No complaints about this Culver's! We ordered ahead and enjoyed our food in the restaurant while on a roadtrip. The interior dining area and the bathroom were satisfactory. Our chicken-tenders-and-fries kid's meals were tasty (and large enough to be filling as a grown adult!). The only knock I had was that I ordered the flavor of the day as the base of my custard and instead was given vanilla, but I was indifferent to the switch and still enjoyed how much cookie dough topping they gave. I was sitting in the drive through at 1030 pm and low and behold the back door was open like it always is and you can see nice running in and out of the building . Made me instantly pull away and go somewhere else . Was in there the day before and let me tell you the people that work there are not happy with the management, I over heard a couple employees talking about how the manager barely gives breaks and it's only 15 minutes ... Wanted to overcharge me on $1 donation for one scoop day. Cashier said that vanilla custard wasn't eligible for promotion. Told me she'd worked there for three years and it's always only been the scoop of the day. I had to pull up the promotion on the website to show her that Culver's advertised scoop of the day, vanilla, or chocolate As eligible for the promotion. She said that's not what her manager told her. What's going on? Manager doesn't know about the promotion specifics? Trying not to let customer get a scoop for $1? Didn't even go here. A third of our group did and the other 2/3 went to Panda Express. Majority of our group finished the meal before anyone at Culver's got their meals. Panda was also busy so that is not an excuse. When the culver group got their food some of it was missing. A 15 minute trip turned into a 60 minute trip because of the poor service. This is an excellent Culver's location. They are prompt, friendly, and have a clean restaurant. They even offer pup cups of vanilla custard with peanut butter if they notice your dog in the car! I like their veggie cheeseburger and my husband prefers chicken tenders. Cheese curds are a must! read more

Don't even bother, staff might seem nice and all but the food takes forever to make, they don't give you any napkins in the drive through, and their lines are always the longest out of any other place around. The food here is always very high-quality,and there is great variety,especially with the frozen custard! The biggest problem is that too often there are mistakes with the orders,or things forgotten. They may need to invest in better drive-through speakers;usually order accuracy is better when you order inside. I ordered the double mushroom and swiss basket, which is my typical go-to for a quick lunch. The sandwich was extremely sloppy and the cheese looked as though it had been sitting in the sun all afternoon. When I took my first bite, I was even more disappointed. The top bun was very tough to get my teeth through. The whole burger was lukewarm at best. I can't help but thinking back to reading the sign in the drive through that said they make everything to order so it's hot, fresh and worth the wait. It's time this Culver's gets the love it deserves. For the last year during the pandemic we have not eaten inside a restaurant and have been very picky about where to get take out. There aren't a lot of options on the south side of South Bend. So we have gotten Culver's probably 20 times in a year. And every single time they have been super friendly, super efficient and the food always high quality. Anyone who complains about a slow drive thru needs to read the sign in the drive thru that says we make your food AFTER you order it so it is fresh and WORTH the wait. If there are 5 or more cars in line, yes, you're going to wait. And it's worth it. Are they pricey? Yup. If you are shocked the first time, and still go back, don't complain! I think this Culver's compares to chick fil a in customer service as well as quality of food. read more

Love their chicken fingers and onion rings. This location handled mass traffic after the Winter Classic 2019 NHL game well. Being located fairly close to Notre Dame stadium, handling post game masses of people is a must. They did a pretty good job. I also had a Pepsi float with their vanilla custard and it was so good! I highly recommend you try anything with their custard. In the summer, they generally have a lemon ice that is slightly sweet and tart. It is creamy in texture but dairy free! We like Culver's as a treat once in awhile, but not too often because of the fried options (they are hard to pass up) and the Butter Burgers (which are also yummy. They are fast and I have never had any issues with order mix ups. Additionally, the staff here are patient! Can't go wrong with the classic vanilla custard, fries and a burger. First time ever to a Culvers. I tried to make it easy, and ordered a double burger with cheese & bacon. Apparently, I didn't say the magic word, Butterburger. The burgers we got were mediocre and overpriced. $18 for two burgers, two drinks and one fries and one onion rings. The fries & rings were standard lame frozen crap. Great quick stop for post game service was fast. Food was much better quality than McDonald. Table was dirty, but we managed to clean off the table with napkins. It was after a Notre Dame game, so they appeared prepared and attempted to be in top of things. The manager checked in on us and was ready to help customers. I have heard their ice cream is good. We live very close to the Wisconsin border so we're very familiar with good Culver's food & service, that's not what you'll get here. The restaurant was dirty (tables & floors) and you couldn't help but notice the foul stench when you walked in. Later I realized that both the Men's & Women's bathrooms had toilets that wouldn't flush, but weren't marked out of order. Worst Culver's to go to. Was on this side of town and my son wanted a root beer float. So why not go to Culver's. They were rude, try to rip me off, and didn't care about making anything right. They have the worst customer service. The shift lead Maddie is no help. She didn't care to make the situation correct or even try to keep my business. We have visited Culver's many times, love the ice-cream. This afternoon at 4pm we stop to pick up ice-cream after hiking at St Patrick's Park. My husband and I ordered, we were giving number 39 we took a seat. Our friends stopped in the restroom first, after a few minutes they ordered and sat down with us. 10 minutes my later my friends husband went up to check on our order, someone came to our table and asked us what we ordered and said they would be right back. About 4:25 pm someone brought our friends ice-cream, so we thought ours was coming next, it never came, at 4:30 my husband went up a 2nd time to ask about our order, they they said they would start them, about 10 minutes later, a young man brought our ice-cream, set them down forcibly on the table, and said, it was NOT MY FAULT your order was missed. My husbands concert mixer had a mound of ice-cream piled on top of the lid, the cookie dough was not thrown on top, it was not mixed into his mixer. It was a very disappointing experience.
