WHAT WHAT WHAT?!?! I gave fooking fast food and buffets for lent so no Culver's for me. BOO HOO! But when I go I usually have the buy one get one free coupon from the back of a Walmart's receipt. When March 4th comes around I am gonna be more dangerous than bare-backing a $5 whore! Yeah, that dangerous. The last time I was at Culver's I got the Bacon deluxe. It was exceptionally bliss. Everything just tastes so right when you bite down into that cow burger. However, don't be expecting them to be the size of a Whataburger or anything. The fries are okay though. Probably can get them at any high school. Might rate the place 5 stars since this will be the first thing I go for my fast food fix. In a nutshell, Culver's is a rich man's Freddie's Frozen Custard. High prices and employees with super customer service friendly attitudes to the point where they seem robotic and creepy almost. Normally I stop here only for a frozen custard after a hot pizza across the street at Rome's after a busy day at work but I decided to give this place a chance. I had wanted a fish and chips basket but I accidentally ordered a N. Atlantic cod filet basket,not knowing that I had ordered a fish sandwich instead of a dinner. I knew something sounded a bit off when the lady at the counter asked if I had wanted cheese. I got my number and cup and immediately made a beeline for the root beer at the soda fountain. Somebody please tell me WTH do they put in that root beer, crack or something? Because that stuff is addictive! Frothy, bubbly, sweet and tasty. You're crazy if you're not going back for refills! It beats out A&W, Hires, Barq's, Mug and yes,even Schilo's homemade root beer. My fish sandwich combo arrived to my table. I expected a fish/fries dinner combo and got a sandwich and fries instead but I didn't care since I was hungry. The Ore-Ida crinkle cut look a like fries were good and hot just like the fish sandwich. I had to put the sandwich down after taking one bite just to let it cool off. It sucked they don't have hot sauce and malt vinegar bottles for you to pour on the fish. After I scarfed down my fish sandwich and fries I ordered a small chocolate shake. Keep in mind, small runs you about $2, medium $3 and large, well they call it a tall, runs you about $4. Expensive indeed but when you take that first sip of your shake you quickly forget about the money you've spend and revel in the creamy goodness instead. Culver's has THE best shakes...ever! Culver's has lots of good stuff on their menu however I'm not sure if I'd like to try a "butterburger" or "cheese curds". But I would return here than to Freddie's and their mediocre food. I used to work down the street so...It was convienient and damn good. The shakes were really out of this world, made with custard. They also gave you a long list which included: Marshmellow, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberry, oreo, m&m's, butterscotch, chocolate.. lots to choose from. Everything was prepared neatly, which is a rarity. The employees really creeped me out though, they seemed to be in another world. something like a pre-programmed overly nice and courteous androids. I never had a bad experience with anyone being rude or condescending. i guess that explains why my g/f's friends got fired. ha! i have no complaints about this place, i actually miss it. anyway, just try it. the service is great and the food is great. don't forget your cheese curds! read more

Love culvers! The buffalo chicken tenders are the best thing on the menu. A very close second is the double butter burger. The staff here is always so friendly and kind. I used to work in the shopping center across from Culver's so I went there a few times for lunch. The food isn't exceptional. It's not horrible food that you want to spit out the minute you take a bite, but it's not orgasmic. The burgers patties are a bit thin and the fries remind me of fries you get in a big Sam's bag. Not the crunchiest fries but I not deny my love for the crinkle. The frozen custard is by far the best part of Culver's. It's definitely worth trying out. I recently received a coupon in the mail for this place and had to check it out. I've heard of them, apparently it's a popular chain up north, but I didn't even know we had one here in town. Apparently this place is no secret though, because as we drove up the lot was nearly full and the drive thru line remained busy our entire visit. Went for dinner and got their regular cheeseburger deluxe (single, though every burger is available as a single or double), while BF ordered their promo burger, which was the Colby Jack Pub burger. Their value meals are called "baskets" and come with a side of either fries, onion rings, or cheese curds- being the cheeseaholic I am, I opted for the curds while BF went for the crinkle fries. Overall we were very impressed with the customer service here- they had multiple registers open and greeted everyone as they walked in, orders were repeated back for confirmation and clarify, and orders were brought out to your table by another employee- and they even checked in once or twice to see if they could bring you anything like extra condiments, drink refills, or napkins. Pretty snazzy for a fast food place! My burger was pretty standard- hot patty, fresh veggies, good size that was not super huge like most places but just right. BF's burger was another matter entirely, though- being a promo item it was a double-patty burger, with tons of melted cheese oozing out, and a sharp special sauce added in. The lower bun also had a mix of crispy onions and sautéed mushrooms, making it quite the mouthful! I'm sure it was a sinful amount of calories, and it was good, but it was a lot and I'm not sure a side was necessary- as it is, we didn't finish ours. The fries were crinkle-cut but needed salt, and the curds were tasty, too. As we sat, I read over their menu options and promo materials and apparently this place is really big on natural, fresh-never-frozen beef sourced from the Northwest, and gets their cheeses from Wisconsin. Though I didn't try it, I noticed on their menu that they had a