Have eaten here a bunch of times and the food is typically good. They have made a few errors here and there but will correct it as long as you bring it up to them. This is why I HATE drive-thru's!!! Three different times, 3 different places this week, every single order has been wrong. Of course, nobody is worse than Popeye's. Just came home from ordering chili supreme. I mean, how hard can it be? A small container of onions, a small container of cheese and a small container of sour cream. That's what I paid for. I love this Culver's, for one they are so close to my house and they offer quick services and food at easy to swallow prices. Some of the best things to order (in my opinions) are there fish dinner,buffalo chicken tenders, cheese curds, and of course fresh ice cream! Though my friends and I only stopped by to get (3) scoops of the Flavor of the Day, Crazy for Cookie Dough, which is their "creamy Vanilla and Chocolate Fresh Frozen Custard swirled together and mixed with thick fudge, ribbons of old fashioned salted caramel and cookie dough pieces", I have to give 5 stars to this particular Culver's location for the following (2) reasons: Reason #1 Dana, the employee who took care of our order, provided some of the best customer service I've received from a Culver's employee. A small gesture of kindness had a big impact on me as a customer. Reason #2 Because it was close to closing time (cue the Semisonic song), there was a guy who was vacuuming in the section next to ours. He came over and asked if it would be okay if he vacuumed, warning us that it would be loud. It wasn't even that loud, but I appreciated the courteous heads up and ask. If I'm ever in the Lombard area, I won't hesitate to stop by for some frozen custard at this Culver's location, and ask for Dana! read more

I'm usually not a fast foodie, mainly because I don't eat red meat and don't care for fried foods; but I will say that Culver's isn't a bad little place for a fast food restaurant. I stopped there in desperation yesterday as I hadn't had any lunch and was going cross country skiing, and I was surprised to see the depth of their menu! They actually had walleyed pike on the menu - one of my favorite fish - unfortunately it was deep fried, but I was able to pull the crust off and enjoy it! They also had cheese curds on the menu, and those are sure hard to find south of the WI border. Their coleslaw was tasty, and I am told by friends that their burgers are good, if you're into that kind of stuff. read more

First experience, worst experience. I was running some late errands and figured I would get a shake for my hubby and a sundae for myself. I went through the drive- thru, no one was ahead of me or behind me. I ordered a small chocolate shake and a small turtle sundae no pecans for myself. I paid for it. Which one perk was they checked my id, per my debit card signature. He said it would be up in a minute. I sat there for a good 6mins, they handed me the shake. Another 10 mins went by and they handed me the sundae. It was extremely melted already. As if they had forgotten about it. It had been a long night and at that point I didn't want to argue. I asked for a holder and placed my shake on the floor. Little did I know a slight turn and the shake tipped over. Now driving couldn't do anything about it. Nor could I see the damage. Until I get home and park my car. The shake with its overly huge open top had spilled the runny shake all over the floormat. With the one napkin they gave me it was a disaster for my night. I had shake everywhere. Trying to remove the floor mat without getting or spreading the molding of shake was horrific. It had gotten all over me, on the seat, on the door. And the groceries on my seat. Thankfully, as I was trying to search for more napkins. A mom pulling in with her kids saw me kneeling on the floor and offered me some napkins. It took me 15 napkins and a trip to my condo. To come back and finish the clean up. Oh, by the way. I didn't get to eat my soup sundae nor did he get any shake. read more

Now, let me be clear, I only get concrete mixers from here as I don't eat meat or fast food. The concrete mixers are consistent to concrete mixers from any other Culver's. I think it is obvious to most that culvers burgers are delicious but since I am trying to avoid greasy fatty food I thought i would go with a salad. Well actually my husband loves fast food and can afford to eat it unlike myself so he knew i would be hungry and got me a salad. I know some may be thinking "who gets a salad from culvers" but clearly even culvers doesn't think anyone will by their salads because they are terrible. The chicken was basically not cooked and the lettuce was brown. Now I get that salad isn't their specialty but if you are going to charge almost $8 for it it should be slightly better..... I just feel like they need to cater to health conscious people as well and that does not just happen by slapping a few salads on the.menu make them actually worth it! read more

Follow that up with a scoop of the "flavor of the day" and you're in heaven. The three F's apply to Culver's: Friendly, Fabulous and Fiiire. The food will probably make you gain about 30 lbs if you eat here regularly, you will more than likely develop high blood pressure, diabetes and sleep apnea. But honey, child! I have always been a fan of Culver's food, especially of the chicken salad sandwiches they offer. Today I ordered a simple meal of chicken tenders and custard. I asked them when ordering if they had swirl and the girl replied that they didn't, however she was more than accommodating and immediately offered to do one scoop of vanilla and one scoop of chocolate. I always enjoy Culver's. Even though it's fast food, the meat is of a higher quality than McDonald's so it doesn't mess with my digestion. I also think the flavor is good. You can't go wrong with a butter burger. I can't speak for the other items but the burger and fries are good. I know they have custard but I haven't tried.
