Food is supposed to be made to order. I went there day 2 and after paying my food was brought out - before I even got in the wait line - burger lukewarm and veggies on it were soggy as if it was sitting waiting for someone. Cheese curds - same lukewarm, not hot and freshly made. Not a good representation. I'm from Wisconsin, have had many Culver's and thought it was a good thing they are here but not going back. Couldn't get through on phone to even let someone know - and I picked it up on break from work so couldn't go run back there. So went back Saturday with my husband - They have a bad issue with how they are running the drive through traffic. I almost got hit twice by people driving in and trying to cut into the long line of cars from around the other side of the restaurant. When I said something to the young person at the window the person who claimed to be a "manager" (she was in a blue top so not a manager) got nasty with me about it. At first she told me that the 'kids' working there are too young to direct traffic, I suggested they hire security or have a manager go out there (but Chick-fil-A has their staff outside directing)...She then told me 'why don't you pay for security'. Wow never again. So when a real manager (in a grey top) came to the window she apologized and said she'd have a talk with the girl who claimed to work for them over 20 years. Thing is, they don't realize it's a liability on them the way they are neglecting the issues in their parking lot (not the street) - if one of their customers walking out of the restaurant gets hit because it's chaotic there it's on them. As for the food that second time - I got a refund. I'm not going to be disrespected by some idiots working a drive thru who have no clue about what good customer service is. They opened this in an area that is questionable at best and the attitude of those brought in from other stores has no clue what type of people they are dealing with in Tallahassee. read more

My goodness! I have wanted to come check this place out, but I'm never on this side out town. Today I had a craving for a burger and decided to make the trek over to Culver's. I'm so glad I did! I got bacon deluxe burger with mushrooms added, a small butter pecan custard and pretzel bites. That burger was delicious!! The best tasting fast food burger I've had in a long time. And it was hearty with all of the veggies. Then. the butter pecan custard. Oh wow that was good! It was so rich. By the time I finished it I was too full to try the pretzel bites. This is my first time trying Culver's since it opened. I would have to say I had high expectations after reading other people's reviews. After trying the food I think the food is overhyped and over priced. The burger was the thinnest piece of meat I've ever had to the point I think I was eating charred leftovers from the grill. My biggest issue I have with the food is the lack of flavor. On a positive note, the cheese curds were the best part of the meal. I wouldn't come here on a regular basis but once in a while if you want some mediocre fast food this would be the place to go. read more

So I jumped on the Culver's train when I had to make a detour. Having never been there before but reading the hype in Tallahassee foodies, I knew that I was in for a treat. I ordered two combo burgers, one double with bacon and the other a single. I delivered the single one but still had a long drive home before I could bite into mine. During the trip, I did make the delicious onion rings disappear! They were perfect. I am not a French fry fan but I did steal one or two before delivering the first meal - for experimental purposes only. They are crinkle cut and crispy. My double burger with cheese, grilled onions and bacon was good even though it wasn't hot. (Not the store's fault but mine for living so far out in the country). I will say that it is a good, solid burger. I'll be back to get one of their custards they are known for and even sit inside. My only wish is that they carried coke products instead of Pepsi. read more

I went to Culver's opening day today and it was definitely better than expected. I was definitely expecting things to be a little rocky considering it was its opening day, but it was way better than I could hope. The line moved fast, and while we were in line we were given menus to speed things along. My bf got the butter burger deluxe with fries while I got the single butter burger with cheese curds. I got a strawberry shake and he got a brownie peanut butter shake! The burgers were delicious and the bun was nice and soft. The cheese curds were alright they tasted more like mozzarella sticks and were not as gooey as others I've had. My Minnesotan bf was a bit underwhelmed with the cheese curds as well! Signed said they close at 10. We pulled up at 915, and the place was packed. Went in, waited in a rather long line but it went pretty quick. Order our custard and sat down. They brought it to us, and it was delicious. At 930 they locked the front doors, and I felt bad for those trying to get in because the sign said open until 10. Absolutely delighted! I'm from the Midwest and I am so happy to finally have a Culver's here in Tallahassee. I went on opening day which can be risky, but I was definitely not disappointed. The lines were really long and the parking lot was packed, but I really didn't have to wait long at all. The staff are really efficient and kept things moving. The food was delicious!! I had the single patty mushroom swiss burger, cheese curds, and a vanilla malt shake. It's only been two days and I can't wait to go back for more. Dropped in on a whim on the way home since the parking lot was not full. There were quite a few cars in the drive thru & a few people dining inside. It's your typical hamburger joint where you order your food at the counter and they'll bring your order to you. The beef patties are thin so order double patties. The fries were perfectly fried, crunchy & not greasy. The mountain dew had plenty of carbonation but no flavor so I dumped it out & tried the lemonade, still no flavor. I think someone forgot to change out the tanks or bags. Others around me were eating ice cream, which looked pretty good. If I do come back I'll try their desserts. read more