rather large selection of soups- again, unusual for a fast food place. Before we left though, we used a BOGO coupon for dessert- their two-scoop sundaes are no joke! They're large, and similar to what you might find at DQ except with frozen custard instead of soft serve- so think more like Freddy's for a good comparison, except this thing was loaded with toppings, no skimping here! Overall, from the large selection of tasty meals and dessert options, to the thorough customer service, this place was surprisingly good! Hands down one of the better fast food places around. Been coming here for awhile and I must say the food is awesome. Anything on the menu taste really good not just the burgers. Service is great! Always treated with a smile and always accomodating. Whenever I pick up drive thru I never have to look at the order cause I know the order is always going to be right. My head swung around and I said what is that....it perked my interest so I made sure I saved enough room in my belly for an afternoon dessert. Got there and I was oooh what do I want. I heard the burgers was pretty good so I had to try it too. I ordered an Single Original Plain with a side of crinkle fries (get outta here) and a Banana Fosters sundae. The bun was soft and burger was great. I loved the fries and the Bananas Foster - oh my Frozen Custard is so much better than ice cream rated at the top next to Haagen Daz. BF and I hit this place up post gun range for some eats and we were not disappointed. He got a burger w bacon and I went with a classic cheeseburger with veggies. Their fries are thick crinkle cut and were good. Out of curiosity, I ordered the cheese curds instead of fries with my meal. They were different and delicious. More flavorful than mozzarella sticks and had a nice crunchy coating. When I saw them I was tempted to request some ranch dressing because that's what we do in Texas but instead I suffered through and ate em plain. They don't need ranch. They are delicious on their own. There was no suffering on my part ;) The store is clean. The staff is courteous and the iced tea was flavorful and fresh. The frozen custard looked interesting. I adore culvers. Had no idea how much I enjoy custard until I went to culvers. The chocolate flavor is the best, and I get the flavor of the day if it is chocolate based. Yummy. Heard lots of good things about their shakes and food. Finally went and was super excited. We walk in immediately got greeted by the staff. It took a while for a decision because they have lots of choices! The cashier grew annoyed that It took a while but didn't bother to offer suggestions. While our $9 worth of shakes was being made, we asked for a water cup bc we wanted water. Im definitely one to only get water when I ask for a specific cup. My man seen that Culver's makes their own root beer, and since it's our first time he fills It up 1/4 of It for us to try. Immediately the cashier grew more upset and walked to us and had a stern voice "that's a water cup, it's only for water. Please dump out the root beer" that was totally fine, she then went by the cashier and began to speak about the conversation with giggles, bad mouthing us to her coworkers. I immediately threw away our milkshakes, such a bad taste in my mouth. Thanks mikylea for ur insulting service. We won't be back. We didn't even get a chance to try the root beer or water. In the future, a "here at Culver's we make our own root beer! You should try It sometime! Culver's is a chain based in Wisconsin, which is made aparent by their emphasis on dairy in their menu -- frozen custard, shakes, malt, "cheese curds", etc. I think their burgers were well prepared, and the menu offers plenty of items not normally found on other fast food burger menus, to include fish, shrimp, pork tenderloin, and soup -- in addition to its extensive dessert menu. The staff is courteous (though, admittedly, sometimes it comes off as being contrived...like they're way too happy to be working there, to the point where it's a little annoying, but not as bad as Cici's Pizza). The service is usually pretty quick, although if you go through the drive-through, they will sometimes prompt you to move ahead so that they can assist other customers. Otherwise, the place is very clean and well kept. The only real problem I have is with their prices, they are almost too steep if you buy them with a combo ($6-7). Even the cheese curds that I'm quick to recommend are a bit expensive at $3...way too much to consider for a side order, in my opinion. Also, some people might be put off by the amount of grease (probably attributed to the cheese), but personally, being the glutton I am, it's perfectly fine with me. read more

The meat is juicy, the buns are wonderful, the staff is friendly, and the grease drips onto the table. The fries are crisp and lacking that thing called "flavor" I've heard so much about. This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. I also ordered cheese curds and they were hot and fresh. We bought 4 pints of frozen custard to enjoy at home! The Georgia Peach is delicious! First time going here. The staff was very friendly and greeted everyone when they walked in. Our family ordered the Butter Burger meal, Sourdough Burger meal, and the 2 piece Fired Cod. All three of us enjoyed the food. My burger was perfect! I ordered it as a double meat, but a single patty would be more than enough next time. I liked their fries, they are the crinkle cut kind. My wife said the Cod was great. I tried it as well and loved it. It came with a dinner roll, fries and green beans. She said the green beans tasted a bit waxy. I didn't try them. Their sweet tea was very good as well. Sadly we did not try any of their ice cream. We were stuffed by the end of our meal. They do have a different specialty ice cream everyday! I also didn't have the interest to try to fight traffic to go anywhere else. Chicken strips were good. Service was pleasant and efficient. My custard was delicious but I'm so tired of going to Culver's and having the flavor of the day being something I have no interest in (Toffee Pecan anyone?).
