoyed the ganache. The carrot cake cupcake was moist, and I found that one to be good. The cake part to the cupcake tasted like it been in their refrigerated case too long. I'm use to going to bakeries that make their cupcakes in small batches like Sweet in Belmar and Sugarush in Red Bank so the cake is always moist because they make them fresh everyday. This bakery has a huge selection of cupcakes, and I came in 15 minutes before close. There was still somewhere around 70 cupcakes on its shelves so I doubt they tossed them all out and made fresh ones for the next day. So I'm guessing that's why two of the cupcakes I bought were dry. I say go to Sugarush in Red Bank were you are guaranteed moist cupcakes. I'll still give them another try since there are many good reviews. The cupcakes all in all were just ok to me. I would of really enjoyed the peanut butter explosion since the stuffing and ganache was delicious if the cake part wasn't dry. Hopefully, next time I'll have better luck here. read more

Whenever my friends and I would go to Red Bank, we usually swore by and stopped at Sugarush for cupcakes and would rave about it to everyone. When we went to Red Bank today, we found out that Sugarush closed down their storefront ops, and we looked for another cupcake place in the area and came across Cupcake Magician. WE HAVE BEEN MISSING OUT. Cupcake Magician is incredible, and their cupcakes are sooooo much better than Sugarush's. The cake was perfectly airy and not dense, and was moist, and the frosting was AMAZING. I can't believe I haven't heard of this place before! Definitely try it out if you're in the area. Their customer service is great, too. 10/10 would recommend read more
