The area where people should be able to sit and eat
Karen G.

It's a great little establishment. It's small but quaint the food is not bad I just needed to eat something so I ordered a grilled cheese and ham sandwich. My friend had baby pancakes and beef sausages. The coffee is good we couldn't sit at a table because the lady said she had to clean the area. It's now 2:27 what time will people be able to sit at a table?

Blueberry Pancakes with 1 Eggs and Meat

Stop right here - this is the unassuming diner food you've been looking for. The pancakes are AMAZING, the bacon is the best I have had in a long time, and the price is right. You can park on the side street (it's on a corner) and use Park mobile app. After a few disappointing and overpriced casino breakfasts, this is it. The best breakfast in AC.

Spinach and feta cheese omelette and beef tacos

The owners Daphne and Arly are attentive and kind. The coffee is excellent! Beef tacos with homemade tortillas slightly toasted, spinach and feta cheese omelette with fresh spinach and ingredients baked in.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE FAKE REVIEWS!! This place is horrible they took forever to cook the food. The banana pancakes weren't blend in enough and the bananas on top were super old. The meat inside the burrito breakfast looked like dog food. Also, they extra charged me $0.50 for each syrup

Chilaquiles Verdes with 2 Eggs

We are from Texas and miss the authentic Mexican food. We gave this place a try after being hung over and omg. ITS AMAZING. So what if you have to wait a little bit, I saw reviews that complained of this. Grow up. There's only one cook and she's super sweet. The food is made to order so it's nice and hot when it gets to you! The husband got what's pictured and I loved it so much that I got a spoon and put the sauce on the deal(which is what I ate). Omg. Amazing amaZing amazing. It is spicy but worth it!

2 of the 3 fruit flies inside the syrup.

The food was great, but noticed this as the waitress sat our syrup down on the table. The syrup bottle has (at least) 3 fruit flies inside. I couldn't believe my eyes and had to take photos. Also, I ordered pineapple pancakes and sadly only received regular pancakes.

It was good and inexpensive. I'd give it 3.5 but can't really go all the way to 4. The Captain's Special was a good choice.

The menu is large and has all of the brunch classics that you could want. They also have a huge dining area with a ton of seating. I kept it pretty classic with a breakfast platter. The portion was enormous with a ton of eggs (felt like at least four eggs), three big pieces of sausage, and lots of slices and toast and home fries on the side. They have lots of fun brunch drinks too. Service was great and they constantly came over to check on us and refill drinks. A great option for a hearty breakfast after a night out.

The dining area was bustling, but the tables were spread out enough that the crowd was not intrusive. We again ordered a pot of their rich French press coffee, which was the potent kick we needed. For my meal, I went with the Egg White Omelet with baby spinach, tomatoes, and a substitute of mushrooms for what was supposed to have been fresh mozzarella. I asked for the omelet to be cooked "well-done" and not runny, and it came out absolutely perfect. It was served with some of the best home fries I had ever had. They were well-seasoned and not too greasy. Even the unbuttered whole wheat toast was of good quality. Harper's is definitely one of our favorite places to eat in the Ocean Resort.

