This was my first legit Indian restaurant so I don't have anything to compare it too but I got the coconut curry chicken and it was delicious. It wasn't too sweet and the rice was good. Of course I ordered naan bread because how can you not? The naan was really good. I think my only complaint is that the coke was flat but it normally is (for us picky coke drinkers) anywhere you go which is why I don't normally get it. Ordered this to take into work for my turn buying lunch. The naan bread was excellent. I had the vindaloo with lamb. The flavor was excellent. Tons of flavor, but didn't have the heat I expected from Indian. It was ordered with a medium spice level. Typically I'd expect medium spicy Indian to be quite hot. Very little heat, but excellent flavor. The tikka masala chicken was also good, as was the included rice. I'll definitely try this again, but I will get it "hot" level of spice next time. read more

Stopped in for lunch and the food was very delicious, with great service. I love when I have enough for another meal. I asked for another order of the garlic naan and sauce for the vegetables and rice to take home. Just a bit more cost, but that sauce I could eat a bowl, it's so tasty. This was one of the best Indian spots I've been to, great selection of dishes from classics like Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer and Veg Pakora to some dishes you rarely see on a buffet like Chicken Korma. All had a little spice to it so it wasn't bland. The buffet was very clean and everything was fresh and hot. Staff was friendly and took time to come to your table to check on you and brought you fresh naan to go with your meal. Prices were very reasonable to for the experience and quantity. 17$ a person. I am always on the hunt for good Indian food so when I saw this place while running errands at Easton, I knew I had to stop in and try it. We started with the samosa chaat which was really freaking tasty. A little light on the yogurt than other chaat's I've had and a little spicier but still had wonderful flavor. We got the chicken curry and the chicken tikka masala. Both were delicious. The curry is probably the best I've ever had. It was so tasty and the meat was so tender. I thought the tikka was more on the sweater side than I'm used too but it was still really good. We did the breadbasket which came with plain, onion and garlic naan. It was HUGE and for sure worth the price for two as opposed to ordering individual pieces for ourselves. The service was top notch and the place was very clean. My only complaint is that the dishes were a little light on the meat. There were only a couple pieces of chicken in the entire curry bowl. read more

FINALLY!!!! After years of looking for quality Indian food in the Gahanna/Easton area, the foodie gods have blessed us with this gem. Cumin & Curry (located in the space previously occupied by Pei Wei) has become an instant favorite. My husband (an Englishman from London) has been desperate to find Indian food in Columbus to replace what he was used to in the UK (I.e. Brick Lane). Within 3 bites of our lunch today, he smiled and said to me "This is the best Indian buffet I think I've ever had." Whoa. This is a huge compliment. I'd have to agree. Everything we tried on the buffet was hot, fresh, and full of spice and flavor. Too often with lunch buffets, I find that the dishes are bland, appear hastily prepared, and leave little impression. This was NOT the case at Cumin & Curry. Every dish was beautifully presented and the flavor perfect. We loved the fresh naan that was brought to our table as well! Wow. I thought maybe the other reviews were inflated, and I'm hesitant about giving 5 stars to a buffet, but this was great. It's not the best Indian food I've ever had, but it's up there, and it's definitely amazing for buffet food. I went for lunch, and maybe you can order off the menu then but I went straight for the buffet. Price was very reasonable. They close at 230 or so to take down the buffet, and normally that kind of closure works against me in terms of timing. But today it worked out, and it was well worth it. Large selection of the standards, very well done. Tandoori chicken, curry chicken, saag paneer, etc. I tried some of everything, and have a hard time picking favorites. They brought a basket of naan to the table, which was nice. Some of the items were moderately spicy, so watch out if you are not into that. Service was great, though of course minimal for the buffet. The space is warm and comfy, with plenty of tables and booths. I'll be back. I didn't know they were around before, so I can't say I'm glad they're back, but I'm glad they're here now. read more

Came here for dinner after a long day in Easton. Was surprised that this place was more on the casual end. You order up front and pick up your food when your pager starts to buzz. My friend and I sat down at one of their booths and one of the workers brought us complimentary indian crackers. It came with a sweet and savory tamarind sauce and a spicy cilantro sauce. I ordered the chicken konka vindaloo. You have the option to get it mild, medium, or hot. I was in the mood for something spicy so I opted for medium. I also ordered a side of garlic naan. My friend ordered the konkan seafood masala. When we picked up our food, we were shocked at how huge the portions were! The curry came in a sizable bowl and on the side was a giant bowl of rice. Dishes were definitely sharable. Curry had great flavor and there were huge chicken pieces in mine. Only thing was my curry was not spicy to me. The spice level was more of a really light mild. Naan bread had fresh garlic and was very yummy. My friend really liked her food, only suggestion was that she wished the shrimp in her curry was deveined. There are take out containers in the back by the water for you to pack your leftovers home. We definitely had enough food for another meal. I've had a few recommendations from friends to try the Tikka Masala paired with Garlic Naan and Lamb Biryani. The lamb was a bit tough to chew but otherwise it was SO delicious. The portions are large and I was able to feed 3 other people. The spice will kick though, even the mild, so be sure to have a taste of the side Raita that comes with the biryani. I saw Cumin & Curry while leaving Easton and decided to come back with my Dad. We decided to eat outside the weather was beautiful and the outside patio was nice. For an appetizer I ordered the Samosa. I had heard of these before and couldn't wait to try them. The dish included 3 Samosas with a mint chutney and a tangy chutney. The Samosa had a delicious pastry crust with a filling that included potatoes, peas dipped in the sauce these were delicious!!!! I ordered the Tandoori Shrimp it came with rice, cup salad and sauce. The shrimp was grilled with onions and peppers and dipped in the sauce was amazing. This dish had TONS of flavor with herbs and spices. My Dad ordered the Shrimp Kadai and loved it. Hands down best Indian food in Columbus. All the food Tastes authentic. We often get the veg pakora, samosa, chaat, paneer saag, malai kurta, and variety of meat entrees as well. We haven't had anything bad. Our issue is usually trying to decide which of the naans were in the mood for. I highly recommend ordering the garlic naan. It isn't too garlicky and is covered in fresh cilantro - yum. Aside from the food, the service was speedy as you order at the counter then wait at your table. This is a great place for a quicker meal (30-45 minutes) or carryout.