Recently stopped at a Culver's in San Destin/Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and ordered a fish sandwich which was supposed to be served with cheese, lettuce and tartar sauce. It cost about $7.99. The sandwich I got was nothing but a slab of fish on a bun with maybe a dot of tartar sauce, possibly 3 slivers of lettuce and no more than 1/4 of a slice of cheese all at the very end of the bun. Was very disappointed and felt totally ripped off. Will not dine at any Culver's again! read more

So far, very impressed with Culver's. I've been twice and I plan on going back again very soon. Great menu variety and they've done a great job with staffing during their grand opening week or so. I had the bacon and cheeseburger my first visit and the fish sandwich on my second. The burger was good but not great. I would compare it to a better version of Steak and Shake. The patties are on the thin side and cooked well but were seasoned nicely and had a good crust. I was more impressed by the fish sandwich which they say is "hand cut" cod. Perfectly fried and had excellent taste and texture. Highly recommend, not your typical fast food quality fish sandwich. I've had the onion rings which were good and the cheese curds. I'm not a cheese curd expert so I don't have too much to compare them too but I would try again. The level of customer service has been very impressive so far. Hopefully they can keep it up over time. I haven't tried the "famous" frozen custard yet but my daughter said her strawberry milkshake was very good. I'm rounding up to five stars because of the excellent staffing and service. I think this franchise is locally owned so that may be a good sign. read more

My partner and I have been waiting to try this place for a while but the line has always been ridiculously long. Sometimes this means a place is good, other times it means it's new and there's that new excitement present. It's the latter. After waiting for a long time for the line to be manageable and then waiting a long time in line the food left a lot to be desired. Aside from being cold, the burger was completely tasteless. It lacked any flavor whatsoever. The cheese curds at Zaxby's are better and I don't even like Zaxby's in general. Don't bother with the line and don't bother when there isn't one. I took my son here for a milkshake and I got a concrete mixer. I was really looking forward to it because we had tried Culver's for the first time in Tampa and loved it! When the girl finally brought us our order after waiting at least 15 minutes after placing our order, I asked her which item was which since they looked similar (both chocolate and had the same kind of open lid.) She said she didn't know because she didn't know what I ordered. I also wasn't given a receipt or napkins. When we went to try our treats, BOTH were melty messes. My "concrete" mixer was basically mix-in soup. It was inedible because the custard was straight liquid with all of the mix-ins sitting on the bottom of the cup. I have a feeling it had been made earlier and was just sitting on a counter somewhere. We won't be going back after that mess. It was a waste of time and money. read more

Ordered single burger baskets, they gave us doubles. The fries were soggy and not salted. Cheese curds were not hot. Salted-caramel malt had no caramel.. it tasted like vanilla. 3 stars for the burgers only, they taste amazing. I wish they'd gotten our order right, the doubles were too big for me. read more

Not very good. Dairy Queen is a lot better than this place. The only thing "fresh"here is the hamburger meat and custard. The mash potatoes and broccoli are portioned in cups, and when ordered, put in the microwave for heat up. Also, their cheese sauce is also portioned, and heated up to order as well. read more

Ordered two meals with cheese curds plus and extra order of cheese curds, pretzel bites and onion rings. Cheese curds were dry and cold not hot (even though we had to wait for our food to be made fresh). One burger was supposed to have bacon and none was there so I went inside to get help must have passed 4 or 5 employees who saw I needed help and not a single one offered. There was a line but most employees were off having personal conversations. I got knocked into by an employee who I told about the issues she handed me two slices of bacon that were pathetic and barely covered a small portion of the double deluxe burger. Pretzel bites were ok and onion rings were fresh (only reason for two stars and not 1). Also no counter employee was properly wearing a mask I mean if they are going to wear it as a chin strap why bother. It appeared the owner was there but does not care to make his staff follow rules or even listen to him, they appear to have big attitudes and do what they want. This is not my first time with a subpar experience at this location. We moved to Tallahassee from Central Florida and the owners and stores there are wonderful never had issues like these. They were always very attentive and if something was wrong staff would fix it and say please wait a moment and they would come apologize and then you could see them actively handle the situation with the staff immediately but there 99% of the time no issues. Literally every visit for 100% of the time there has been an issues with my order and full attitude brought on by the staff. We won't be eating here again as we threw away 3 orders of cheese curds and the food was eh. Pray it gets better as this is not an appropriate representation of what Culver's is. read more

The hamburgers are amazing, but today I was very disappointed. I was with my husband, son and infant. My infant pooped and I went to go change him in the bathroom like I would any other restaurant and to my surprise there was no where for me to change him. That was very upsetting!
