I love going to this place for their oreo shake with boba and grass jelly. My kids also love the chicken strips.

    Menu

Super Yummy The most recommended dish is Pork Belly & popcorn chicken meal! By the way, you should add the braised egg as a side!

Stopped by Cup O' Joy after class and tried their Oolong Milk Tea--and I'm really glad I did! The tea had a smooth, roasted flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the balance of the milk and oolong was spot on. The boba was soft and chewy, just the way I like it. The vibe inside was chill and welcoming, with plenty of space to sit and hang out or get some work done. It seems like a perfect little study break spot if you're around USC. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Definitely planning to come back and try more of their menu--probably the popcorn chicken next time.

This place had a pretty wide selection of crafted drinks including coffee and boba. But I have to be honest, I've been coming here for one thing and one thing only. The sea salt foam top coffee!!! It's is absolutely delicious. They also have finger food if you're in the go. Always great service and friendly staff.

their drinks aren't the best but the popcorn chicken is one of the best i've ever had.

A solid boba spot! It's hard to find decent boba in the area and this spot does it well! I've gone here multiple times and the tea here is solid. The drinks are around $5.50 for the regular size and toppings/size upgrades are an extra $.50. The mango green tea is a sweet and filling drink option that anyone will like. I adjusted the tea to 50% sweetness and it was perfect for my taste. I also tried the fresh lemon mint green tea and it's so refreshing. This drink was perfect for a hot summer day and it really hit the spot. There's a small parking lot where the shop is located that you can easily access. It can get a little full, however, because there are other establishments in the same vicinity. Nevertheless, there's still usually ample parking. Please check out this boba spot if you're in the area!

I got the popcorn chicken ( hot and medium). It was alright. My usual spot Pine and Crane has better popcorn chicken imo. Was looking at the reviews and expecting like "wow" reaction but not really. A lot chicken for a portion which is a good thing. I also got kiwi tea and taro milk. The kiwi tea is pretty good. Not too sweet. The taro milk is okay. The boba is the soft, not too chewy kind. Not the best boba place I've ever tried but it's not bad.

Rose Milk Tea with jasmine tea

This place was not messing around when a name was chosen. So much joy coming out of this spot. The person at the register was just the sweetest and so helpful in helping me choose exactly the flavor I wanted! He took his time in making multiple custom recommendations. Ambiance - a little crowded but that means they're loved. Service - see above. The best! Boba - fresh boba balls and the rose/jasmine milk tea combo we came up with was exactly the right amount of flowery. And the lactáid will keep this girly bubbly gut free.

I got the brown sugar boba with almond milk. It was so good. I also got food: spring rolls, fried tofu, & fries. The food was alright. I would not come back for the food, but for the boba, heck yeah! I ate inside & it was okay. Clean. Staff was friendly.

Small for a medium cup of joy

Ordered a strawberry mint green tea. Nothing particularly stands out except that it was over $5.97 for this drink--no extra, not even boba. Strawberry syrup added to green tea. Not worth it. You have to compare it with the standards--cup of Cha in Monrovia or SunRight.

Oolong Tea with Fresh Milk, Fresh Orange Green Tea, Mushroom Meat Noodle
    Audrey F.

Heads up if you go here - the parking lot is small and Starbucks customers create a huge line in the parking lot. Other than that, Cup O' Joy is a great, casual boba spot that also has a decently sized menu of Taiwanese food. I tried the fresh milk with oolong, fresh orange green tea, and mushroom meat noodle. I appreciated that along with the milk teas made with creamers that they had tea options made with real milk and with real fruits. The orange green tea was definitely the standout of what I got. It was very citrusy and not too sweet. The noodles were a good sized portion and the marinated tea egg had lots of flavor. Service is very friendly as well.

Covid19 delivery review: I always have random cravings and today it was tea eggs. I couldn't find it anywhere else but this restaurant. So I got the sausage and popcorn chicken and I'm almost sure that the popcorn chicken would've tasted much better if I had it fresh but the delivery time made the food a bit cold already. This is out of the restaurants control but it was still good. Now the egg, it was rock hard and taste like it's been left out forever. I also ordered dumplings which was okay. Nothing special.

Underrate boba place! A lot of my mutuals always hype up the other boba place, but this one is really good. I decided to try it out after a friend said the popcorn chicken was really good. And it was! They give a lot for a really good price, and the chicken bits are big. I have had the strawberry milk tea and the honeydew milk tea and cannot wait to try more! There's a lot on the menu and the seasonal drinks look very interesting and fun.

The hot and sour soup was thick and chunky, just how I like the soup. The scallion bread sandwich with 5-spice beef was distinct. The bread was perfectly baked and the beef was flavorful and juicy. There was both mustard greens and pickles that gave crunch and acidity to balance the meat and bread. The lotus root salad was refreshing while still having a kick from their in-house chili oil. Dan Dan noodles were also excellent. Fresh cucumbers, chewy noodles, flavorful sauce. Hearty portions with enough for a lunch the next day. Also appreciated the speed of service. Lines move quickly and food comes out quickly. Looking forward to my next visit!

I recall attempting to visit here once at 7pm on a weekday, but immediately walking away because of how busy it was. My expectations for Asian food are quite high since I grew up in the SGV, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Joy! Dan Dan Noodles: Amazing noodle texture with very rich, flavorful peanut sauce. Is it not spicy and sweeter compared to traditional Sichuan versions of Dan Dan Noodles. I would pair this with the chili sauce for that extra kick. Braised Pork Rice: This particular dish did not stand out to me, but I have seen other great reviews about it so maybe it was just an off-day. The flavors were a little bland and it simply did not stand out to me. There are definitely better braised pork rices out in the SGV. Thousand Layer Pancake with Egg & Cheese: So packed with flavor while the outside was nicely flaky. It did not feel overly greasy whatsoever and I loved the inclusion of melted cheese. Hakka Mochi: The mochis did not have any filling inside of them, but they were overflowing (in a good way) with black sesame and peanut powder on top of it. They were so warm, chewy, and moist!

Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. When first looking at the menu we were shocked by the prices. I knew immediately i wanted to get the hui tou potstikers with pork and noodles. We ended up adding on the hongkong style wontons too. To my suprise the wontons arrived in a delicious and warm broth, keeping them perfectly moist and plump. The broth was so delicious even on a hot day, tasting faintly of sesame and scallion. Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. I started with the house made chili oil dumplings and they were unreal. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and the chili oil with black vinegar was so good I ended up using it on everything. The staff was incredibly kind and happily gave me extra sauce when I asked. The spicy beef noodle soup was the standout. The beef was insanely tender and the broth was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The noodles had great texture and held up well in the soup. I also tried the Chengdu zajiang noodle and loved it. The sauce had that numbing spice and deep flavor, and the egg on top made it even better. Every bite felt intentional and well executed. The pickled cucumbers deserve their own mention. Crunchy, tangy, and full of flavor, easily some of the best I have had, even better than Din Tai Fung. On top of all that, they offer great deals after 3pm with discounted noodles and half off beer. MIAN is easily one of the best noodle spots around and I would come back without hesitation.

This place definitely smacks; I'm always getting me some beef noodles with L1 (a littleeee spice) and M1 (a little numbing oil) and it's perfect for my dainty tastebuds. The service is usually pretty quick, but they do a lottt of meal-making during happy hour (3-6) so it's arguably a little slower then. The ambiance is pretty spare, with some placemats that explain mung bean soup and some lower-key Chinese decor throughout. It's a simple place, but it really does get the job done. I'll be back!
