In my opinion, Culver's is the very best fast food restaurant, partly due to the fact that it's not very fast. Your food isn't cooked until you order. Whether you are dining inside or going through the drive through, your food is brought to you. The butter burgers are fantastic. The ground beef is never frozen. Thin patties that taper to the slightly crispy edges. Single, double, triple patties. Two or three cheese options. The Atlantic cod sandwich will destroy any misconceptions you might have about fish sandwiches. The batter is light. The meat is white, thick, and firm. The quality is as good or better than any cod I've ever had! I rarely bother with chicken strips but theirs are very tender and perfectly breaded. The first time I casually bit into one, it was so good that I thought they had given me the wrong thing. Ice cream (frozen custard), shakes, malts, etc are very good also. Only two negatives: 1) The prices (and the quality) are on the very high end for fast food. 2) If you are going through the drive through, check your bag before you drive off. Terrible service. Stood in a long line for 1 cashier. Placed order for custard and shake only. Waited for 25 minutes. Had to ask for our order. When they tried to give me order it was obviously sitting there for a long time, was completely melted and the worker was upset when I asked to have it remade. They remade the custard but didn't redo the shake. Shake was terrible! They had no order to anything. Someone was making custards and just putting them on a counter. People putting together orders had to guess what each one was. I'm sure plenty of people got the wrong thing as I watched workers just shrug their shoulders and put a custard on the tray because they couldn't figure out which one was for what order. i usually think Culver's is great but this location was a disappointment. Could have used an extra person in front for orders since it was busy so wait time was longer than normal. my biggest concern was the cleanliness of the dining room and the bathroom. I have never left a Culver's thinking it needed a good cleaning but in this case, that was my thought upon leaving! read more

Waited in the drive thru for 15 mins. Got our concrete mixers, they were runny. Didn't get any of them correct. Very dissapointed :(

Worst service ever! The first thing I noticed was that the guy taking my order completely walked away to talk to his coworker about who knows what. Didn't get my order right and my friend asked for a milkshake and he didn't put it on the order. Then when I finally get my order taken the ice machine was completely empty and workers who were supposed to be working were just standing around talking. I watched a guy fiddle with the tray liners for about 3 minutes and nobody was bagging any of the food coming out. Also I noticed that the garbage next to the drink dispenser was full and you couldn't even barely out anything in there. Once I got my food, I headed on the bus and noticed that there was absolutely no sauce on my sandwich. Overall I would say this was an awful experience. read more

The harvest veggie burgers are terrible. You'd think that a place that prides itself on the butter burger would get wise to the fact that the impossible burgers could be made a butter burger in the same way as a regular one but instead they refuse to serve good vegetarian food. We won't be going to Culver's again but instead will go to competitors like Burger King and White Castle who do in fact have delicious impossible burgers. Wise up Culver's! Zero stars. read more

went to this place last week and ordered two meals in drive. i only got one drink (not the right drink), none of the sauces i ordered, and got charged an extra hamburger patty in between two buns with nothing on (in) it, and waited 20 minutes. today i did a curdside. which i do at other locations and comes out quicker than drive thru), and i simply ordered 2 mini chocolate ice cream scoops. waited in the curdside parking space and after waiting for about 45 minutes, we went inside and they already had them made and never brought them out. we got them and they were pure liquid. never going to this location again, and would not recommend to others. read more

I just can't seem to come up with anything good about this place... nor can I come up with anything bad. Service is slower, but the food is fresher, so that evens out. It's more expensive, but the quality is profoundly better than most fast food, again it evens out. Whenever I come here I feel like I am eating food from one of those old-timey malt shops. A decent burger and fries, occasionally some cheese curds, and the drive in style serving. To a certain degree I really don't understand the draw to come here. I always end up over here for lunch or dinner on my way back from the Twin Cities. Well, it's far enough from the traffic that you can enjoy a meal. Anyways, I always get the Atlantic cod sandwich or meal. It's better than your basic fish and chips. I never had their frozen custard and should try it one of these days:) Just visited there last Friday for lunch and the place was packed. My friend and I are doing a rating for each restaurant in town that serves chicken tender/nuggets and ranch, and Culver's was a contender. They are no longer. We have obviously been there before our ratings, but not in recent times, so clearly we had to refresh our minds for an accurate rating on our comparative list. We came last week, through the drive through, and ordered a four piece chicken tender, ranch, two chocolate shakes, and some onion rings. To our dismay, the onions in the onion rings were either too slimy or undercooked or both for some. Worse than that, we opened the bag to reveal NO RANCH for our chicken and ranch rating. You wanna know what WAS there? HORSERADISH SAUCE. NOT ranch... they don't sound the same to me... But oh well, we ate it and decided to not add that to our rating list, and instead give it another chance. We came back again tonight for try #2. This time we didn't even bother with the onion rings, and instead just went for a four piece chicken tender and two chocolate shakes, and of course, RANCH. So, we receive our bag and shakes, and low and behold... there is NO ranch. a feeling of disappointment overcame us for the second time due to Culver's. They are the lowest on the ratings now. If you're looking for a good place to get chicken and ranch, go anywhere else. read more

Great sandwiches, burgers, and the best malts I have ever had. (sorry, DQ) Really wish they would expand to Los Angeles.

Culvers is the best, being from Wisconsin. Food is worth the short wait and any of the deserts are amazing. I recommend the chocolate malt.
