I have never had a bad experience at Culver's. The burgers are great and fries are crisp. They have yummy flavor of the day ice cream.

Food was crap. Ordered the Walleye. Breading was horrible. FF cold. Only good thing was the chocolate malt. Didn't pay attention to the price, but paid $38.67 for 3 piece Walleye and malt. Called the store when I got to the hotel to complain and was to wait for a manager, still waiting 10 minutes later.. Have been too 4 other Culver and never this disappointed or frustrated. read more

Wow. I just came in for a shake but a buddy ordered the fish sandwich and my eyes became the size of dinner plates when I saw the massive hunk of fried fish embedded between the buns. I imagine our friendly waitress must've carried it to our table with both hands with biceps strained from the weight. Impressive. I rarely order fish sandwiches but I'll have to make a return trip to try this behemoth for myself and see how it hits me in the eats. I tried my first Culver's shake and was expecting it to be a flop because I'm an ice cream kind of guy and not accustomed to this custard charlatan nonsense trying to fake out my palette. I'm humbled. I had a mint shake and it WAS made with custard and it WAS delicious and it WAS beautifully presented in the clear cup it came in. And smooth. Oh it was one smooth shake and evenly flavored throughout. This custard stuff has something going for it. Come summertime when this Kentucky heat begins beating me down, I anticipate giving Culver's a reasonable portion of my paycheck for mint shakes alone. And then burgers. And maybe fish sandwiches. And that special root beer. And the cheese curds. Oh yeah and the fries. Cool place to eat. I dig the blue and white look and appreciate the cleanliness of the joint. Fish beware. We love Culver's and always have. Very professional group of dedicated employees and typically great fresh food! Unfortunately after having a codfish sandwich combo recently I found it to be the most tasteless sandwich ever and discarded it which is not normal for Culver's. It is a different restaurant here between night and day. Evenings here are terrible compared to day shift shining stars like Dustin. Tonight we asked for two flavor of the day cones at 7:15. It cost a little more than $6. At 7:40 with our number on mirror, we finally called them to remind that we are waiting on ice cream. They admitted they forgot, despite no one inside at register and only one car behind us. When the young lady brought out ice cream cones, they were upside down in cups with no spoons and she said, "sorry they're a little melted." A little? It's 20 degrees out with snow on the ground and we get melted ice cream. Most of it gone. She gave us two free item coupons but I'd rather have them remake our ice cream. Irritated by the fact they thought this was acceptable way of making things right, I wasn't gonna wait a minute more by requesting them to remake it. This is the third time we've had an issue with night shift. Last two visits, my husband ordered chocolate concrete mixers, but both times they were vanilla with a little chocolate syrup in them. Wondering if they even offer chocolate concrete mixers like they advertise. We asked the lady if it was chocolate to confirm, and she just brushed it off expecting us to take it. We won't ever be back at night again. Little consideration, initiative, attentiveness and low standards of service. Such a shame. read more

bad like other reviews were lies to make them look good. they were bots, i am very disappointed on how long they took like it took them 40 minutes to even get my 2 burgers out, also disappointed on how the workers are and the manager mainly because they dont do nothing but sit there and be on their phone talking or telling people to also do work, dont get me started on the owner to, do nothing but all worry about being strict on what people wear for example like necklaces, any piercing, etc, like do better on everything please do. $30 for two fish meals that were raw! Just dough and grease.. the fries were saturated in grease, as was the roll that came with the meal. Worse than the meal, was the fact that the restaurants policy is no refunds!!! No refunds for raw food??? How are they still in business? read more

I will never order anything from this worthless restaurant again. After a year of having our order completely wrong we decided to give it another try. This is what we ordered: -Chicken Value basket, grilled with Florentine soup, medium drink - Two kids meals with corn dogs and cheese curds and apple juice - Cod basket sandwich (plain due to food allergies) fries and drink. 39.97 total I had the order taker read it back to make sure it was right. This is what 39.97 gets you instead. No kids meals 1 hamburger, two orders of fries and two fully covered cod sandwiches The only thing that was right was the drink order. Looks as though nothing has changed and no one cares about doing their job with any pride or ownership. This is the last time I will ever try this place again. 40.00 for nothing. I was robbed. I can never say "No" to Culver's! After stopping in for dinner though, I was somewhat disappointed with the service here. It would appear (Being Summer and all) that the employees were largely teens looking for extra money. They seemed to be a more discombobulated bunch than I am used to at Culver's. It took longer to get the food, and when it did come the Cheese Curds I ordered were replaced with Onion Rings. I pointed out the error and was promised some Cheese Curds, but they never materialized (Bonus: The Onion Rings are pretty good) I WOULD stop in again though, nothing that hasn't happened at every other fast food joint I've ever been to. read more

