Sushi Sashimi Combo

Update: We've been enjoying this wonderful place for over 5 years, and have not once been disappointed with our meals. Today we came in for lunch, and a lot of tables were already taken. Our host was very polite and accommodating, there was light music on, and our drink order was taken. The owner Lucinda made herself available for questions about the menu. My partner asks for a special chicken soup flavored with lemongrass that was made for her "delicate" tummy, with added cabbage, that Lucinda had recommended, and has remembered every summer we come here during our travels from Texas. I've ordered different items but keep coming back to sushi/sashimi, and a takeout order of their exquisitely delicious Chicken Curry. We have yet to try Teriyaki anything, or Soba anything, but eventually some years later we might stray from the orders that keep us coming, and will continue to keep us coming!

With not many options to eat in this area we decided to go here. The menu is extensive from sushi to hibachi and different kind of soups. I was particularly impressed by the generous portions and the freshness of the ingredients. The sushi rolls were substantial, with large pieces of fresh fish and perfectly ripe avocado. The reason why I gave 3 stars is my Naruto roll was not good it just wasn't tasty at all. However I loved my spicy seafood soup which was well seasoned. I also got hibachi came with shrimp fried rice chicken and steak, salad and soup. I also ordered the eel and avocado roll and Mizuki fashion roll that was also okay. The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly, attentive, and professional, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance is very chill not so busy with soft lighting and peaceful music .I would come back to try more menu items specifically hibachi

The time I called them on Wednesday to back up my claim

Never coming back to this place again u lost a costumer be aware last Wednesday I ordered chicken fried rice for takeout I noticed it had a strange smell coming to it i thought it was different food they messed up my order or something but it was the chicken fried rice but I didn't think much so I ate mostly all the food a couple hours later I noticed I was burping up nasty stuff and I was feeling nausea I've been feeling sick ever since I ate the food I have been having severe nausea I threw up almost 11 times and it's been getting worse it has not got better I will be going to the hospital tomorrow to see what is wrong with me Im pretty sure it's food poisoning and I also have to say the food tasted very very very weird 1-10 never going here again waste of money and shitty portions. And I also have a timestamp of when I called them so u know Im not lying

We just moved to the area and now have a great sushi spot . Definitely worth the value. Flavors were great and everything we tried was fantastic. I really enjoyed the beer I ordered Sapporo. I can't wait to return .

Good spot for sure! The food is delicious as well. We recommend it fosho. The water glass was basic though so 3 stars but still the food is good!

The staff is wonderful, even when they're slammed. The service is excellent. The restaurant is clean, the food is always so fresh. Seriously a gem in Rochester.

The Internet shows they close at 7:45 pm, but the store sign shows they close at 8:00 am. There is parking in the front and also in the back. The back parking looked like residential parking with the nearby homes, but the staff assured me it's their parking lot. My party of three got seated right away towards the window facing the front parking lot. We received laminated menus. The menu can be confusing because it doesn't show the full pricing for the pho options. I had to ask the waitress for clarification since there were pricing next to the meat options and pho options. I ordered the oxtail and rib beef pho which was a total of $26 plus taxes. The broth was flavorful, but cloudy with residue from the meat. The noodle was soft, but firm. The oxtail was soft and fall off the bone good. The rib was soft but tough. It was disappointing because I thought it would be soft and tender, like fall off the bone good. Also they forgot to include it in the pho soup and when I asked about it, they brought it out right away. Pho rating - I rate it 3/5. My friend order the cream cheese wonton. It was good, 3/5 good. Staff members were friendly. Just be aware that a staff member may tell you they will be closing soon. That happened to us this time. Overall the place was small, but sizable for a dinner outing with a small group of friends. I would go there again, but wouldn't go out of my way to order it.

I asked for the bomb wings and asked that they be tossed in the sauce, that I like sauce all over all of the wings. She said ok. A young black man wearing a orange jail house uniform, dude make better choices, brought out my wings, and when I asked him to take them back and have them fixed the way I liked, he rolled his eyes and clicked his teeth, he then began to tell Juila what's wrong in a snipet tone. Juila says the kitchen won't do that, they have there ways of doing things. I have been in this business for over 40yrs I have eaten in shed restaurants in the deep south, to top 4 star restaurants in NY,Miami,Tampa,D.C, LA. And I have never heard this type of excuse on why I can't get my order the way I want it. She didn't even try and advocate for me. The manager,Amy never came over to see if she could do anything. Juila sat the wings down and walked away. They sat there for 23min,yes we were watching the clock, we being the couple with the lovely little girl sitting next to me. Who wanted to say something about it. When Juila finally came over and I sent the wings back, she didn't come back to me for 14min. She never made any suggestions, like she did to the other 3 tables that sat in her section. She never came back to check on me, 2bites,2 min. I finally got a box for my chicken, are you for real.... I asked the hostess for a plastic container she said ok and went back to the host stand, there were no guest at the stand. It was another 9min before I was able to flag juila down. I left her $5 on a $32 check to help cover the taxes. I NORMALLY leave at least $20 for a tip. I have been known to tip 100% before. When ppl ask me what's a good place to eat EVERYTIME, the 1st place that comes out of my mouth is THAI POP. Even pull up the menu for them to see and give my recommendations. And tell them the story behind this great place. Every since Linda left I have only had good service 1 time. I sat at the bar, which I hate to do because I don't drink and it cuts into the bartenders money. The bartender, big white guy, early 30s wears a bandana, was so cool. I wasn't having a good day and he said it will get better, and to sit here as long as I like. That was the nicest thing that had been said to me all week.

Although a native West Coaster, I know live on the Iron Range, and getting to eat a variety of good ethnic food (Thai being a favorite) is at least a good 2.5 to 3-hour drive for me now. Even with all of the options the Twin Cities area presents, I will ALWAYS opt for this place if I'm craving Thai. I love the consistency of the food being amazing, the comfortable ambience, the friendly staff, and of course, the free parking. Favorites? Tom Kha Coconut soup and Massamun Curry (chicken). The Spicy Noodles and Spicy Thai Basil Fried Rice are HUGE winners, too. Come hungry, because the portions are huge, and I am here for all of it! An interesting thing of note is that on all of my visits, I have never been asked for a spiciness preference level. Yet, the food always comes out delicious and at a perfectly spiced level. My young son, who does not like spicy food at all, has loved every dish (advertised as non-spicy) he has tried here. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially given the portion sizes. I honestly cannot sing enough praises about this restaurant, and I hope to always be able to visit when I'm in the area. Thank you for giving this West Coaster a taste of all of the good (ethnic) restaurants I'm missing!