Very Disappointing -- Borgata Has Really Gone Downhill…read more I visited the Borgata buffet over Labor Day weekend with my family of four, and the total was close to $200. Unfortunately, for that price, I honestly felt that we would have been better off going to a regular restaurant with better tasting food. I hadn't been to the Borgata buffet in a very long time. I remember when it was around $30-$35 per person, and I had much better memories of the food. That's why it was especially disappointing to see how much it seems to have declined. There were a few highlights. The gelato was very good, and I will say the dessert section seems to have improved. The salmon was probably the standout savory dish. The platanos, waffles, pork ribs, and meatballs were also good. The General Tso's chicken was decent as well. Unfortunately, those positives were outweighed by the negatives. There wasn't even much of a fruit selection anymore, which was surprising for a buffet at this price point. The sushi rice wasn't prepared properly all mushy and the shrimp cocktail didn't taste particularly fresh. The seasoned shrimp was also far too salty. The seafood section was particularly disappointing. The clams were so salty that they were essentially inedible, and whoever seasoned the mussels simply did not get the seasoning right. These are not particularly complicated dishes, so it was surprising to see them executed so poorly. The fried foods were also hit or miss. Some batches looked cooked on the outside, but the shrimp inside were still undercooked and appeared almost raw. Some of the vegetables, such as the zucchini, were noticeably undercooked as well. The steak was very tough, while the prime rib was extremely bland and lacked flavor. The Chinese section, aside from the General Tso's chicken, was particularly disappointing. The pasta dishes, including the macaroni and cheese over cooked and tasteless w alfredo being was oddly sweet was extremely underwhelming. And honestly, this is what surprised me most about the entire experience. It's not as though the buffet has an enormous number of dishes that would make it impossible to maintain quality. The selection is relatively limited, and many of the individual dishes are not particularly difficult to prepare. Yet so many of them were either poorly seasoned, undercooked, overcooked, bland, or simply not executed well. When you have a smaller selection of dishes, you would expect those dishes to be done really well. Instead, it felt like there were only a handful of things that were actually worth eating. That is what made the experience so surprising and disappointing. Overall, a large majority of the food was simply not good enough to justify going to a buffet. At nearly $200 for four people, I expected significantly better quality and consistency. What made this experience even more disappointing is that this was my parents' first time staying at the Borgata. Unfortunately, the food experience was poor enough that it actually made them less interested in wanting to stay at the hotel again. When you're spending money on a casino resort, the dining experience is part of the overall experience--and a bad meal can definitely affect whether you want to return. Borgata used to be one of my favorite places to go in Atlantic City, so I really wanted to like it. But after this visit, I'm not sure I would choose it over newer properties like Hard Rock or Ocean Casino Resort. Those properties may be newer, but at this point, I think I'd rather spend my money there than return to this buffet. Overall: very disappointing, especially considering the price and what I remember Borgata being like in the past.

We drove there and the place is small there's about 4 small tables to sit and eat at. Our waitress Makiyah was nice as she took our orders. My son ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, and French toast which he devoured. I ordered scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage gravy, and turkey bacon, which was good and hubby ordered scrambled eggs, ham, home fries with toast. And we all wash it down with a nice cold Snapple. If you are looking for a reasonable spot in the Atlantic City area, check them out, I do recommend. It will do the trick. Cheers

7/8/24 We needed an…read moreinexpensive breakfast since we've spent way too much for breakfast in the resorts. So I googled and yelped somewhere close or on our way out of AC. We had to park in the strip malls parking lot and walk over. The area is a little sketchy, I would not want to walk through in the dark... We got to the restaurant and it really is a hole in the wall! There were several fans on high, no AC. We almost turned around and walked out, but we were hungry and it's just breakfast, it shouldn't take long. There are 4 two seater tables and 1 that can hold 3 but has supplies on it. There was just another couple there when we walked in. As we ordered and waited a party of 3 and 4 walked in and grabbed the other tables. Another party of 3 sat at the bigger table but walked out after a few mins. Too bad for them, they missed a good breakfast. 2 meat platter - Corned Beef Hash and Sausage with 2 Eggs, Home fries and Toast - corned beef was crispy, unlike other places that serve them soggy. Home fries were delicious, I usually never touch them, but these were so good. The 2 Eggs were nicely seasoned, you don't see that elsewhere. Shrimp and Grits were perfect - I honestly was not expecting fried shrimp but it works and was really good. The grits were perfect, not watery and not dry, also seasoned so I didn't have to fight with the bowl to flavor it lol Watermelon Lemonade - I like finding different flavors of soda/juice not usually found in north Jersey/NYC area hehehe Mike was nice a nice guy. Definitely give him a try, you won't regret it.