Wow! Everything we tried was delicious. From the concrete mixer to the cheese curds to the burgers, it was really a cut above just about any other fast food I've had. We stopped by here since I like to go to local places when I travel, rather than going to the same place I've eaten 100 times. I wish this place were available elsewhere, though - it's just too delicious. Cheese curds are like a less oily version of mozzarella sticks, and available as part of a combo (for an upcharge) - winning! And the mushroom and Swiss burger was fantastic, too - savory, sizeable, and a great blend with the condiments. Lastly, their custard is of course delicious too, being one of the things they're famous for. I got Oreo and cookie dough mixed in a concrete mixer, and that ended up being a fanatic, sugar-coma-inducing combo. It's a little bit more expensive than your average fast food place, but not a lot, and the difference is more than worth it. read more

I want to love my hometown Culvers, but I can't. I've been coming to this location since it opened years ago. Management was always nice & friendly & the employees really cared about helping the customers. It's been about a year or so ago since I've noticed the decline in service & quality food at this location. I've been here about 5 times since my last review, trying to give it a second chance. I get frustrated every time I leave. If it's not subpar food, it's subpar service. A few days ago I went through the drive thru & got a short raspberry concrete mixer & a mini m&m one. The employee at the window didn't greet me or anything. Nathan just barked the total & gave me two cups & were covered in custard & gave me my debit card back. From the look of his uniform, he was one of the management team. I would hope that they would be more friendly. Both of the concrete mixers barely had any toppings in them. The m&m mixer looked like vanilla custard with about 5 mini m&ms in it. All in all I wish they would retrain or clean house. I wished this Culvers was back to the way it was when it opened. read more

This little burger joint up the road from the Marriot is an easy in and quick out. After you have been on a series of flights and just want to get to your room. I will stop in once or twice a visit to the area when pressed for time. The kitchen area is well staffed. So put your order in, take your number, and find a place to sit. They will bring your food out to you. While you wait this is a good time to get napkins, fill your drink, and fiddle with your phone if eating alone. Burgers are made to order. So consider what you want on the burger before walking up to the counter. I like the cheese curds myself but they tend to overcook them a bit at this location. The cheese should spill out of its crusty encasing. If you have to chase after it that was to much heat. Milwaukee does cheese curds unlike anyplace on earth. Oh man. Kentucky is still learning a few tricks. One burger will do it for most people. This is no McDonalds. Be prepared for a substantial meal and good portions. I go in wanting a SMALL sundae but can never find the room for it by-myself. If you have someone with you be sure to enlist there help. Because it is GOOD. read more

Burger was good but not great, crinkle fries I could buy at Kroger. Not sure about all the butter hype must just up the fat content as it did little for the flavor. Best fried chicken ever! I always get the breasts only, and they have big Dolly Pardon chicken breasts! Great flavor, crispy outside, tender and juicy inside. Dont care much for the green beans, but everything else is okay. Really good burgers,too, in case you get tired of the half-wits at McDonald's, who couldn't get an order right if their lives depended on it, or get the condiments and cheese ON the sandwich instead of hanging all over the outside! Good Lord, it's not rocket science! They must stand 10 feet away and just give the sh** a fling! It used to be one of my favorites. I really struggled with this review as I'm trying to be fair, as I truly have a love/hate relationship with this store. The problem are the employees, which are either fantastic or terrible. Many problems with being shorted food on takeout orders. I call Culver's corporate and am basically blown off every time. I have spoken with the owner, who is a very sweet lady. The problem is when she's not there, there are a couple of managers who don't pay attention to quality control and prefer to argue with the customers. That's where the problems begin. Always check each individual item in the order and don't take their word for it. If they have packed more than 2 meals into a single large bag, remove it and do inventory before you leave. I've been shorted enough food to buy a few meals there and each time they promise to take down my name to replace in the future but then there's no record of that the next time I come in. There's then also the issue of the Culver's corporate rules which demand that a customer assemble their own burger at their table (handling the hot greasy patties with their fingers...yes, I've gotten burnt multiple times) if you order a gluten free bun. I used to order it where they would assemble it all in the kitchen for me but they now refuse to. They claim it's because of their "risk team" being concerned about cross contamination...which I would think wouldn't be a concern if the customer specifically accepts the risks and asks for them to do the burger for them...plus I would think that the burning of ones fingers with the hot, greasy patties would offer a greater "risk exposure" by a customer getting their fingers burned. They disagreed both at the store and corporate level. It's really sad because these small issues which could have been easily handled and instead became opportunities for Culver's employees to be in my face and rude over it, are why I will not return...which drives me absolutely crazy because I live their burgers and ice cream. I was skeptical of this place because I was really not wanting fast food, but this place did not disappoint at all. I have eaten a lot of burgers but this was one of the best burgers i have ever eaten. Despite being a little expensive I was able to use some coupons to get two burgers and two sundaes and ended up spending less than $10 dollars, that's outstanding.
