Such great service from the young man taking our order to the women making our esquites! My husband and I are not from our the area but I quickly searched on Yelp for some elote. Xtra Biónicos Allexis made the biggest impact on me. We got to the location and it was very colorful. Love the photos of all the items. Once we entered, the smell of fresh fruit and cleanliness reassured us about our decision. We got two esquites, a mango slush (mangoneada), and Churos con chile. We are going make the 30 minute ride for these esquites and of course the service. Quick, fast, easy. Thank you for your service! Much success ahead! read more

My hunny introduced me to this place and I'm sure he's sorry about that, because the last few times we've been in the area, I've been wanting to stop, lol! It's like my mouth instantly starts salivating as soon as we start coming into LA on the 110! I've had bionicos before, but it had been a long time. This place really reminded me that I need to have it more often... The minute you step in, you smell fresh fruit concoctions that are so heavenly, you don't know what to get! Where you've made up your mind about one thing on the menu, you quickly flip around because there are so many refreshing choices! The bionicos is generally made with set fruit choices, but you can take away or add whatever you like. I usually choose apples, pineapple, mango, bananas, granola, and that crack coconut that they have. I tell them to remove the raisins and cantaloupe. I don't care for either. To be honest, I normally don't like coconut, except for pina coladas on the beach, but the one that they use here...I don't know what they have in it, but that shit has got to have crack or some other addictive agent in it! It is SO, SO good! They stay busy and on hot days, be prepared for a little pile up! They quickly prepare your choices and keep it moving. Customer service is on point, too! They are always friendly and appreciative of your business. They're located in a little run down strip mall, but please do not let that deter you! It's totally worth it! read more

Good place to grab a snack. The people are friendly and the prices are decent. I always get esquites, which is toasted corn with mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, lime, and butter and chili flakes if you want. Really good. I also recently tried the Bionicos which comes with chopped fruit, with sweet crema on top (really good), topped with granola, raisins, and shredded coconut. Their cucumber melon juice is really good too! I'll definitely be back to try more things. read more

It's getting 2 stars for the watermelon agua fresca that was good, the churros locos please don't do it!! They don't put Clamato in it which is a first for me and the churros they use are the thinnest and hardest churros I have ever seen they don't use sombrilla churros like "original churros locos" would. So, my cousin has been raving about this place ever since she moved around Adams. After telling me about it, I decided to come in today 7/29. I came in with my son. He's a big fan of magoñadas. So he got an order of that. I on the other hand got a bionico. Topped with yogurt, raisins, apples, banana and granolas. I gotta say, it was amazing. I tried my sons mangoñada, and it was delish!!! After getting my bionico, I stuck my fork in grabbed a chopped apple cover in yogurt, and I gotta say it was amazing. They had other things on the menu, but I'll save that for later. Highly recommend this place. I was told it can get hectic during the rush. The place is small. read more

I'm a huge fan of the "diablitos" (mango, shaved ice, a bunch of sweet and spicy flavors) and therefore always in search for local shops that make these. I stumbled across Xtra on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The shop is tucked inside a corner plaza located on Adams Blvd and Budlong. On my first visit I tried their nachos with cheese and jalapeños (awesome!) my girlfriend had a small esquite (corn, mayo, lime juice) she described as the best she's had!! The diablito was very flavorful, included a hint of lime that made it so tasty. The end result was empty containers being deposited in the trash can because we demolished out snacks! Highly recommend! Like the terminator said "I'll be back"!! read more

A few days ago I went to this place to check it out and I have to say this place was a disappointment I took the Biggest L of my life. I ordered Hot Cheetos with Cheese, 2 Frescos de Piña and an order of Nachos with "meat" for $15. The price seemed reasonable at first, but then realized it was expensive for what they gave me.
